What nerve of Michael Vick to say today that "we all make mistakes" and he showed some "bad judgment." Did Hitler and Stalin show bad judgment? Gee whiz, Hitler just made a mistake, right? Lee Harvey Oswald? oh gee, that was really bad judgment, huh Mike? (No, I am not equating people with dogs- I am just trying to show how stupid Vick is...)
This guy- Vick- couldn't find Jesus fast enough...I thought he would at least wait until the Oprah appearance to cry and
say he found God. He should be stripped of everything this society has provided to him- including his million dollar compound that became a death chamber for countless dogs.
Vick: you have not fooled anybody with your performance today..you are a joke as a human and deserve everything you get. Too bad he didn't apologize to the dogs he hideously tortured.
A totally disgusted, Kentguy2007

I don't buy that ''found god'' thing at all. It seems whenever someone is in trouble, they always find god. As for your examples, I agree. Oh sure, everyone makes mistakes like THAT, NOT! And how can he say torturing dogs is a ''mistake''?

As for Opera, I really hope he doesn't go on her show, I couldn't see Opera defending him, since she has dogs and cares for animals. It's time for Vick to go to jail(real jail, not 82 minutes or some joke like that)

You are right...I would hope Oprah would tell him to take a long walk on a short pier..let trash like Vick go on Jerry Springer...

Unfortunately he has made a public apology. There will be a lot of forgiving souls. One of which I'm not.

His mother's comments were even worse. She
couldn't understand what Vick did that was
so terribly wrong.

I also wonder why the prosecution even took
this deal? If their case was so strong, why
not go to trial and send this guy to prison
and do some real long time?

why because there are fans that support Vick if they go to trial it would be hard enough to find a fair trial.

Vick is trying to think we are all idiots with short term memory. yea we all make mistakes but the mistakes we make doesn't harm or train others to kill. it is consider to have common sense and question one self if it is legal to such a thing instead of trainning for the next season.

God loving people should have sometype of compassion and respect for all of gods creatures!
Many Hate-filled people claim to find God only once they are in trouble - they are only using god to gain lighter sentences and sympathy.
Where was his compassion and sympathy as he repeatedly killed and hurt innocent creatures.
Many say "its a dog" - most killers start out by hurting animals then move on to people.
A race issue - that such a old excuse!
The man is/was full of hate and greed race has nothing to do with it!!
I say feed him to the DOGS!!
(but the poor dogs probably wouldn't kill him- they are gods creatures- not killers unless trained to be by humans)

AS MLK Said " judge people on their character not color" So everyone needs to stop the race-whinning, the man has a cruel character who cares what color he is.

Michael Vick is no Hitler but what he is, is another athlete/star who had a wonderful shot in life to truly make a good name for themselves and become a wonderful assset to society. Instead he was ignorant to his opportunity and shamed his self. He will suffer the consequences of his actions and it will take along time to heal his name if ever. Time will tell if he truly changed his ways or not. Nothing he says will tell the truth better than his future actions.

I wouldn't put it past Oprah to have him on her show. It's all about the ratings. I'm sure she along with other talk shows are thinking the same thing.

I believe one doesn't really have to be a dog lover to think it's disgusting. How is it ok to inflict so much pain and torture to a living breathing thing because they didn't win the fight. They feel pain just like we do and just because they can't speak up for themselves it's ok? What a big tough MAN he and the others are.

I had to laugh at the comment that he will pay emotionally........yeah right. From what I understand his family has been doing this for years. He said he never bet on the dogs, another lie? Watch the videos on HSUS.org, they are heartbreaking.

here's a suggestion STOP WATCHING THE VIDEOS!!!!!!!! YES ITS BAD IT'S WRONG BUT WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF WATCHING THE VIDEO! and i do think its digusting but give it a rest already. and i didn't say how emotionally he would pay i don't think he'll be crying over the deaths of these dogs but he'll cry when he has to pay all that money back for such a stupid lack of common sense

This story just blows my mind. It never ceases to amaze me how some people can screw up what others couldn't even have the opportunity to achieve and in such little time.

I hope the NFL makes a stand on this type of behavior and maybe should start to re-think the "signing bonuses". How nice would it be to take that $22mm and give it backs to the fans.

Good Luck Mr. Vick.......

he should do the time for the crime. he is another sport star who thinks he is above all the rest of us. did you people see the first time he went to court with his whole parade following him! acting with a smirk on his face like i am not guilty! give me a break! now he has founf god! that is nothing now they all say that! he is disgusting human being. yeah vick the dogs you killed are creatures of the god you have said you have found! quit your lying! i hope you get what you deserve! if that was me i would end up in jail with no time to appeal and take a plea like you because i am not a star like you say you are! you are a poor excuse for a child of god as you said on tv! i have found god! you need to grow up! you should have done that a long time ago! you are not a role model and never should be. i hope the nfl bars him for life from football. also, they will get their money back. he lied to the nfl and that stands for immediate goodbye for life vick. you should have thought of that before you did this. you did not because the money was to good for you to pass up!

And ebonyeyes quit burying your head in the sand. I only watched one video and it was enough to make me sick. I already knew how disgusting dog fighting was. When they train the fighters they will let them attack another dog that has his mouth taped shut with duck tape so he can't fight back and the other dog will feel dominate. I plan to send more money to HSUS. Thank God for them!

Michael Vick is a "d@&k". Watch him play for the Browns in a few years. lol But, seriously his career is officially over with the NFL. No matter about it. This is bad P.R. for the NFL and the league don't want someone playing for them with this much controversy. And for his comment he found Jesus is just BS!!! This should put a scare in all these young players in sports that they can get caught too. I'm tired of these young punks getting all this money and don't know how to to be productive in society with it.

That is definetly something i agree with these sports players get payed way too much money to play a sport, but really i was thinkig what makes them good role models? because most of them don't go to college or go and tutor kids or build a school or anything, so how are they good role models? they give money to people, ok, but that dosen't make you a good role model, kids look up to these players because they have alot of money and play a sport they love and get payed to do it thats why these kids like em!

BLEEP is wrong with you people? We are talking about dogs here. I have heard more favorable things regarding the firefighter that killed his neighbors in cold blood. You people can have all this compassion for a bunch of dead dogs but condemn this man, this human to hell. Where is the compassion for humans? you people are a joke. Who are you to judge this man's sincerity? I personally do not see how one can go from killing dogs to being sick, sick is ted bundy and dahlmer. Pehodphiles are sick. What he did is not all that different from what happens to the animals that we eat on a daily basis. I'm sorry but I refuse to have more compassion for an animal than i have for a human being. Perhaps you people need to be honest because clearly you don't have such emotions when you hear about a human being killed for no apparent reason.

Killing in any form is never a mistake. It is a willful act. Weather it is hunting for sport/food or taking out a gun or other weapon and using it is deliberate. Using it to cause the death of another person or animal is done purposely. It is a fact that many killers of humans started out by killing animals. I read an article several years ago about the so called sport (not that I think it is a sport) of dog fighting. Nearly all of those who were interviewed and had taken part in one way or another said it is a high like no other to see an animal kill another right in front of you. That is so demented and sick to me. Anyway, they went on to say that if they could get away with it they would love to see two people do the same thing. They say it is very addictive and they hunger for more. I can't remember where I read it (I wish I could remember) but it always stuck in my mind because I had nightmares after reading it. I don't believe he (Vick)is sorry. Just sorry he got caught.

I care a great deal about animal welfare. I am appalled by the amount of animal abuse that is reported daily and I use every opportunity I have to push for stronger laws to punish those who abuse innocent animals.I strongly encourage everyone who agrees to speak out for animals. I consider myself an independent- not aligned with the Republican or Democratic party. I love the United States with a passion and offer insight and criticism to make this country as great as our Founding Fathers envisioned.
