With Christmas getitng closer...we  need to address the "ring of death" with current xbox owners. I bought my 360 for over $400.00. I would love to buy any new games, however my ring of death xbox will not play anything. Microsoft is not giving any sense of helping any of us out. At over 500,000 owners of xboxes with "the ring of death"....who are they maketing to? I would love to propose a website to do just that. Replace our worthless xboxes. And see how many owners would oppose Microsoft.  If you are going to be a huge influence in the world, as you are trying to be ,per say, like a car manufacturer, with a warranty, backing your product ,than at least back your product up! I'm pissed. What about you?

It's not surprising that an American company is failing to produce something worth buying.

Szabo - Microsoft XBOX extended the warranty on this particular issue. All you have to do is call XBOX. You have the option of receiving an e-mail with a shipping label and you provide the shipping box or you can wait a week and they'll ship you the box with the label. Takes about a month turnaround to complete the fix and get it back into your posession. It's free as well. I know this because I had to do this with mine. I'd do it now before the warranty expires and you are completely screwed.

But yeah - I'm pissed that it happened - they rushed the release and knew this problem existed and it only bit them in the ass because it's costing them millions to repair these.

B-Hive,
Thanks for the info! That's great news. I wonder if the warranty is only on the first release systems though. Mine's a 2006...
