...and I'm so sorry for your lost too.    I do hope that you had someone to talk to or that you received some type of grief counseling.   What you went through can affect you for many years to come.

I feel for that young father too.  He lost so much so quickly.  He's going to need a lot of family support and counseling too.  Lord knows the pain and grief he has to bear.

Take good care of yourself and your little one Chandon.

Thank you Ebony - LOL. I think it's called a "typo." I'm a former secretary and sometimes it's just a matter of making the wrong reach or typing too fast.

As for Ms. Real1: Trust me - I know the difference between lose, loose, lost, and loss. But as Ms. Ebony has so poignantly pointed out (you go girl) - YOU DON'T. THE NERVE! I think before you call yourself giving someone a grammar lesson....Oh never mind, I think Ms. Ebony said it best.

AND it's "I've" NOT Ive...punctuate your contractions gir1...since ya givin' out lessons.

DREY: Yes, my heart is "on the right track" - but what the hell is HER problem? Love the smile. :-)

Oh...and I'm not a kid. Thank you.

Lovelyhoney
Have you took a good look at my picture? Everyone is a youngin to me!!!! I been married over 52 yrs and I am almost 90. By the way, I know Real1 from other blogs and friends and family from our church. She aint like that at all. what I think she ment was the mother of those two angels did not get them lost. instead. the mother of those two children is the one that will lose in all this. Actually, Real1 is a very nice woman married to a very nice proud Black man Kin to my family. She just did not explain what she ment very well the first time. She good people. I know you aint one to pull the quick judge on people right? I read many of your posts and it seem like you a nice proud black woman yourself. keep on with all the love and peace, remember never show your anger even if you have cause. It will always make you look weak even if you think you winning. Now that would be a loss. :) Also, I want to say I am proud to see you takin advantage of all the education available to kids today. You set very good examples for our young people. education is the key to equalization and the end to all this foolish racism. Keep doin what you doin I am proud of you and you should be too. We can learn what we set our mind to. I learned how to type and kinda work this computer! shoot if I can do that people can do anything. remember never show your anger it will never pay off. some people love to see you hate, it mean they won. Always smile and teach them a leson at the bank once you get done with that school and get that job that will set you straight and leave those others han

Dear Dr. Drey: :-)

You're a sweetie...and funny too. Thank you for your comments.

We have a saying in counseling - behavior is "purposeful" so for the record, I do think people LIKE Real1 do MEAN SOMETHING when they DO what she DID (like perusing through blogs trying to start "meaningless" fights with fellow bloggers for whatever reason).

Normally, I choose to ignore this type of blogger because all you end up doing is blogging about THEM instead of the issue at hand. But since YOU brought HER up, here's my spill and I'm only going to expouse on it once:

This blog was to give encouragement to an 18 year old who went through a horrific ordeal and shared it with us. Instead of focusing on that, Real1 chose to focus on some minor typo (notice, she never commented on Chandon's blog)...and then to TOP IT OFF - her "correction" was wrong as two left feet...LOL!

I'm sorry, people like Real1 will always try to come from a place of "supremacy" when dealing with African Americans no matter how ignorant THEY are (as Ebonyeyes so graphically pointed out) and no matter what "persuasion" they're married too.

Not that I care...I'm just glad she “ain't” part of my family. With that "attitude" she wouldn't last.

Again, thanks for the comments and continue to pray for young people like Chandon and the young father of those two babies - they need all the help and support they can get.

OH...and Dr. Drey:

I'm impressed with your computer skills - at 90 years old. WOW! I'm going to show some of my students your blog. Impresive! When they tell me they CAN'T do something - I'm going to show them your blogs.

you are more than welcome lovelyhoney, i about died when i read this, i'm like how in the hell do you correct someone and you don't know. yeah i'm also impressed with dre my father is 60 and he just used the computer for the first time last week! and he didn't like it he said he rather just look at the news. and real may be a nice person but it just kills me when people try to correct grammar and spelling on here, i am very well educated but i don't even think twice on these blogs about my grammar, i don't use capitals(as you see), hardly use correct punctuation and like i said as long as you understand what people are saying then go for it!

Ebonyeyes:

I'm still laughing about this one. And you hopped right on it! Thanks for the backup - don't know why some folks feel compelled to do what they do (welllll...in this case - yes I do).

She probably is a nice person, but I think a NICE person would've been more interested in Chandon and not my dumb typos or grammar usage. I was just trying to get an encouraging word to an 18 year-old...dang!

Dr. Drey is too cool! My mother learned the computer at 60 - she liked playing Solitaire and Hearts.

Again, thanks for the support -- you crack me up! LOL!!!!
