I feel , like I have said before, if you can not smoke in public places anymore than lets banned people from wearing aftershave, perfumes, hairsprays, because these items too also cause breathing problems for some people which is not healthy. Now I did not say ban deodorant  just  all the other things people wear. I understand alot of people may use these things to cover up bad  body odor but lets all just use deodorant  and ban the rest, I have been around some people that  whatever they are wearing is so strong that it take my breathe away. I feel its unhealthy like to breathe such strong smells. Maybe if enough people get together and get a class act law suit going like they did with the cigarettes companies, maybe just maybe things would change.I beleive in wearing deodorant but come on lets not get carried away with all the  other things that people wear, then you can get next to them without coughing or having a hard time breathing. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander!!!!

Are you serious?! Haven't we had enough of our rights taken away already? You may not like the way someone's cologne smells - they may not like that you wear too much makeup. Should we ban makeup? Maybe someone doesn't like your hair style because it's from the 80's. Should we ban big hair?!

I've taken a different approach to the new "nicotine nazi" law. See it's been my experience that when the police are called it will take 20-30 min. for them to arrive (nonemergency calls anway). I can smoke a cigarette in under 5. So, I recomend to all my fellow smokers out there to light up everywhere. We've been tiptoeing around nonsmokers long enough. I've tried to respect them and their rights by moving away from a crowd or going outside, but like my mother used to say "if you give them an inch, they'll take a mile". besides do you really think the police are to drop thier doughnuts to bust someone for a cigarette. I highly doubt it.

tell me how many police will every city and state have to hire to watch everyone and what they are doing? it will be a heck of a lot of people. these health nuts need to go back and worry about themselves instead everyone else. they need to keep running till they are out of breath and cannot breathe when they stop. then they go take a shower. you people are real stupid.

Opie Taylor, I must say that I do aggree with you and yes you are right, I use to years ago when I was in my teens and was working at a doughnut shop that we gave alot of free doughnuts n coffee to the police, at all times of the day n evening...I was taught also that if I was going to smoke than smoke away from people , well my parents would roll over in their graves because now when I am out in public because of all this bull about smokers and non smokers I will stay in line and puff away, whether they like it or not, I no longer go off to one side and smoke, I stand at full attention and PUFF PUFF AWAY !!!!! I have had a few people ask me not to smoke while in line and I tell them nicely, sorry but I will smoke..if it bothers you than go to a bar or to a restaunt....lololo....HAve a good day to everyone that has reaad this.

Well if it causes harm to others health wise which it does, I had a friend end up in I.C.U. because of someones perfume, so like I said if they are going to ban SMOKING than they need to BAN the use of the rest of these harmful things.MMMMM....Sitting here smoking on my nice smooth tasting cigarette.!!!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!

Lets just get the government to control everything then life will be so easy for all of us. We will all be healthy and happy right?!

Sure, then we won't have to make any decisions for ourselves at all, what a relief that would be!

Maybe we could start wearing uniforms in public too, that way no one is ever offended ever when stepping into public!

Oh, then we could all just start driving horses and buggies too and to hell with pollution!

Then we could vote for new Tv laws, so TV would consist of two channels; one informing us of all the laws and the other one government approved entertainment!

Can't wait to see what happens when that goes on the ballet...

Vote, vote, vote away all of our rights!

Life is good...

LMAO! GOOD DAY TO EVERYONE!

We can all rant and rave all we want, but the law is the law. You cannot pick and choose which laws you wish to obey or disobey. Many people on these blogs claim to be loyal, president-supporting, God-fearing Americans. Apparantely not, if you don't want to obey the law of the land. There are certainly more pressing issues and legislation to worry about than banning perfume! You are already complaining about the frivilous smoking law. Why would you want another one?

Girlscout- I feel fair is only fair, if we can not smoke then ban all perfumes, etc, I had a friend end up in I.C.U. because of a persons perfume. I dont smoke in restauanrts or clubs but yep I will and do SMOKE in lines or outdoors, if which I have already haave someone ask me to please dont smoke around them , I have told them nicely..Look I am out doors there is no law against that yet so you want smoke free then go to a baar, club or restuarant because I am and WILL SMOKE outdoors , why..CAUSE I HAVE THAT RIGHT!!! Everyone that reads this do have a good week . Thank you.

If you wish to smoke in lines or outdoors that is your privilege. But don't heap one mistake upon another and ban perfume too.Slowly, but surely, all our rights are being taken away as you can see first-hand with the smoking law. So are you saying "Screw everyone else - if I can't smoke, they can't wear perfume!"? Very childish! You won't feel so full of revenge when they start banning everything, like I mentioned above. Maybe they'll ban 80's hair styles, or old-fashioned clothes, or makeup. Sure, makeup doesn't smell, but it has lots of ingredients that some people may be allergic to. Why don't we ban cars because people get killed in car accidents every day? Get real. Now don't take this personally, Lovely, I'm just trying to point out the other side of the story. You have a great week too!
