FOX8,

I am very disappointed in you!! Why did we not hear about what kind of dog attacked the little boy? I am quite sure it was not a pitbull because if it was you betcha it would have been the FIRST thing you would have said...."Another Pitbull Attack".

So someone please tell me......

This is to the lady who responded to another post a few days ago that there is no other vicious dogs out there but Pitbulls, I beg to differ!!!!

The dog was probably a poodle and the children were probably left alone with the dog..

I say we ban all poodles!!!!!!!!!

lol...chemist. I would not doubt that at all. I get so pissed off everyone is so eager to jump on the pitbulls and the news makes it a very big deal, but now this story, they do not even mention the breed...very very odd!!!

It is a known fact in dog circles that smaller dogs (ankle biters) like terriers, are more prone to bite people. Larger dogs make the news more often because when they bite someone, it is usually a far greater injury. ANY dog will bite, you need to socialize them and NEVER leave them alone with children. After all, you wouldn't let your children play with a gun just because "nobody has ever been shot by this gun", would you? Also, NEVER tie a dog outside and leave them there--it will make any dog crazy! --Rottweiler owner/breeder for 30+ years.

Arial, I totally agree with you, and can go one step further, never, never, never leave a child alone with ANY pet.

Any animal that has teeth has the potential to bite, including humans. A childern seem to have the tendancy to want to hug soft, furry things and means no harm, but they do not know their own strength, an innocent hug a little too tight can end up in a nip or bite.

For those that do not know, when they test for rabies, they euthanize the animal and send it to State Labs for testing of the brain.

yes I was for the arts lol. Pitbulls maul when they attack unlike a poodle that will not break the skin. I have 3 kids so I rather ban a certain breed and keep my kids safe. These animal lovers that thinks an animal is more important then a human are just ignorant.

gamer, I really don't appreciate being called ignorant!!! I feel my family pet pitbull is as much part of my family as my children are. I am not going to go into the pitbull controversy all over again as I have many times in here, but again it is all on how you raise them. And yes poodles break skin as ALL dogs do. How do you even know what kind of dog did this to this little boy since the news CAN'T even tell us what breed bit this kid in the eye (which he very well could have lost). We know it's not a pitbull because you very well know it would have been the first thing they said.

And one more thing...I could go and call people who ride motorcycles without helmets are IGNORANT!!! But I won't so lets quit the name calling since we are not in elementary anymore!

If you think a dog is more important then a human then you are ignorant. I also have to say riding a motorcycle without a helmet is ignorant(no I don't wear one)The problem is for every responsible pitbull owner there are a 100 that are not and I want my kids protected first not your dog.
