Mayor Jackson actually has the guts to think he is doing a good job. Cleveland is plagued with crime, our school system sucks and there are no job here. What else can possibly go wrong. People are taking losses on their homes just because they can't take it anymore. You can't afford to live in Cleveland anymore. I cannot believe what the City Of Cleveland has been reduced to, it's really sad I don't want to live here anymore either!!! To be honest I am only here because I have to be right now as soon as I get the chance I am gonna high tail it out of here and not look back.

Skorpro - I have wanted to leave this area for 20 years. But we have family still living here, and of course there is my work. I have been down in areas like Carthage NC and they have a lot of growth and jobs everywhere. Manufacturing has moved from the North to the South, so there are many positions down near Carthage and other places. Also learned there a lot of Jobs near Atlanta GA.

Yeah it was a mess before he became mayor "don't you remember". And it is better now, than before, Our schools will have the largest graduation rate since 1994, also the attendance rate is higher, All adult must stop blaming little immature children and take action, What have you done for your community?

You are immature if you can't take your blinders off!!!! Hello the crime rate has jumped up. The schools are in shambles 6TH graders can't read, if you call that improvement you are the crazy one. WE NEED IMPROVEMENT , WE HAVEN'T SEEN ANY IMPROVEMENT YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you have blinders on. I work as a Cleveland School Teacher, and our schools are slowly improving. This is something that does not happen over night. The job problem is more of a national problem as well as housing. People need to quit blaming the politcians and go out and take action in a positive direction.

Yeah most of the teachers in Cleveland do not care you may be the exception. I am not going to get in a pissing contest. Politicans get blamed because they promise the world , then come in and screw up the City more.The jobs,,hhmmmm all these companies are yanking their buisnesses out of Cleveland because of high taxes, now that doesn't seem very helpful. Cleveland is a major city there is no reason for it not to be thriving. And I am taking action , my husband makes really good money and I am in school full-time to better myself and be able to move out of Cleveland. I live right at edge of Cleveland in Old Brooklyn and I witnessed a drug deal going down on the corner of my street, and if I wasn't busy backing into my driveway I would have been able to catch the thugs plate number I would have turned them in.I will not subject my child to this,it's not all the politicans fault,you can blame ignorant parents too!!!

The comment about the teacher do not care is totally false. You may get a handful that don't, but I work with a very dedicated group of teachers who go above and beyond the call of duty quite often. We are put into the position of being parents, socialworkers' and whatever else gets thrown at us. It gets to you at times, but that does not mean we do not care about what we do. May be you ought to volunteer in a school for a month or so to see what we deal with, and then say that.

Thats what I said you have all these ignorant parents who can give a crap less and uses the school as a babysitter, then they send their ghetto thug life children to school. I know you teachers put up with alot but when children are coming how not knowing math and reading in 5th and 6th grade , who is passing these children up to the next grade? Oh I know how these children act, but why is it tolerated. Kick out the trouble makers so our children who want to learn can. Trouble makers are part of the reason my child is getting a 2nd rate education!!!!If you are trying to make a difference great, I can appreciate it. And thanks, we need more like you !!!!
