Meat recall in US

Congratulations to the Humane Society of the United States for its groundbreaking investigation into the unbelivable cruelty at the meatpacking plant in California that has resulted in the largest beef recall in United States History. I would hope that we all condemn the the heartless manner in which animals are brutally treated at many of thse meatpacking plants. I call upon the United States Congress, the President of the United States, and the United States Department of Agriculture to halt this holocaust by passing the Downed Animal Act now introduced into Congress. Please call your member of Congress and ask them to support this law.

This is one of the reason's I don't eat meat - because of animal cruelty at farms and plants that process it.

I couldn't believe that video. It was heartbreaking to see the cruelty. I think this plant (and all others that are caught doing this) should be permanently shut down. Not only are they cruel to animals, they put us ALL in danger by selling this meat.
I buy my pork and beef from a local farmer. I SEE the animals before they are slaughtered. They are healthy and treated well, and are slaughtered in the most humane manner possible.

To even think that it took the Humane Society to inform us. My thoughts are these, Animals are far more Valuable than our Kids. We as a Nation are watching as this Gov. and China are wiping out the next generations. No Country will survive without it's youngsters to take the Helm. Whats sad is that most don't even care! Did anyone rad the Charges on the ones THAT did get arrested? More on Animals than Humans.

I care a great deal about animal welfare. I am appalled by the amount of animal abuse that is reported daily and I use every opportunity I have to push for stronger laws to punish those who abuse innocent animals.I strongly encourage everyone who agrees to speak out for animals. I consider myself an independent- not aligned with the Republican or Democratic party. I love the United States with a passion and offer insight and criticism to make this country as great as our Founding Fathers envisioned.
