rjl2621's Thoughts

by rjl2621 from Akron, Ohio

Last Post 10 days Ago

Aside from the thoughts and opinions on the Browns, I wanted to make a quick post also to pay tribute to Kevin Everett, his family and his Buffalo Bills teammates.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kevin and his family during this difficult time. I share in the hopes of many that Kevin will at least partially recover from this and won't be paralyzed from this injury. I pray for all of those involved to have the strength to get through this, but most of all Kevin in order to have a speedy recovery.

Rizz reported this evening that there may be some optimistic signs coming from the hospital and that is certainly good news to hear. Let's hope that turns out true.

I can only echo your wishes. What a tragic accident - no illegal hits involved. Just shows how fragile a human body is, no matter how well-conditioned.

It's easy for us to sit here and complain about our Cleveland Browns, but something like this deserves more attention and more prayers than our dismal start to the season.

At the end of the day football is just a game and these guys are essentially risking their lives to entertain fans like us. The least we can do is pay respect to them when they suffer an injury this devestating.

I agree this is far more important than a game.Let's pray he recovers enough to lead a somewhat normal life. There are many people who are in his situation and we should pray for all of them.God bless you Kevin!

I heard that too and that, indeed, is great news, JT.

What did impress me was how quickly they got him to the hospital and into the O.R. for surgery. I think the teams' medical staff and the other first responders deserve a fair amount of credit too.

Should Kevin regain the ability to walk it is no doubt in part because of the job the medical staff did in transporting him and then treating his injury.
