More dog killing cops

Just saw an MSNBC report about sheriff's deputies in Princes County, MD who conducted a highly questionable raid on the mayor's house and shot his dogs who were not bothering the sheriff's deputies in the least...just shot them dead for no reason.  The sheriff's deputies even followed one dog who was running away so they could  kill it!!!  Of  course, the police are totally unwilling to admit any wrong.  The mayor- it turns out- had done nothing wrong and the raid was a complete screw up by these incompetent sheriff's deputies.  The mayor has requested an FBI investigation.  Of course, nothing will happen for the cold blooded murder of these family pets....

unexcuseable! totally cruel and barbaric! This has GOT TO STOP!!! cops are not above the law! the homeowner has the right to bear arms and protect their property ! the mayor , or for that matter the pet owner should have the right to shoot the police to protect their "pet property"! police better stop, think, step back before they start shooying. how pitiful to see them chace down thatpoor frigtened dog fleeing to save its life- it got no mercy no compassion -just ruthless barbaric cruelty- those cops should be sued, stripped off the police force and inprisoned!! the son of a Asp !rrrrrrrr

Big bad cops and their guns. They always cry "I felt threatened." Give me a break. I remember years ago when a Cleveland cop shot a kitten. I think he was let go. I hope the sissy was anyway.

How right you are CAK....I have said it before and I'll say it again don't blame the dog, blame the owner....If a criminal breaks into your house and cuts himself on the glass or falls through your kitchen skylight landing on a knife, he can sue you in civil court.....so I hope that all of the people out there who have had their dogs shot by police officers SUE them in civil court...I am sure you will find many people like myself on the jury who would be very sympathetic to your cause! Besides, Pepper spray and tazers work just as well on dogs as they do people...

I care a great deal about animal welfare. I am appalled by the amount of animal abuse that is reported daily and I use every opportunity I have to push for stronger laws to punish those who abuse innocent animals.I strongly encourage everyone who agrees to speak out for animals. I consider myself an independent- not aligned with the Republican or Democratic party. I love the United States with a passion and offer insight and criticism to make this country as great as our Founding Fathers envisioned.
