Within the past two weeks there have been numerous news stories of persons on various police departments who have been breaking the very laws that they are sworn to uphold.

One in Parma on disabilty and making $66,000.00 per year and selling drugs.

One in Cleveland transporting and selling drugs.

One in E. Cleveland using monies for tickets to sports events.

One taking money from the evidence room (14,000.00 in confiscated drug money) and using it for his own use.

One in Lorain violating a protection order regarding his estranged wife.

One in Stow, using his buddies in another county to deliver orders to take his child out of the country.

One in Texas leaving his dog in a hot car all day, the dog died, while he goofed off all day running errends and socializing with his wife.

And  there is probably one or two more that i missed.

The question is WHAT IS UP?????????????

I  KNOW  that Police are not poverty stricken, they make a lot more than minimum wage, they want the respect of the community and others.   Many serve with distinction and they are to be applauded, but some apparently think that the badge that they put on gives them license to do what ever they want.

What example is being shown to the younger generation???? The Cleveland police union boss says that he needs 300 more officers to properly police  the streets. Who is going to police the police?

I see in todays news that one of Cleveland's finist was caught trafficing in drugs brought in from Mexico. There is a lot of media yelling about taking back Cleveland's streets and about the thugs who are going into the neighborhods and selling drugs to kids and others. I just wrote a blog about the knucklehead  who received 90 days for selling drugs and he deserves the time and he still has to face court on other adult charges and now I see that a person who is supposed to uphold the law and protect the citizens from those who are selling drugs is one who is enabling the same people in the drug trade by supplying them with the stuff. Police are not poverty stricken. He receives his check each week along with other benefits and has no excuse for being greedy and cashing in on the illegal drug trade. He would be highly upset if someone sold drugs to one of his family members and caused him or her to become addicted. And he had  better not come up with the lame excuse that he is addicted and needs to go into rehab. Since he is a sworn peace officer who should be held to a higher standard he should not get the Paris Hilton treatment. Got that union bob. Afganistan had a record year in growing morphine and other drugs and is putting most of it into the illegal pipeline. And 5.0 is waiting on the shipment and letting it through so that it can hit the streets and he can line his pockets while pretending to be mr goodguy. If you do the crime, then do the time. An attorney just got off with a light sentence from messing with drugs. Take back the streets, 5.0 supplying drugs, what is up with that?? People are upset about Michael Vick and his pit bull dogs and gambling, but I must say this, that dogs fighting do not take  nor destroy human lives. Drugs do!!!!!!!

18 year old Arsenio Winston who received a letter from Councilman Mike Polensek who said that he would end up in jail or the cemetary if he continued to sell drugs and do other illegal activities still has his head up his aaazzz. He received 90 days in jail for a probation violation from juvie court and still has an adult case pending. This young person said that Mike Polensek should be held accountable for his comments in his letter that Arsenio was a thug and a looser. Mike was right on, especially about the criminal activities. Arsenio said that he felt threatened by what Mike Polensek said. Well, Mike was right. He had talked to this person on three previous occasions and told him that he could not sell drugs in Mikes neighborhood or ward. He is right. Arsenio can't sell drugs in my neighborhood either if I have anything to do with it. This clown thinks he is an unregistered street pharmasist or something. After he does this 90 days, I hope that the judge who he will face will give him more atime so that he can think about his dumb activities and maybe he will get a clue about life.
Arsenio! on the coount of one, grab your right ear with your left hand, one the count of two, grab your left ear with your right hand and on the count of three, PULL your head our of your aaazzz. and get a clue.
And don't have a nice 90 days.

First of all I hope that every military person and veteran is receiving the care and attention that they need and deserve.
Former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld showed that he did not really care about those in the military. Fact, he sent troops into combat not fully equipped. Fact, he visited the troops but as far as I am concerned it was a case of show and tell for his own gratification. Fact, he fired or got rid of those who did not do his will. Fact, he used a facimile signature on letters of condolence sent to the families of those who were killed in combat. With the recent disclosures of Walter Reed and what is happening to those wounded in combat, he would have made some dumb statement to the press (my opinion) just like the one that a soldier had to go to war with the equipment given to him or her. Bush wants to send 21,000 more troops to Iraq, in harms way, yet has presented a budget which cuts funding for vets in the future. I just hope that the Army and veterans administration get it together, get on the same page and quit politicking, because lives are at stake. Its too bad, Rumsfeld couldn't be called before the Senate and fired again. He has not been the best sect. of defense that served. He was just another political hack. Someone should have given him a rifle and had him go on patrol in Bagdad when he was there on his photo op.
I am a veteran.

I have been following the story about the couple from Norwalk who were foster parents to nine children, and who kept them in cages. They insisted that they loved the children when the case was first aired on the news. Now that they are on trial and their attorney is attempting to portray the parents as not doing anything wrong to the children, it just bothers me to no end, how two people can be so callous to other human beings, especially children. To make a child sleep in the bathtub as punishment for bedwetting is uncalled for. There have been rubber sheets on the market for many years to protect mattresses. I am glad that the neighbors testified as to what they say and what was said concerning the children. I see this as a case of GREED, pure and simple. The parents should be subjected to the same type of treatment that they put upon the children. I hope that the justice system will be thourough and swift.
