What if we were like Europe, it's a must in Europe to learn different languages just about every Country there speaks a different language.

The people I work for fled Germany because of hitler, I heard their story of how they had to go from house to house, to hide. making their way to America.

They hire a lot of Serbians, and I hear about their Country, I wouldn't even want to visit there.

These immigrants speak English because they wanted to come to America, not one of them learned spanish (I asked them) they said why would we learn spanish, America speaks English.

If Obama gets elected to Office this is what to expect, first off he will ban all clothes and you will have to dress the Muslim way.

Then he will appoint his Vice President, Notice he is being sworn in to Office

Next he will be appointing security advisors

He will change the secret service

Then everybody in the USA must own a M-16

I haven't been on here in awhile, my life gets busy in the spring and summer, I started planting my garden, had to cover it the other day because of frost.

Cutting the grass, trimming trees, planting bushes and flowers, this is alot of work I enjoy doing, being outside watching all the birds, frogs, and the fish in my pond.

soon I'll be swimming, staying out late to gaze at the stars, watch lightening storms, listen to all the critters making noise, what a great time spring and summer are, when I lived in the city, I use to take country rides, now I'm living it, life is great.

yet I see on here everyone is still complaining about everything that has been going on in the world, does anyone on here have a life besides fox8, or are you all consumed by it and life is bitter for you.

fox8 blog is a great fill in for winter and maybe rainy days, but you need to pull away for awhile and enjoy life.

I would like to wish everyone a great and safe summer.

Hi everyone

I'm just trying to understand women a little better and it seems the older I get the less I understand their thinking.

Our General Manger was thinking about going to a 4 day work week, 10 hour days, the operators that run the machines which are women don't want to do this and one said her back hurts sitting all day, another said she has to pick up her 16 year old son from school, one of these women misses at least one day a week anyways so what would be the problem here, can any of you ladies out there tell me why someone wouldn't want 3 days off.

Someone came up to me and said maybe they have a family and they have to cook,  I'm thinking!!!! SO WHATS YOUR POINT YOU WOULD EAT AN HOUR LATER.

The plant manger was only thinking that he would try and save everyone a little money on gas and save the company alot of money also.

Most of the women are not married that don't want this, do you think they are bitter old haggs.

One lady told me it's not her falt I live so far away and I wanted to say It's not my falt you have to work because no man wants you....

20 million people.  The peaceful majority were irrelevant.  China's huge
 
Population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managaed to kill a

Most females lie "more cleverly and successfully than men" about everything from infidelity and facelifts to barhopping and shopping binges, according to a new book.

"Women lie as a survival technique, but also to get what they want," said Susan Shapiro Barash, author of "Little White Lies, Deep Dark Secrets: The Truth About Why Women Lie," published by St. Martin's Press this week.

Barish said a Rockland County woman stripped of her secrets on Fox TV's reality show "Moment of Truth" last week proves her research true.

Lauren Cleri, 26, admitted on air she had cheated on her NYPD cop husband and preferred an ex-boyfriend. But she failed a polygraph, and lost $200,000, by answering "yes" when asked if she believed she was a good person.

"It supports my thesis that women are talented at lying - but perhaps not enough to pass a lie-detector test," Barash said.

Barash interviewed 500 women nationwide who answered her Craigslist ads seeking females to confide what they fib about. Among her findings:

* 75 percent lie about how much money they spend. For instance, they sneak purchases inside their homes after shopping or hide the price tags.

* 50 percent harbor "mixed feelings about mothering." One told Barash, "I look at these children and I crave sleep and free time. They wear me out and make me jealous of working women who have no children, no husbands."

* More than 60 percent cheated on their husbands. A 32-year-old mother conducted her trysts while telling her trusting husband she was working late. Even in asking for a divorce, she withheld the truth: "I didn't say I had fallen for another man. He was better off with my lies."

Many women use the "betterment lie," as Barash calls it, as a means to an end.

A 30-year-old model romanced a middle-aged married man for the money. After snagging him, she faked her affections: "I say 'I love you,' and don't mean it."

Some lie to cover up childhood incest or domestic abuse, or taboo behavior like drinking, gambling or Internet-porn addiction.

More than 80 percent believe in "beneficial lying." A New Jersey mom doesn't tell her well-behaved daughter about her own wild teen years of marijuana and partying.

Urban women favor the "competitive lie," Barash said. "You lie about money and cosmetic surgery. Your out-of-work husband is a 'consultant.' You embellish your kids' accomplishments, or downplay their SAT tutoring."

In the "lying to yourself" category, the book mentions Hillary Rodham Clinton, who as first lady went on TV to blast the Monica Lewinsky scandal as a political attack against her husband. She later acknowledged Bill's cheating.

Others lie because "there's too much to lose," Barash said. Rudy Giuliani's wife, Judith, guarded a secret that she was married twice, and not once, previously. The truth, which Rudy apparently knew, hit the front pages when he ran for president.
