Are you as frustrated with the Indians as I am?   For someone who worked with prospects in the minor leagues, Eric Wedge is too impatient with young players.  How are players like Astrubel Cabrera, Franklin Gutierrez, Jeremy Sowers, Ben Francisco,  and for a lesser extent Ryan Garko going to improve if they don't play every day whether they are struggling or not?  Seems like in Boston, Terry Francona keeps playing Jacoby Ellsbury most every day and Clay Buchholz still is in Boston even though he struggles.   However, I feel that if you keep benching young players for veteran players who are just role players, how are the kids going to get better?  If the Indians want to do something to shake up the team, then send someone like Jhonny Peralta down to Buffalo and bring up someone else that should get a chance...or release Andy Marte since he doesn't play anyhow.

Well, I think that maybe the Indians should be a little more patient with their key prospects and the younger players.

How do you figure that? For living in one of the biggest media centers on the East Coast, there are people that get on all the Boston teams when they slip a little bit. Remember, the last time the Indians won was in my great-grandmother's lifetime (1948).

If you are saying that buying sports gear of the Indians means I don't know anything else about the Indians...you are sadly mistaken. Over the past few years, I have seen the Akron Aeros play...mostly in Akron when I go out to Ohio, as well as going to Pawtucket when Buffalo is there. Also, I do watch the Indians on the Extra Innings package and also listen to the games on radio when I'm going to work at night.
For example, last year on August 1st, I went to Pawtucket to watch Buffalo, and the pitching matchup was the best I saw all season. But the player that caught my eye was the Buffalo shortstop named Astrubel Cabrera. Not more that a week later he was up with the Indians. By the way, I will be going to Portland to see the Akron team.

I was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from Ashland High School. I'm a big Cleveland sports fan as well as the Columbus Blue Jackets. I keep up with the Indians and the Cavs on WTAM. I also love reading online newspapers as that is the main way I keep up with what is going on in Ohio. I am a conservative that relies on websites like the Ashbrook Center and talk radio to get most of my news of the day. I live in Derry, NH; and work at a postal facility in Nashua, NH. I go to Manchester, Providence, Pawtucket, and Portland, Maine; to watch minor league baseball and hockey to relax and to see the future major league baseball or hockey players.
