I have tried to listen to both the candidates to hear what they're going to do for me. So far I've heard over and over what Senator Obama's plans are from both Senator McCain and Senator Obama's camp. However, Senator McCain reminds me of a used car salesmen. Senator McCain and Govenor Palin seems to think I interested in what they have done in there past. They seem to think I'm interested in who Senator Obama has been in the company of, they seem to think I"m interested that Iraq has a democracy. Well please allow me to tell Senator McCain and Govenor Palin what I'm interested in;

I'm interested in being able to have a job and earn a descent wage without being taxed to death.

I'm interested in being able to afford health insurance, copays, dental, and eye exams.

I'm interested in helping those American people that live in this country to get jobs, have medicare, and get an affordable education.

I'm interested in finding alternative fuel sources.

I'm interested in the retirees, that they have enough money to live comfortably, after all they helped build this country.

Those are a few things that myself and many other Americans are interested in.

I could care less that you suspended your campaigne. If you think it's that important then suspend it until the whole mess is straightened out. According to you, you couldn't stop it when you saw it was comming so what make you think you can stop it now?

Lastly, Please stop trying to down Senator Obama and his campaigne and please start allowing to hear that straight talk that you and Govenor Palin talk so much about, because up until now all both of you have done is attempt to baffle the American people with BS.

Obama hasn't been honest with the American people. We need to know about our candidates. Why won't Obama alow anyone to see his college records. What is he hiding.

Personally I'm not concerned with Senator Obama's college records. As I have stated and the topic of this blog. " I'm interested in the issues at hand. I quite sure if Senator Obama was hiding anything that could stop him from holding office it would have been bought to light when he ran for Senator, and definetly by now.

Waterlover - "have tried to listen to both the candidates to hear what they're going to do for me."

This reminded me of another Democrat President from the past. JFK (No, not John F Kerry). John F. Kennedy said in his Inaugural Address:

"Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You speech
Inaugural Address by John F. Kennedy - January 20th 1961"

He also said: "The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe - the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God. "

Reminds me of how the Democrat party left me in the 70s. They used to be so conservative.

girlscout - Thank you, I believe I echo the sentiments of many Americans that are well below the 250k income. McCain and Palin claims to give straight talk, however, they won't address the issues. The only thing they seem to talk straight about is slamming Senator Obama and Senator Biden. I really can't blame Obama and Biden for defending themselves with a few slams of there own. After a while anyone will get tired of being attacked. Finally, I hope the American people don't get caught up in the "Patriotic American" BS. Patriotism is not sacrificing the middle class so that the rich can stay rich. Seems like that's just what the 700 billion dollar bail out did. Those greedy bankers could have easily re-wrote those loans at affordable interest rates and everyone would have been fine. now that there in trouble they want to be bailed out. My message to Senator McClain and Govenor Palin is; You're not like the Average American, and we're tired of working our buts off and at the end of the day our reward is not a new house, not a new car, not new appliances, not affordable college education for our kids, not even a wide screen tv, but instead our reward is to bail the greedy rich out and to sacrifice our kids in a war that should be in the first place. "Sorry, got a little passionate"

Hybridtalk - I as and American feel that my quality of life is being threatened. Many of the benifets that I've been acustomed to have been or are being stripped away. In many of the major companies only the salary people are retaining the benefits, whereas hourly people are losing more and more benefits by the day. Sure I hear the salaried people complain of the high cost of health care, however I don't hear them complain about the enormous bonuses that they receive. I go to work everyday, and I'm a good citizen. I pay my taxes, and even donate time and monies to many charities. Seems as the the rich don't feel that they should have to pay taxes. They feel that we should work for low wages and be happy, and I guess anything the we do receive should come from God's hand. Well in this country we all have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. " I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death" (Patrick Henry).

waterlover926;
If you were Honest with us and yourself, you would have heard. It makes NO difference who the President is, Congress has a way of destroying everything they try to do, or did you forget that too. I hate empty promises almost as much as folks with Dirty Ears. May I suggest you clean yours out. What in the _ell has Hussein said he would do? He can't hear either, sat in that Hate Filled Church, Married a thing that Hates this Nation. Takes Money from or gives money to KNOWN terrorist, who we are supposed to forget because he was a young man when he did the Bombings and Killings. Guess what, our soldiers are younger than he was, and yes they are dying for you're freedom. Wake up. No Hussein, No Amnesty, No New Taxes.

hdrider - It's clear to me that you're no stranger to hate. I'll pray for you on that point. I must disagree on all your points. It make a great difference who's the President If it didn't then why are you against Senator Obama holding the office? My ears are very clean, my eyes are wide open, and my brain is working just fine. However, I won't be a sheep that's led to the slaughter without a fight."It's not how big the dog is that's in the fight, it's how big the fight that's in the dog" (Ludacris). You can believe what ever you want to believe as will I. Iraq has never posed a threat to our national security. What were they going to attach us with, rocks? remember they have yet to find any weapons of mass destruction. Our soldiers are dying protecting oil, and if Senator McCain get's in office they will continue to die. Also they were suppose to be looking for Bin Ladin, well here's a news flash He's in Afganistan and have been for years. So I may I suggest that you take your own advise and wake up. I'm hoping that you make over 250k per annum, because if you don't then I really can't understand any of your points.

First of all, 250k is chump change as you well know. As for Weapons of Mass Destruction, you must not have heard about Hussein using Serin Gas on his OWN People, do you think we were not next? As for the Hate, "There is a Time to Love and a Time to Hate" The BIBLE, read it sometime and don't bother Praying for me. Pray for this NATION!! One question, since you know everything; What is Bin Ladin's address? The Defense Dept. and I would love to know, and you will be a very rich man for that INFO!

hdrider - if 250 is chump change to you then I fully understand why you are on the McCain/Palin band wagon. However, it's not chump change to me and many other Americans. And that's why I'm voting for Barak Hussein Obama. So where is the supply of Serin Gas? I guess there still looking for it. I have never read in the Bible where there is a time to hate. If you can find that passage I would be more than happy to admit my err. As far a Bin Laden, I can't tell you exactly where he is but I can tell you he's not in Iraq. May God almighty remove the hatefulness from your heart and fill it with love for you fellow human beings. Amen.

Amen to that. Hypocrites. They are civil to each other in the debates, then turn around and mud-sling in all their commercials.

Sen McCain and Gov Palin are not in touch. McCain sounds like an Old Man, Palin sounds like Trash, the loud mouth at the bar. I dont think we have a viable candidate, but, Sen Obama and Biden I feel are the lessor of 2 evils. McCain talks about American workforce but claims to have taken on the Unions, BAD BAD. I do wish Obama and Biden had a more Pro Gun position.

Waterlover926...its bout time I come across someone who thinking realistically on here!

You know Mccain/Palin are trying to distract people from the real issues as in the people,
there slogan says country first, but they forget that the people are the country.

You know its funny how people forget the lies we were told about Iraq having theses weapons of mass destruction and that Bin laden is still at large.
Its funny that the actual current president has had real ties to the Bin Laden family and that Mccain NEVER admits that the war is wrong.

Funny how Mccain/Palin/Republicans true colors come out when things don't go there way..
And funny how the Mccain supporters on here still are being led like animals to the slaughter house...

If a man will not pledge his allegiance to this country how can we trust him to take and obey the oath of the office of President?

I would like to add a thought and a question here thanks. Don’t you guys think that there is a big difference between wearing a pin as apposed to pledging allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America ext… You guys have good points but you kind of lost me on the pin thing. What is so sacred of a pin that makes even close to the pledge of the United States? I say that we ask Obama, what’s up with this pledge thing? I want to see him pledge the United States and when he takes office put his hand on the King James Bible to do it too. Thank you and God bless from Karl.
