Now he is free to be selected as a VP by O or H.

(After the resume enhancement from the other day.)

BTW – I noticed the number of Liberals the last day or so who said being married and buying a prostitute wasn’t a bad thing. I wonder what their wives would think about a comment like that made in their presence. Girlscout, would you stand for your husband going to a prostitute? Would you consider that a big deal?

Maybe I am just not aware that most Liberal Democrats are cheating on their wives with prostitutes.

What would prompt you to ask me that question? Did I ever say that I condoned that kind of behaviour? The only comment I made on this issue was that men will follow their urges. Do I think it's morally right? Of course not.

Hey hybrid dribble, who the hell do you think you are calling girlscout out on this one? We already know your homophobic agenda. Leave the lady alone you tool.

And really, buying a prostitute is not that big of a deal. Is it really the end of the world? It's a big event in his personal life, NOT the national media.

At least the Democrats have affairs with and use FEMALE prostitutes. Do I need to remind you of your butt buddies Larry Craig, Ted Haggart and Rush Limbag?

Spitzer has the decency to resign from office.

Senator David Vitter (Republicans from Louisiana) was found to have been soliciting prostitutes for some time and has refused to resign- his case is even worse because he campaigned as a Christian "family values" politician.

Senator Larry Craig of Idaho was caught trying to have sex in a public restroom in an airport and plead guilty to charges of disturbing the peace and public indecency. He has not resigned as he promised he would and is now trying to undue the charges he plead guilty to.

Democrats are not self righteous religiuos nuts- they don't campaign on silly stuff like anti-sex or anti-pornography nonsense. Also Spitzer actually resigned- unlike Vitter and Craig.

Buying a prostitute is a REALLY big deal when it cost the tax payers $80,000.00!

Girlscout - "What would prompt you to ask me that question? Did I ever say that I condoned that kind of behaviour? "

My humblest apologies if I offended you by including you into my dialog. I asked you the question because you are a married woman of integrity and a Democrat. I have been hearing from many Spitzer supporters that his behavior was “no big deal” (See PolarRegion's response).

I was only asking you, as a married woman who identifies herself as a Liberal, if it would be a big deal to you if your husband participated in prostitution. I expected you to respond that it WOULD be a bid deal to you.

I hope the lesson isn’t that I shouldn’t cross the aisle to confirm a position. I can ignore PolarRegions comments, but I didn’t seek to insult you. Come on Girlscout, just look at you, you’re a real doll!

KLK - "Buying a prostitute is a REALLY big deal when it cost the tax payers $80,000.00!"

WHAT?! You mean it isn't just about sex?

Alright, hybrid. Now that you have explained your reason for asking that question, I will answer. No, it would NOT be alright with me if my husband went to a prostitute! Do you know of ANY wife that would be accepting of this?!
Liberal OR Conservative?
Now I'll ask YOU a question. Why did Spitzer have to resign his office, when David Vitter (R), does not have to resign HIS?
(BTW - Thanks for the "back-up" polarbear! Good to know that chivalry is alive and well!)

Girlscout – “Now I'll ask YOU a question. Why did Spitzer have to resign his office, when David Vitter (R), does not have to resign HIS?”

How should I know? I still can’t figure out why Spitzer resigned. With Democrats in office, this is regarded as a resume enhancement, not a career breaker.

Normally, Republicans caught in some public moral failure have to fall on the sword. Maybe Vitter has an offer from the DNC for future employment?

I don't see buying the prostitute as a NATIONAL news event. What goes on in HIS sex life is private. Afterall isn't the prostitute just an entrepreneur? Republicans like them. :)

What SHOULD be the national news event is the fact he was using government money for other purposes. But then again there is enough of that going on to give the news a huge story every day for the next few years. So, they'll just drum up false outrage over the prostitution and throw this guy to the wolves.
