Im sorry to see summer go already, it was such a busy summer it seemed like it just got here, and its nearly over. Kids back to school today.  Looking forward to Halloween and the Wooly Bear Festival. Im going to see if  I can find Maxine  (See Pug in dress.) a Wooly Bear Costume.  We will be there regardless.  Im really looking forward to her seeing her first snow.  Pictures to follow :)

I love the Wooleybear fest also< and am going this year, like I have for so many years. But I could have summer year round. Love that season. Not looking forward to the cold snow, and pounding the ice off the windshield, while you have strong freezing winds blowing at your face. Love summer, but in this state, it's much too short.

Wow now I'm really sorry to see summer go. This is the first year I really dreaded seeing winter come. I finally reached a point in my life where I could call 60 degrees winter weather:)

Denver is worse than Cleveland. I have a cousin that lives there. The only thing keeping me in Ohio in the winter now is Fear of Big Bugs and Snakes. At least with the cold weather we don't have as much of that. I do wish people would remember how to drive in the snow, they scare me in the summer on 480, they really scare me in the winter!

Summer is great, but to tell you the truth, I welcome fall. We have been so busy with working in our garden and canning that I need a break! :-) I hate winter though. We use fuel oil to heat our house, and the estimated cost for ONE month of oil is around $600! Plus I hate carrying water buckets out to the barn for the goats.

I love goats! and horses too, but it is alot of work in the winter when u don't feel like going outside. I didn't work in the garden much this summer, but I am painting the trim on the house, and that is big. I have some winter projects lined up hopefully before Christmas. (thats a whole nother subject)
