PB - "This subject is getting old, it's APPLES and ORANGES." that's the BIGGEST part of the whole problem there.

APPLES AND ORANGES same basic thing - FRUIT but they are different. different color, taste, vitamins, etc. both very tasty & good for you.

IT IS NOT APPLES & ORANGES, it's HUMANS, which are ALL the same. the big problem with the "seperation" is the democrats, there is way too much money, power & fame involved in keeping everyone APPLES & ORANGES instead of just FRUIT.

if the apples were "parading" down main street tooting their own horns, then they are called RACISTS, but if the oranges do the exact same thing, they are called PROUD ORANGES.

ahhhhhhhhhh so it's okay for the oranges to "toot their own horns" but it's not okay for the apples. they are the same basic thing - FRUIT, but the oranges DESERVE more attention & pats on the back than the apples do?

again i ask WHY?

also, THIS white person hasn't had everything & had an easy time in life. THIS white person worked her patootie off to get where she is, no hand outs, no help, nothing.

I agree dprin, where does the idea that all whites have it easy come from?? Well, all the other races of course...its and assupmtion, not a fact.

I have NEVER obtained anything just like that, as Polar seems to think. I was the minority in the school I went to, had to live in the hood because that's all my Mom could afford, and worked two jobs to do it. The grants and loans that are supposadly out there DO NOT EXSIST in reality...and the one's that do, are by NO MEANS easy to get.

Just sick of the race thing being so cut and dry in every one's mind.

A very dear friend of mine, for going on 20 years now ( who happens to be black ) said it best...

Meggeo, you present a very logical argument that has been debates on this forum many times.
I agree with you totally, unfortunately there are many that go through life without the benefit of common sense, or are too scared to express injustice for fear of persecution.
Certain groups claim to have the desire to "eliminate" racism, but their actions actually promote it. Ironic eh?
Doesn't fly with me and should not fly with anyone. Definitions of the word "racism" need to apply to all, or it mean nothing.
Racism-"Prejudice or discrimination based on an individual's race; can be expressed individually or through institutional policies or practices".
Damn...lol. What more can I say? OK, maybe a lot..lol
To many, racism seems to a one way street. That is beyond absurd. With the new age of political correctness, it is no longer possible for some in this country to even express a "hint" of race based pride, or speak out against unjust policy due to ethnic differences (affirmative action, etc) without the worry of a lawsuit, or at the very least, the destruction of their character.
The concept of "freedom of speech" have been altered. Today, only those other than Anglo-Saxon have the true freedom of speech.

Freedom of speach is still our right, maybe if we used it more often to call people out for the BS they spew, less people would spew their BS...savvy??
