OK, I have to ask this question.  I am not trying to be a jerk, I just have a question that I need to ask....

Why is is ok to have "The United Negro College Fund"  but if there was a "United Caucasian College fund"  it would be racist??

I don't understand the logic behind that?  I know for a fact that I am not the only one that feels this way,  I guess I am the only white girl with you know what big enough, to ask this legitimate question.

I don't care who you are, where you came from, or what color your skin is,  I give what I get, if you respect me, I respect you,  if your a jerk to me, then I am a jerk to you. But I am sure that asking this question automatically makes me a racist....which is just silly...

meggeo, I guess there is really no politically correct answer to your question. We have many other examples though, BET tv, no white tv, MLK day, no Washington or Lincoln birthday [they became "President's day]. Every major city has a MLK highway of some sort, but you won't find any George Wallace freeways ANYWHERE. We have Black History month, but no White history month. Oh, to be so PC!

Seriously - I've asked the same questions myself many times. But, see, the white people have to be punished somehow for what their ancestors did hundreds of years ago, and this is one of them. Blacks get their own stuff, but also are still privy to the other things as well - quite often taking precedence over whites. But, that's not racist, right?

No sachannel, it's OK because it's not some white guy(like that Shadow knows) calling them "Negro". The context of what he said was using the term "Negro" as a derogatory word against Blacks. It's the same way that a white person can NEVER call a Black person te "N" word.

Really mr.ED? So I guess having a charity to help poor Black kids go to college is racist to the white people EXACTLY the same as segregation and lynchings were to the Blacks. What a load of horse BLEEP!

I can't help but be amused by all of these posts that start with "I'm not a rascist, but..."
If you weren't a rascist, you wouldn't be writing blogs that require a disclaimer saying that you aren't one. You're lashing out against the black community, plain and simple.
Oh and one other thing I'd like to point out :

monstar:Three simple words for you my friend...C-M-T. is that so i have seen black country singers on cmt sorry i can't think of his name but he is on there,yet i have never seen white people on BET.and the other differance is in the name itself CMT is coud never call there station THE ALL WHIT COUNTRY MUSIC STATION that would be racist.
just for the record i do not owe anyone white or black a damn thing other than the same respect i give everyone...

If you want to find out about somethings that are also against the White people in Ohio, check out Ohio's Government agencies. None for Whites, many for Blacks. If you are White, like me, the only word they know is Racist. I can only ask one question. Since we were not Born that way, I wonder what caused all of my Hate?

if you really want to know, google. there is a reason for the uncf.black people that whats to get the education and deserves to get the education , but can't afford it. period. this is an opputunity for the person to achieve a higher education . no matter whos pocket it comes out of. they are grateful for the opportunity.anyone can apply. color is not the issue education is.

no it isn't hrider. education is for people of color. it is a fund used for higher education set up for people that can't afford to go to college. we, at some point in time, weren't allowed to attend certain colleges. there are some white people who have benefitted from this fund also. don't be bitter because there is a fund. you can set up a foundation of your one also. to benefit whatever you desire

Well Polar,
I was brought up in the south where the Democrats ruled.
They weren't "Black Democrats," and they were well entrenched with KKK members. Just like Sen. Byrd from WV. was a "Wizard" in the KKK.
The lynching and segregation stopped when the Republicans lead the Congress to pass Fed. Discrimination laws.
I think you may also remember Pres. Lincoln, Rep, Ill.
I could care less about CMT vs. BET, I have a remote control and I use it, MUTE and OFF are my favorite buttons.
We don't need to have a bunch of Racist Blacks or Radical Whites telling us what to think or do. We need unity against the people trying to attack us, (US).
In the months that followed 911 in 2001 we all looked at each other as brothers and sisters. We all cried together and we were all united for one cause. We all flew our American Flags.
We are still under attack, where ever a free person in this world is held captive, discriminated against or abused. We should all be united for the cause of there freedom and liberty no matter what TV show they like to watch.
You and the other Liberals that constantly attack the Conservative views or Republicans that believe in this cause, are only helping to give our enemies a foot hold in dividing this great country.
The terrorist will be pulling for the Liberal Democrats to win so they can continue to train, arm and plan their attacks again.
This internal battle we fight with our political parties is
all well and good they say.
However, the News Media looks for small sparks or starts them so they can fans the fires. The Lawyers love this so
