The Wrestler...Review

What can I say about Mickey Rourke? I remember him from the 80’s in the “Pope of Greenwich Village” and from that time on he has cast himself as a powerhouse action Dramas. Throw in cute New Yorker Marisa Tomei and you have a great dramatic works here. Now for those expecting something different, please don’t. Mickey has always played for the most part, tough and gritty dramatic characters in social situations and the Wrestler is typical Mickey Rourke. Where I was a bit surprised was in Marisa Tomei going topless in the film. From an author’s point of view and looking at the production, she didn’t have to perform topless shots. This film could have insinuated this just the same, and this is where I have major issues with the degenerate Tinselturds these days in production. It seems that they must take a talented woman such as this and get her naked on screen to try and sell flicks. In this case, the story would have held up without the topless shots as a very good drama.
This story is about an aging professional wrestler who faces a career ending heart attack and has to come to terms with what he has done in his life and how it affected people around him. Living alone in a trailer that he sometimes is locked out of for lack of rent funds, he shows us the life of a fading star, facing a desperate end of loneliness, and a guilty conscious, and yet with all of this negativity, you still feel for the character and this is where Mickey Rourke shines as an actor. With many other acting talents the character would have remained a pathetic unbelievable character whose existence was negligible, but Mickey’s performance in the life of this character shows us so much that you are drawn to watch what happens with him from scenario to the very next. This is not an action movie and it really is not about professional wrestling per say, but rather about the life of this fading star, a daughter who hates him and his wanting to better know the stripper played by Marisa Tomei, who shuns him throughout most of the movie.
In a sense, people are picking Frank Langella for Frost Nixon in the Drama category, but I have to say that Mickey Rourke’s performance I found a better pick, so when it comes Oscar time, my pick goes to Mickey Rourke, a better talent and a deeper character in a very human story at that.
For my own rating on this, while I rate Rourke at top of his class in his abilities, my rating must go for the overall rating of the film. First off, this film will be remember mainly by many as another Marisa Tomei nudy flick, since she has already performed topless scenes in another previous film. The story is the norm, and Rourke's acting coupled with Marisa Tomei doing nude scenes is mainly what carries it, which is a crying shame, because aside from nudity, Marisa's under developed character in the story denies her a much grander scheme. She is a top notch talent and I see no reason why she had to do nude scenes to have achieved the character much better. As hard as it is to speak a different tune, I need to call it as I see it. As for the ending, I feel it could have been better defined. It left open, did he or didn't he croak? In a sense in this case, the audience is greatly short changed, because like the ending, they are left hanging and there is no completion here or closing of the story which I blame squarely on the Director more than anyone else. My overall rating is a 3.5 out of 5 mainly because of being able to see Mickey Rourke performing. I still feel he can nab the academy award even with a fair at best movie, and the real shame goes to the wasted talents of Marisa Tomei for being forced to nudity when she is such a much greater talent as a performing artist. Over time except for her nudity as mentioned, this film will mainly be forgotten, when it could have been remembered.

They had a chance to revive a nice amusement park for you and your family to have a day of fun whenever you wanted and these blind city council idiots in Long Beach California gave you the middle finger, spit on you and through their actions said drop dead. "We are shoving another piece of crap mall down your throats!" That's right. With everyone not shopping anymore they committed suicide. Instead of letting you enjoy an old fashioned "Midway" amusement park like your ancestors did, this city council through their redevelopment actions as god damned liberals, spat on you and said "go drop dead!" Now, if you don't believe me, just watch the next three videos and I am sure you will see exactly what I am talking about, and oh, to the liberal scum at the long beach city council, back at ya from every citizen in SoCal especially the native ones like myself, who recognize what you denied us.
Now if you want to see what the schmucks in the long beach city council want you to do, they want you to ride bikes instead of a coaster or other thrill ride on the midway...What a bunch of losers!

Gran Torino Review

A different type of Eastwood. This film is not Dirty Harry, though it is a gritty Eastwood the way some will love him. But many will not as he plays an over stereotyped white racist character who seems to usual racial epitaphs on every non white and even calls younger kids names as well. This is the biggest issue I had with the film. Also the cursing was a bit out of character for Eastwood, however of the films I watched this week, I did end up liking this one a lot and cannot help but wonder if this will be Eastwood's farewell film to his tough guy characters he has played? I suppose only time will tell.
The film plot is actually very straight forward and the outcome is easily predictable. Of course the results arising from the outcome are what keeps you guessing. Eastwood plays a single old man living alone sometime after his wife passed on. Internally angered by the lonely years and memories from a war he served his country in, he has become somewhat of an isolationist at least where his Asian neighbors are concerned, however when a neighboring kid fails to steal his car, that's when things begin to happen. While Eastwood does carry a fatal disease that is taking him down, his character of Walt Kowalski, a white Christian American of Polish descent. As mentioned an Asian kid who is actually a Hmong tries to steal his car which the flick is actually named after. A mid 70's Ford Gran Torino. He catches the kid named Tao (played by Bee Vang in his first acting role) and lets him go at gun point, along with his cousin and their Asian gang bangers and this is where the real problems surface. It is an unusual film because it pits a non Asian against an Asian gang and this in and of itself is unusual. The film also takes a look at Asian violence by gang members which usually is pretty low profile as most gangs in the news are usuaully Latino or Black, but rarely do you hear anything about Asian gangs.
The story has a greatly human side to it while maintaining a good level of action. It's start is a grabber and though as mentioned that Eastwood seemed a bit out of character if only a bit, this film builds to a big ending with a twist. If you can go see a film, bear in mind that I believe this got an "R" rating, but well worth the action, as an Eastwood action film and that brings me to my very next point. Eastwood at his best is Dirty Harry and riding the saddles. It is time for him to finish up his remianing career days doing this, providing us again with tough gritty characters. The reason is that this is Eastwood and not only does he do well putting the bad guys away, but we all like to see that too.
My rating out of 5 is a 4.8 with .2 withheld because of the profanity Eastwood's character had to use. This film is definitely worth seeing, a goo rocket ride on the hood of his Gran Torino if nothing else.

Ya gotta hand it to the Tinselturds to make Vietnam into a comedy. I know there was Robin Williams and some other flicks that did this like Good Morning Vietnam which was more a drama than a comedy film. With that said, I do have to admit I was laughing hard at some scenes. I usually try to benchmark a film by seeing where it drags and this film did not drag at all. That does not mean it moved consistently either, just that I couldn't pin a spot where the plot lagged.
Essentially this film is about the BIZ and some pretty large Tinselturd egos as well. This crew is trying to film another Vietnam war film presumably in Vietnam. The Director finds a crew he has lost control of from actors demanding rewrites with their own performance issues to a Pyrotechnician whose work is off queue so-to-speak, and just when things could not get worse, the angry producer played by a barely identifiable Tom Cruise (whose performance as always was quite extraordinaire) unleashes a potty mouth as some Tinselturds I have come to know in this industry in the past can do, and believe me. If you think that the Executive Producer played by Cruise is a fiction, I can guarantee you that with a production tanking under an infective Director, this does happen folks, at least for those of you who have not dealt on that end of the BIZ.
With pressure from the media and a report on the war heroes careers as acting talents, Stiller's character as Tugg Speedman, a soldier in Nam, is about to be his last. A supporting role by Nick Nolte as a so-called Veteran of the real war in Nam informs the British Director to drop the actors in the middle of the jungle and tell them they will have cameras to film them off-script in real action. The plan is for the pyrotechnics to have been established already as well as fake Viet Kong to chase the actors. But not everything goes according to plan (as if it ever was) and the fake soldiers soon find themselves being chased by what they believe are Viet Kong soldiers. I won't spoil the ending, but will say the movie does start off somewhat bad. The start could have been different without the hip hop music and cuts which made it confusing for many viewers. The acting is straight forward for a flick and the nearest thing I can compare this to is an old 70's film "Harold and Maude"... Now why that deranged love story?
Well in Harold and Maude, the comedy started out with a hanging. I remember many folks getting up in the theater and walking out, before the plot turned hilarious, and in this respect, Tropic Thunder does something similar. Instead of a hook they added a lot of crappy things at the start. Remember the term keep it simple or hook your audience. However, with that being said, the movie really begins when we see the producer tell the key grip to go over and punch the director in the head, which happens. And yes, stuff like that does happen in tinselturd town as well, though it is much more rare than you might think it as being. We do have labor laws and attorneys you know.
Are there any corny areas of the flick? Yes there are some and there are other things that drag on as well. The movie does poke fun at black Americans as well as Americans who are gay mails, and these folks might not take it in stride for the fun it was intended to be. Is it a good plot? Not bad, not bad at all, and the story does close up at the end so every thing as they say is a "wrap." This then brings me to my overall impression, is it worth ten bucks for the laughs I got out of it, as you may or may not know, that people can just as easily get a Bluray DVD on a wide screen and in high def Dolby watch this flick. My suggestion would be to get the DVD when it comes out, however if you are into the kookiness of Ben Stiller, then go for it. Be aware though there is a lot of cursing and graphic violence and that is not suitable for kids to watch. Now all you will need is a Paramount studios tie-in drink "Booty Sweat" and you are good to go...

Frost Nixon Movie Review
Dec 24, 2008 | 11:01 PM PST
Category:
Entertainment
Frost Nixon is a powerful and somewhat riveting liberalized view of the Nixon interviews originally performed by David Frost in the mid 1970's. He is a journalist whose work is best known of the interviews he performed with major political figures and Richard Milhouse Nixon is one of those.
Directed by someone I have met in the past Ron Howard the work for what it is , is quite good and the actors performances were indeed spot-on. Brian Grazer has to be seriously commended for this project as a great deal of work went into his production, and he has had a good string of hits over the years.
Rather than an action drama flick, I would say this is more along the lines of a powerful docudrama with entertaining value elements following. For those wanting to see a straight forward movie, you may be disappointed, for others who like the news or are addicted to it, they should find this interesting.
The plot essentially centers around a series of reports and its affects on Richard Nixon in a string of interviews, post Watergate.
When the word impeachment comes, we see Nixon leaving the Whitehouse and a scheme forms for an interview between Frost and his friend John Birt a news producer. They take a flight to California and on the plane and Frost meets an attractive woman named Caroline Cushing (played by a stunning and effective Rebecca Hall). At Frost's invitation she accompanies him to visit Nixon and they receive an estate tour. Bob Zelnick and James Reston Jr., two friends of Frost's help finance the money he had to pay to get the interview with Nixon. Bear in mind we are talking about 1977 now.
Frost tries to sell his initial 4 interviews to the networks and was turned down. With low funding, he managed to scrape together funding for additional interviews and they proceed. Later on in the flick as Frost's involvment with Caroline has grown he receives a surprise call from Nixon who is portrayed as being drunk and blurting out how the upper class sold him down the drain. Frost eventually gets around to asking Nixon if he took part in the coverup, but this is thwarted at the last moment by Nixon's friend and Cjief of Staff Brennen played by actor Kevin Bacon in another fine performance in his career.
At the end, Frost and Caroline end up visiting Nixon one last time over "Cheeseburgers" which you will completely understand if you have seen this flick.
While it is a riveting drama, I found it dragging many times throughout, really like beating a long dead political horse. I suppose when it comes to Hollywood production entertainment, why they cannot get on with things, that it has come down to a film like this, which by the way carries Liberalized viewpoints.
If you are a history buff and you are a bit on the political left you probably will have seen this. I am sure that many conservatives will quickly realize this for what it is, another Hollywood hit piece only this time beating a dead horse that cannot be beaten anymore.
Still for the production work and acting, it does present a quality and here is where my dillema lies. Damned if I do rate it great and damned if I don't, plus I may well lose an old friend of sorts over this. So I will say that while I believe this to be a 3.8 out of 5. If you like historical political news documentaries you may well enjoy this. If you like Dirty Harry, Stallone, Love stories or other historical dramas such as for instance "John Adams" you might not enjoy this as much.

You folks have totally lost it. Let's dissect today's segment. The normally charming Lisa Breck dancing around stripper poles. Acting raunchy. Lisa, you are a family woman, a wife, a mom, why act like this in public? The one across from you, that's another story, I expect this from that one, but you of all people Lisa Breck???
Suzanne Marques at an X-rated puppet show. Why this place and selection during the Christmas season in America? We don't need to see that filth. I would have much more preferred Suzanne perhaps at a traditional Christmas muppet show instead. What about Christmas and holiday shows elsewhere? Is there a Holiday on ice show maybe, or a Hollywood Grinch stole Christmas show, perhaps a show with Frosty the Snowman?
Jillian had to revert back to herself in the old days when she wasn't a loving mother and wife to a husband and family. Instead she had to dress like a near street hooker, then hold a cup up to block the way she dressed, because she is so embarrased by it. If that is the case why dress like that in the first place? Why couldn't she dress for a main morning show like normal other women dress instead of cheap and hookerish looking, especially when the weather outside is chilly during this winter month? Then she gets a doll that is made up to look like Steve Edwards and grabs the dolls private parts, while spouting sexual connotations. Where are the FCC censors for this? Why is the federal government going to shut down political talk radio, websites and bloggers, but allow the level of degenerative filth and scum that made up this mornings GDLA show, and please Jillian, stop with the "I'm a Canadian," while occupying a seat when many American born women are starving from lack of work.
Speaking of work, Lisa Breck, you were joking this morning on your stripper pole. Did you ever consider how many women are degraded into doing this for a living because all of our industries are a part of global "FREE TRADE" by our suicidal government, where free trade means trading away any jobs we have to survive on? Maybe they dance on poles because there are no legitimate paying jobs, because the American family you can still afford to be a part of is disintegrating from the pressures working against them in this country. Be lucky you have a family and someone to love you, because there are a greater many folks in the dancing pole industries who cannot afford a family anymore. They are there not because they like dancing poles, but because there are so few jobs anymore that this is one of the last steps before becoming a sex prostitute, thanks to our stupid government.
Instead of promoting this filth at Christmas time, GDLA producers, maybe GDLA should start promoting the different real holiday shows and the many great folks out there working hard to dance in holiday costumes rather then strippers, poles, lap dances and dolls where the co-host is grabbing the dolls private parts while talking about sex.
My oh my how far the FOX network has fallen in its morning show!

The Orphan Works Act was rushed through the senate without a roll call vote in what they call in Washington as Hotlining...more is posted at that link above.
This act is a grave threat to arts of any kind for without any copyright protections for the original artist, there is no longer a need to publish the works publicly whether for profit or not. This is because the original creator of the work can be stripped of their copyright protections while big companies like Disney for instance will have the power not only to nab many current works, but the monies to protect their own work. In essence writers, painters, illustrators, journalists and anyone else wanting to protect their own personal art work through copyright will lose those protections.

One of the best little known secerts in Pizza has been around for many decades since 1963. The place is called
Ravenelli's and has been around for a very long time. Now while there are many places and many differening styles of pizzas out there including dread I dare say, frozen pizza and ones that you make yourself from scratch "Pizza Kits," there is none that stand out like Ravanelli's unique Pizzas. This is because it is in both the fresh home made dough as well as their sauce. They don't use a typical pasta or tomato based sauce, but rather have their own home made taste. It resembles a type cros of both typical pasta sauce mixed with a BBQ tinge even though it is not entirely a BBQ sauce. That mixed with fresh ingridients makes for a great pizza worth trying at least one time. The Pizzas are usually made in about twenty minutes and the small place maintains a very loyal following.
The small dining area has just a few tables and it isn't a tie and jacket dinner either, but more a casual experience. They also serve a home made spaghetti and meatballs, Lasagna, Ravanoli dinners as well as a nice antipasto salad and other salad types. Their sandwiches are also very good too. They include a very tasty and large Meatball sandwich, and other sandwiches like their Pastrami, Chicken Parmasan, Sausage, Submarine, Spicy Sub, Salami and other sandwiches too. Their deserts include authentic Italian Cookies, Tiramisu, Cheesecake, Cannoli and a very tasty Chocolate moussecake.
To find this place, go to Reseda Boulevard in the central valley and take that about hal a mile North of Roscoe Boulevard. Ravanelli's is on the right at 8456 Reseda Boulevard in Northridge California. They are just before the corner of Chase street and Reseda. If you want, there is more parking in the back.
Personally I have frequented this place for years and they all know me by my big black cowboy hat when I visit or talk of Nascar as I have been a major Jimmy Johnson fan and a DEJ fan for a very long time. You can call Ravanelli's at (818) 885-1710 and they do catering as well, so if you are having a party and want an Italian theme they would be unique and excellent. Anyhow, thanks for reading through this and good luck, hope to see you enjoying their pizzas and stuff.

The Power To Write The Best!
You don't! Here is how it gets done cheaply and easily. First you need to get a filmscript written. But do not worry, you do not have to purchase film script software anymore or mess around writing your work with a Word template like the good old days of Scriptor. Instead go to
Celtx and nab a free copy of film and tv production writing software. It is totally free, no catches and works across the major platforms and in fact it works collaboratively in real time. It even does storyboarding, how's that for free and that is just the start of many new features.
Now you will need a digital camera and that will require a bit of investment. Why digital? Why not! The main industry has shifted in that direction and you can too. Make sure to get a high quality tripod for it. For a digital camera there are many out there, but my favs have always been Cannon especially some of their cameras with FX. The field is wide open and a good one will set you back on sale about 500 bucks give or take. Make sure you get one that has the ability to capture higher frame rates for motion. There is nothing worse then blur in a film especially with High Definition Widescreen Plasmas. These days motion can be caught and captured digitally. Also talking about widescreen, make sure the camera shoots in that as the main shoot usually at 16.9 format or the older 23:1 format works well too.
When you wrote your filmplay, you kept it smart, simple and low budget, very low budget. You can do a story with just a few folks if they are committed as you are. There are many starving actors who would almost do it for nothing or for a share of profits. So consider carefully and also make sure you get everything in writing. Getting people in writing negates problems further down the road especially if they are to be paid. If they are doing it for nothing, then remember the old motto 'nothing for nothing', so beware if they walk out half way through a shoot you paid them nothing and have to start over so try and get things in writing, always so there is no waste and no hassles in making your very low budget flick.
Tricks of casting. The above is especailly important during the actor casting phase for your flick. If they are family or friends, then you might not have too many issues to deal with, but do cast carefully for what you will be shooting.
Locations make or break a good flick just as the editing does. Make sure you can find great locations. If they are out of the city, then no permits might be needed if they are general public areas however within many cities limits usually securing a low cost filming permit can be of great benefit. If you are a two person crew then it should be neat and fast to get the backdrops you need.
Editing is perhaps where many films have flubbed up. A perfect example comes to mind with Arnie baby in "True Lies" where he is in a jump jet chasing arabs in the back of a cargo van. One of them calls out Motzeltoff aloud. That is not an arab word at all, but it is in the film and I blame the ditor for this. Editing software is the best. I would recommend if you can afford it Vega Video by Sony software. For more professional editing if you are using Macintosh or Windows, you might use "Final Cut Pro" though be aware the costs are a bit high. A free video editor for mainly straightforward video editing with a few features that works on all the major computer platforms is
Avidemux which you can download and install for free, no charge at all.
You might also want sound editing software and boy oh boy do we have a freebie for you that will allow you to customize sound files and record them with little effort. It takes
Audacity to do that. For something that is so free and easy to use and wickedly powerful, you cannot beat this application. It rivals some of the many top professional recording solutions and is well work using especially since it costs you zilch, zero, zippo nada!
Once you have created and producer your first flick, it is time to create it into a streaming video. You video editor can do that for you especially Avidemux, and not only can you place streaming media online at a small charge but you can use the Avidemux app to burn it directly to DVD, just like the big studios are doing. Want fancy schmancy menus, then just go and grab
DVD Styler which allows you to make just the neatest DVD menus for your custom film flick.
Distribution. The best way to distribute it is probably through
Amazon.com and you can easily setup a free business account with them at any time through their Amazon Advantage account. As long as you have a business license and bank account you are good to go.
So I say, if you want a flick that badly, and it can be done for a low budget or even a nearly zero budget and done well, go for it and here I have provided you an example. This is the start in the 21st century and there are great times and things ahead technology wise for the Indie and I do mean the very small Indie to create some great work to entertain others. Like our favorite motto in
TPB3D "The Future Is Ours," and it always will be when you take the first steps to make it happen.

It is unfortunate that great artists and their work especially authors
of fresh new stories to entertain and create jobs go cast aside because
we are not communists as most of the Tinselturds in Hollywood are. But
fear not my friends, these idiots are watching much of their
anti-American crap falling in the tank and getting flushed by fed-up
American's that know horrible drek when they read about it. Forget
seeing it, as many in the public are doing. They all know in advance that the screen drek is
just that and nothing more, and that is why they don't view it anymore. This is great news, because it stiffs the Marxist commie scum Tinseturds who produce anti-American films about hating this country and killing American men and women serving in the armed forces over seas.
These Marxist scumbags are the worst of the worst, and they don't just discriminate against conservative factions. Oh no. They discriminate against people who haven't had their bodies genetically modified with plastic in Beverly Hills, people who hit 31 years of age, since the diapered Tinseturd Junyahs are just that, little kids with gold spoons sticking out of their mouths. I could easily show half of them where they can stick their golden spoons and the sun don't shine in that place.
See, here is the problem. Just like California will cut its own financial coffers and services to the bones killing off every job, this lousy state wants Illegal ALIENS (there, I spelled it big enough for any schmucks who resent the word) including someone going around in need of a spitshine. That is what the Tinselturds are doing. These people are so stupid, I mean every one of the Tinselturds and Hollysluts are so delusional and detached from society that sooner or later when viewers stop viewing completely (and it is happening) then they might first start to wake up.
American's have given the bird to the news media papers mainly and also now are doing the same by not watching ABC, CBS and NBC like they used to, and not purchasing from sponsors on those stations. I can assure you that the Tinselturds and their phony plastic faces and idiocy are not far behind, because that is all they are...big BEHINDS.

Dummyhead Instead Part II
Nov 17, 2008 | 3:17 PM PST
Category:

What is a Dummyhead you ask? Great question, they are somebody who walks around with massive egos and belittling you at nearly every turn while portraying their falsely gained self confidence. In essence they really are stupid people, why because they lack something called respect for you the blogger. So, let us explore part II of Dummyhead Instead!
Even Rupert Murdoch confirms exactly why you don't treat alternative news media including blogger poorly as Dummyhead did in his comments calling these blogs a circus and inferring that you, regardless of your political persuasion or any other persuasions for that matter are a big, big CLOWN!
See, here is the problem Dummyhead. When you look down on every one of the bloggers here and you spit your disdained venom
(No correlation meant - fellow honorary blogger Ddain) upon them, they fight back. And so, here my fellow bloggers. You are vindictaed by the Big Bossman himself and someone I have admired for a very long time, Mr. Murdoch in his own words about respecting those who carry news....
"The complacency stems from having enjoyed a monopoly--and now finding
they have to compete for an audience they once took for granted. The
condescension that many show their readers is an even bigger problem.
It takes no special genius to point out that if you are contemptuous of
your customers, you are going to have a hard time getting them to buy
your product. Newspapers are no exception."
- Rupert Murdoch Nov. 16th 2008,
Cnet source cited.
Mr. Murdoch, your guy the Dummyhead is even less of an exception...See, the problem here is that Dummyhead walks up, puffed up (he's getting to be a fatso) chest, persnickety smile, and stomps on you because he has a news journalism degree, but lacks enough common sense to bring himself up to par. Actually, he is part of that big club that looks down on you, the blogger. It is made up of lots of Dummyheads, after all, where would they be without belittling your efforts and learning things from you, and oh, their massive egos....that persnickety little sucker, boy oh boy could I ever give a few words of my own to that Dummyhead. But instead feel free to blog here about
Dummyhead Instead and let that sucker again have a piece of your mind and let me specify to you folks, prove him wrong. Don't attack each other, instead debate about the way he spits on your blogging endeavors, after all, he is nothing more than a Dummyhead Instead!

Is it really because of a bad economy or bad business at the top? I blame it on corporate ignorance of the worst kind. Yes the economy is hurting, but during the last depression, movie theaters ran all kinds of flicks and across broad parts of the countries, those flicks allowed "American's" to escape the poor form of government implementations.
The problem here is that the big Tinselturds at the big studios have pissed monies away as well as jobs for a very long time, while maintaining a closed industry, also closed to new ideas and talents. The main issue is entertainment. It still sells when performed and produced correctly, but it fails when it no longer accepts talented people, and talented artistic endeavors and this has been my own bone of contention all along. Yes there are mediocre TV specials, some reality shows that are so-so in ratings, but those aside, the big flicks with the same commie faces and a few non-commie faces, have about worn their welcome out with the viewing audiences. What the customers want are new faces, new stories, new forms of media to especially watch at home.
But like everything else, they will blame the slowing economy, yet if big films come out or great films where everything is right, watch their profits soar and you will know that what I am typing here is right on the entertainment monies. A perfect example is the 4th Axle Foley film of BH Cop 4. If Paramount does this right, you can bet the profits will be huge. Of course if they botched it, the profits will be smaller. Just take a back seat, sit back and wait, great times ahead, when the changes occur and they are coming. Unfortunately for the Tinselturds, nothing stays the same forever.

Fixing GDLA!

Okay, if I have said this before, I will say it again. Steve, when you first appear a few minutes before the GDLA broadcast only a sneak peak with Jean and Tony, please be wearing a jacket already. It looks more professional.
Jillian, you hair is awful and it reminds me of a trogladite cave woman. Get a haircut and straightening. A shorter managed hairdo that is not scraggly is best. I think your hair being dark rather then bleached blonde works best for you. Probable not much more then shoulder length is good to go, and stay dressed conservatively, not like a street walker!
Dorothy, you need a new makeup person. Do you really know what your face looks like on High Def? It looks like someone smacked a powder puff with baby powder on your face. Honestly, you must get makeup to match your arm and neckline skin tones with your face, otherwise you look like a clown in the morning. Trust me. If you get a darker makeup to better match your skin tones, this would be a great improvment.
These are my two cents comments, so good luck. Anyone else want to weigh in on the GDLA show and needed improvements go for it, but be civil this time around, as my gripes are legitimate.
"I wanted to be politically correct. I had E.T. and Close Encounters and we have Independence Day, so we made the aliens inter-dimensional. It's PC"
Mister "S", you altered work based on a guilt trip in the biz. Please, next time you make a flick, don't try to be politically correct, because you are shorting your audience, they are not that stupid! Instead, be a creative artist and go with what works. The inter-dimensional string theory was way, way out there and actually quite unbelievable. Had they been Zetas who traveled from a distant star, that would have been much better. In addition, I remember when you guys forced the "Dark Skies" people at Columbia Pictures and NBC to shy away from "MIB's" because of your movie. It was you bullying of them that made the series shy from the topic of MIB's within the series. Just so you could make your movie profits at the time, you helped kill that series and shorted viewers. Again, if it works use it, and stop trying to be nice to others before you with "That's already been done." It is that type of thinking that stifles and kills great stories.
I say, so what if it has been done before? If it works use it, and if it does not work, then change it to work. But don't, I repeat, do not short the audience with alternative garbage when you can deliver better, and you are not the only one doing this, as that brings me to my point of why Hollywood is committing suicide.
The original artistic bent to rewrite, rewrite and rewrite just to be politically correct in production storytelling is pure rubbish that pervades this entire industry, stinks to high heaven and turns my movie viewing stomach along with 12 dollar popcorn. It is time that if a certain aspect of the story has been told before, but works, then use it and stop trying to be wimps when you can be story-lions, otherwise you are shortchanging your audiences and they are smart enough to know this.

Uses Communist Party Chinese money to slander the outgoing pariah President of the United States. Is this controversial putz for real or what. Again this industry shows you they hate America, so much so, that they now openly use Communist monies to make anti-American films. A good word of advice to many is let Stone who should add a "D" to his name and call himself Oliver Stoned, go get stoned somewhere. I honestly wouldn't watch his controversial anti-American fantasy krapp if it was the last flick on Earth, ever to be produced again! How's that, Oliver, you production putz you. You can take your flick "W" and stick it where the sun don't shine up your liberal path to nowhere.

Don't see this, let this guy starve. Show him that his flicks of anti-Americanisms have reached the end of their run in this country. If he really needs to sell his flicks. Let him go sell them to the communist Chinese and then do voice dubs and make them just as bad as some of those old dubbed karate flicks used to be where the guy speaks and the words follow about a second or two later, only the Chinese will get that pile of it, cause this production putz ain't worth my dollars for whatever they are still worth!
