Well, when the Republicans were seeking election in 2000 and 2004, they distracted many of the less intelligent voters by making the fear of gay marriage a number one concern. Pro-Republican religious leaders told their congregations -and anyone else who would listen- that The United States would come to a virtual end if gay people got married! God would strike us down! Hurricanes and tornados would ravage areas where there were lots of gay people...vote Republican and end the threat of gay marriage!! Ohioans did their part and passed a Constitutional amendment protecting the state from the immense threat....good 'ole Republican leaders like Ken Blackwell rode in on a white horse and saved the day for Ohio.. so now the United States is faced with a financial crisis unseen since the Great Depression...foreclosures are at all time recent highs.... Ohio has lost hundreds of thousands of jobs..oil has gone from $20 a barrel in 2002 to over $100 a barrel, food prices are out of this world, the war in Iraq has costs thousands of lives and trillions of dollars...but..at least we don't have gay marriage!!!!!!!
Sounds like a smart move, huh?

Republicans will have us believe that we should vote for them again- so they can protect us from the "others" i.e. Gay people, Immigrants, Hispanics, Muslims- and anyone who is different and that Republicans want us to be afraid of!

Fear Mongering is how Republicans get elected- War Mongering is how Republicans get Reelected.

The irresponsible mess they have put our` country, and the world in, is the reason they won`t get re-elected.

And Ohio doesn't have gambling either but those dollars are going out to our border states and Canada. If the Reps get elected, I hope they have a plan.

They have a plan. Keeping gambling illegal because gambling is evil, unless it is done in church. Can anyone say Bingo?

Republicans did get elected! The President of the United States- the most powerfull man in the U.S. government is a Republican- and he DOES have a plan- and that plan is evil and it is bad for America- as all Republican plans are.

War Mongering? Oh yes, that's right. I do remember Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Johnson, staunch Democrats all and all at the helm when we went to war. War Mongering? That is something to lay at the doorstep of the Democrats!!

Let me guess your not a Republican. lol
I vote both parties and some cant understand thinking you have to be one or the other. Staying in Iraq was a major screw up and allowing too easy of loans. Most of the oil price is set long before the distributors get it from over seas.

Well Steve, The last election I voted for Ralph Nader. The reason for that is that I was about 99% sure that Bush was going to win. So I voted for Nader to help establish the Green Party as a viable political party. But this time a split off vote is the same as a vote FOR the Democrats. So like him or not I will be voting for McCain.
I see only two options in Iraq. We surrender and turn tail for home. Or we declare it as a real war which we INTEND to win. Right now a terrorist can shoot at our guys, then step around the corner, ditch his weapon, pull off his ski mask and become an instant innocent civilian. If we intend to win I propose that when the terrorist takes his shots and ducks around the corner to whip off his ski mask that we have so many Marines there that the terrorist finds himself looking down a Marines' gunbarrel. No more playing war games with our boys lives.

That is very convenient- since you are not the one being shot at every day by insurgents occupying a country indefinitely for uknown and or immoral reasons.

Surrender is when you give in to the enemy- Withdrawal is when you pull out of an area because it does not make strategic sense.

Oh, we had both a known and a moral reason. It was to depose Saddam Hussein who slaughtered his own people. Just ask them!

I care a great deal about animal welfare. I am appalled by the amount of animal abuse that is reported daily and I use every opportunity I have to push for stronger laws to punish those who abuse innocent animals.I strongly encourage everyone who agrees to speak out for animals. I consider myself an independent- not aligned with the Republican or Democratic party. I love the United States with a passion and offer insight and criticism to make this country as great as our Founding Fathers envisioned.
