I remember telling my wife when the Red Sox got Manny Ramirez from the Indians that I couldn't understand why they want the headaches that Manny would bring.  Two World Series championships later the $64,000 question is has Red Sox Nation finally had enough of Manny's antics?  I guess we can say that Dan Duquette could be a general manager somewhere like in Dodgertown and then acquire him from the Red Sox since he didn't see anything wrong with Manny.

I remember hearing about all the stuff Manny would do in Cleveland and after a few of those stories, I had enough...and two World Series losses later Manny was in Boston with his stuff.  I was glad that Cleveland got rid of him...but they should of found a closer by now!  Or maybe the Indians could find a better general manager than what they have now.

Duquette did not have a great personality. He could only persuade players to come to Boston with the check book.

Putting the options in the Red Sox hands and not Manny, is the best part of the contract. I wonder if Dan realized this when drawing up the papers?

Trading for Pedro, Lowe and Varitek looked good, tho.

trade him to the Yankees, so Steinbrenner can hold a pay per view event, shaving Manny's head. Like Johnny Damons Hair do!

Yes, Manny can hit a ball when he want to, but I think his attitude is too detrimental to the team as a whole. Whether now or a little later, it would be best it they get rid of him.

Last time I checked, baseball is a "team" game. If Manny isn't happy in Boston anymore then trade him. As we found out with Nomar, no one is above the "Team"! Thanks for the memories, now let's move on.

I was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from Ashland High School. I'm a big Cleveland sports fan as well as the Columbus Blue Jackets. I keep up with the Indians and the Cavs on WTAM. I also love reading online newspapers as that is the main way I keep up with what is going on in Ohio. I am a conservative that relies on websites like the Ashbrook Center and talk radio to get most of my news of the day. I live in Derry, NH; and work at a postal facility in Nashua, NH. I go to Manchester, Providence, Pawtucket, and Portland, Maine; to watch minor league baseball and hockey to relax and to see the future major league baseball or hockey players.
