One thing that bugs the heck out of me with the newscasts is that those of us without cars never get to hear any RTA updates when we're heading out the door or back home. I would love hearing updates on whether a certain rail line was running late in the morning, if certain bus routes are late, or even if things are running on time.
Us people who choose to live car free in Cleveland shouldn't have to be kept in the dark. I really hope that Fox 8 can work with RTA or find some way that RTA can provide them with information as to the status of the buses and trains. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to see this in the morning and evening newscasts. They did this in Chicago and it helped me tremendously there.
Racist? You find that letter racist? Lady, do you even know what racism is?
"Dumber than mud" is an expression used for ANY individual regardless of color, religion, nationality, anything. The fact that you are trying to turn this issue into a race issue is unbelievable and a huge blow to the real victims of racism in the United States. Oh, but when your son refused to shake the Councilman's hand because he was white, that wasn't racism? Grasp reality, please.
Why are you trying to start a "racism" argument? Could it be to make up for your lack of any parenting skills? You should be happy to have an individual like the Councilman to care enough to send this letter to your son as a wake up call to fix his life. Nothing in the letter was threatened against him, it just foreshadowed what would happen if he continued along his path. And you have the gall to state that you will sue the Councilman? How convenient, you step in to help your son when there is a monetary value involved with a lawsuit.
This is the problem with the thug culture that grips the city, everyone always wants to blame someone else. No one wants to be held accountable for their own actions, it's always someone else's fault that your child is off selling drugs. It's never the parent's fault for not teaching him right from wrong and not stopping the problem when it first started. The parents always find someone else to blame and are only ready to speak out against the problem when their child dies.
Well Mrs. Winston, your son is now a man (18) and is on his own. You've already destroyed your chance to help shape a future for him and are only showing everyone in the region at the lack of parenting power that you possessed.
