Get ready, Get set...wait, wait, wait!  Not so fast!  It's going to be slow going in the temperature department.  Luckily, it will be heating up for the Memorial Day weekend.  We still have to endure some cooler-than-normal temps mid-week, but who cares?!?!  By Sunday/Memorial Day, we'll be flirting with 80F...and it's even looking dry!!! 

Mmmmm...I can smell it already...ribs, chicken, mac 'n' cheese, baked beans, and a mammoth slice of apple pie (w/ ice cream!).  Yummy!  What's your BBQ tradition?

Besides Memorial Day BBQ's, we are also in the midst of 'open house season'.  Graduation parties are getting closer, and we want to hear all about your plans.  Tell us what's up with your holiday weekend BBQ &/or open houses on the horizon...

We usually barbeque whole steers. It makes for some SERIOUS cleanup, though.

What I don't get is in the 8-day on Monday it says no chance of rain???? But on the right side of the page, the same page of the 8 day forcast it says....showers?!?!?!? Hmm this is strange..I want to know if there is a chance of rain and how big of a chance because I am planning a BIG day. Thanks

Bur anyways..this Monday I am planning a big cook out at this park. Friends and family coming. Decided to do it at the park this year but no major clean-up, can relax more, and have much more room and more activites to do with the family, especially our 15-month baby girl! So I am really excited for that. It's like the first summer when can have with her because last year she was too little to play and walk, so we all are looking forward to that. I am going to make my pasta salad, and the hubby going to make his famous ribs...they are mmhmmm good..haha. But I want to wish everyone a very happy memorial day. Pray for the troops and God Bless America!
