European Union (2006):
-8 million illegal aliens
-1 million apprehended
-500,000 caught inside EU
-200,000 deported mostly from Spain, Italy, Greece

Philippines:
-124,000 undocumented Filipinos in EU
-40,000 in France, 20,000 in Italy

USA:
-11 million illegal aliens, mostly from Mexico
-273,000 deported in 2007
-Workplace raids permitted

Hundreds of illegal immigrants from Russia are sneaking into the United States in style, on sailboats launched from the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Panama.

U.S. officials have identified a well-organized human smuggling ring run out of Moscow that charges $15,000 a head, including airfare from Russia.

Given the connection between al Qaeda and Chechnyan rebels, U.S. authorities fear the route could provide another way for terrorists to get into the country.

Officials have indicted the ring leader in Moscow, nicknamed "Pasha," but say he remains in business, beyond the reach of American law.

 

Illegal aliens seem to be a problem all over the world, But I don't see any Illegal Americans in other countries.

Illegals don't kill People, GUNS and knives and cars and rope and etc. kill people! We must be glad to have all of these hard workers in our country. Both of the Candidates or should I go ahead and say President Obama said they would shove AMNESTY down our throats. Looks to me like we had better do as he says or Demands. Learn Spanish, keep you're opinions to yourself and all Whites must Pay for their Sins. What kind of CHANGE do you people want?

wrong stupid people behind guns kill people, a lot of the time they are illegals. Fact is a gun can't do anything without someone pulling the trigger. Then you have to have a bullet in it. These things don't happen by them selves people have to do them. Fact is just last month in Ca an illegal killed half a family. Father and his two sons.

Amnesty is B.S. They need come here legally or be deported. We also need to stop these cities that help the illegals. We also need to hammer those who employ illegals. Maybe even put them out of business.

We need to keep more of our pay checks. Pay less taxes not more. Drill here and now, pay less for gas. Then find alternative fuel sources. Get out of the enemies power.

I don't owe nothing and neither does our government for what happened in the past to black Americans. I had no part in it, just as neither did most of them living today. There is a lot of sad things that happened in America's past.

I'm all for amnesty. To deport every undocumented worker in the US would be suicide. The economy would collapse without the necessary jobs being preformed by these people. That's why we need to find the undocumented workers and make them official, tax paying US citizens. Maybe charge a small penalty fee.

All of this would cost much less than than deportation. Deportation would take too much time and money. Plus all the damage to families torn apart. Just like the raid back in May at an Iowa factory. About one third of the town is gone and a factory has no employees.

superbrowns....i used to watch illegals in california come over here and in six months they had thriving businesses....an immigration lawyer....and were paying mucho taxes...those are the people this country needs...not hillbillys

I will agree that there are some that come over here to do some good, and there are lazy people that are Americans, however It doesn't make it right for them to come here Illegal, surely you must agree with that, or your just commenting to make an arguement.

There is no such thing as a free lunch, somewere down the line you will end up paying for it. (in blood)

funny how our economy would collapse when our unemployment rate is at 5.9%........meaning that 5.9%of the AMERICAN workforce is not working. Those SAME people could & would take these jobs that the ILLEGALS leave when they are kicked back to Mexico.

and as far as Utah is concerned & the families "ripped apart", this is what happens when one breaks the law..........or many break the law. things get torn apart. the best way to get them all back together is GO BACK TO MEXICO!

my beef isnt with the immigrants trying to earn a buck....my beef is with the employers hiring them for less than minimum wage....if you want to stop illegal immigration its easy...first you get a competent administration in washington...then you get an agency that can process employee searches for employers in 48 hours....without excuses...and then you sentence anyone hiring an illegal immigrant to 3 years ...no probation...prison time in a texas prison....illegal immigration will end tomorrow

I'm not arguing or saying it's 100% right. But I'm also not saying people should be treated like murderers or rapists for just crossing the border. I'm thinking in the interests of our government and finances and how deporting supposedly millions of people would impact the economy as well as increase the national debt. You cannot just punish people(maybe I can, being the punnisher!) but they have to go to court first. That takes time and the people putting in their time aren't working for free. Plus let's not forget about all the detective work necessary to even find the people first.

Most of the people who have come here haven't broken any laws. Just the minor offense of being an undocumented citizen/worker. The obvious, cost-effective solution here is to give amnesty to the people who are currently here, working hard. Let them start paying taxes. An appropriate punishment would be in the form of a fine, maybe in the hundreds of dollars range.

Now if the person has committed a crime, then and only then they should be deported. Now we're talking serious crimes, not small offenses. Afterall, we are all human.

And I need to take the time to ask dprin399, what's your problem? Why do you seem to have it out for me? I've perused some older items here and see you seem to have this pattern of ripping on the new bloggers. You act like the Alpha Dog who rules the forum.

They always say to watch out for people on the internet. I now know who to watch out for.

In the far south of TX it is hard to tell who belongs and who doesn't. I know this cause i go there from time to time.

They all have broken the law. They have come here illegally. They don't pay taxes. We pay for a lot of their housing, food, and medical bills.

Some thing should be done to those who hire them.

I'm a Browns fan born and raised on the westside of Cleveland moved to Deerfield about 16 years ago. I used to work as an usher at the old stadium watching the Browns games and getting paid for it what a great job.PROUD REPUBLICAN, AND I WILL NOT STAND FOR ANYONE BASHING ANY AMERICAN PRESIDENT.
