I would like to make a point here with religion, thanks. I would like to know when there became more than one God? I do not know if it was done on purpose or out of just wanting to know or both greed and wanting to know that there is now more than one God. I would say the fact still remains that someone is not telling the truth or is deceived about God. Do the Muslims believe in Adam and Eve?  If so how do they see that whole scenario? Did someone lie about religion to get fame? Or did someone think that they know the truth and was wrong about what they wrote. Who was wrong? How much may be truth and how much is not truth? I know that in a crime scene there is always many different stories to the facts and that fear and opinions cloud what we see is the truth. I know one other fact and that is God does not show himself to us for a reason and on purpose too. I for one strongly feel that each religion has a part of the truth in it. If somehow we can take all of the religions from time period and match them up for that time, the truth is what they all have in common. This is just like a crime scene reenacted to find the real facts; this is like its own version of the Da Vinci code.

Please tell me what you think? God bless and have a great day, Karl.

We can say for sure that the Greeks certainly accentuated the concept of many Gods. And that was about 2,500 years ago, give or take. Then at about 0 AD Jesus is born and with that the birth or the concept of monotheism - one God. But ever since the Greeks we have all been worshiping "our" God. In "our" place of worship. A Pentecostal God is different than a Catholic God. We are still - worshiping false idols - and that goes for all religions. Every single place of worship on this earth has a different way of worshiping. Therefore, every place of worship has a different God. I dare the white man to worship in a black church. I dare the Catholic to pray in a mosque. I dare the muslim to sit in the jewish temple. When humans finally realize there is "one God", we will all worship the same way in the same place. It can be no other way.

sofa...there are plenty of white folks who attend "black churches" and vise versa. That cannot really be a valid point, now as far as the others, I believe that there is only one god but that there are many different ways to worship him. Catholics are the only ones who recognize and worship Mary, so are they wrong? No I don't think so. Muslums worship Ala, that is their version of God and so on. No one is wrong for who they believe is there God because he takes many forms and it isn't for us to judge people for who they believe their God is because it is different than ours.
I don't believe that it is lying, it's just people believing in a different form of the same God.

There is only one God in only one form. At present the perception of God is merely a metaphor for our yearning to come together as one. We are still a primal species with primal thoughts. The spirituality we have today is merely a function of evolution so that we don't destroy the species. We are not yet 100% spiritual as a species. A time will come when we are and we will realize the one God in one form.

jigs, you are right. i believe that very same thing.

ONE GOD, different names, different ways to worship, but only ONE GOD.

i don't believe the Catholics worship Mary, it seems to me that it's more paying "homage" to the sacred Mother of Jesus.

girlyscout? is that correct? it's not worshiping Mary is it?

the true bottom line of all this is that God wishes us to have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. that's all there is to it.

many people do not understand this, and won't until they have that relationship for themselves. but, that is the ONLY way to heaven & to God himself when he calls you.

Thank you all for your reply to my blog. I now feel that there is only one God, and that people have a twist to how what God and Jesus said and how to interpret what God and Jesus said. Do you all think that God stopped making people after he made mankind? When Jesus talked about the prodigal son was he talking about man? Or was he talking about any father and son? God did not just make man you know, he made Jesus and satin to, interpretation. Think about the word “consumerism.” What do you think I mean by that word? God bless and have a great day, Karl.

Consumerism? Giving money to preachers who say they are closer to God than you. Sumpin' wrong with that picture.

Hey! Can I call you Troll Kid because your name sounds like a curse word... anyways I think your statement is true. Although that preacher would be closer to God in that God is going to be sending him to hell for doing something like that.

Has anyone heard of the Ten Commandments?Whats the first and Second cmmmmandment?( YOUR ANSWER )No offence its not Jesus,Allah or any other deity.
"1. I am the Lord thy God, who brought
thee out of the land of Egypt, out of
the house of slavery.
2. Thou shalt have no other gods before
Me. Thou shalt not make unto
thee a graven image, nor any manner
of likeness, of any thing that is in heaven
above, or that is in the earth beneath,
or that is in the water under the
earth; Thou shalt not bow down unto
them, nor serve them; for I the Lord
thy God am a jealous God, visiting the
iniquity of the fathers upon the children
unto the third and fourth generation
of them that hate Me; And
showing mercy unto the thousandth
generation of them that love Me and
keep My commandments."

John 14:9
there is no way the finite mind of man can ever understand fully the infinte God and Creator of all things. He chose the small band of Abraham & his decendants ( which became Israel ) to reveal to the whole world the One and only True God- man kinds Creator, because man had lost and fallen away from Truth and God his creator & served idols which they made and called it god. all thru man's exixtance he has worshipped something- whether it be the One True God , or idols. man was created to worship God, so to satisfy that longing of worshipping he was created for he bows to worship - but often not God. Jesus said that there is but one way & one way only to the Father- that way is through Jesus. Satan hates God - so since God loves man- Satan will do all he can to keep man from finding the One True God- God loves man... if man finds the One True God he has found the right place and man would now be complete- so satan does his best to decieve man by getting him to satisfy the need to worship by worshipping other things that are not God. thus keeping man from God and keeping man lost in darkness, and keeping God and His Created likeness seperated.
