Why do some people only listen to half of a sentence? The Tiger woods story about where the reporter was talking about how good she thought her friend Tiger Woods was. I would go along with saying that the choice of method to prove the point was not to good. But come on people. You people trying to act like Saints or something? But she said have Tiger beating in an alley Karl. LOL, Are you that stupid? (Of course not) Did you not hear the whole sentence? (Once again the stupid one did not.) A sentence to be a sentence has to have a topic and a noun. The subject here is "how good Tiger Woods is. Not beat Tiger in an alley. I can't believe that people are this STUPID. When you talk do you mind if people only listen to half of what you say? Then why do it here? God bless you all and have a great day, from Karl. :-)

I know that it is wrong to say that a black man should be lynched!

Anyone who thinks its ok to suggest a black man be lynched is a either a racist himself/herself, or is making excuses for racism because they don't want to acknowledge that racism is a real problem in our society and needs to be addressed.

Once again, Gorbash brings race into the picture.

As I detailed in my own blog, "lynching" has been around longer than black people in America. If you want to feel extremely stupid, I should point out that it took place in the Greek and Roman Empires -- long before America was known to exist!

Yes, racism needs to be addressed -- but only when something is racist to begin with. Seems to me that you are exhibiting racist tendencies since you keep focusing in on how it is so "wrong" to say a black man should be lynched.

Again I ask, why does it have to be a black man you shouldn't say that about? Does it make it any more appropriate if you say a white person should be lynched?

Karl -- good point in your post, I'm glad you made this important point too. I just became disgusted when I read that Al Sharpton was sticking his nose into this. Maybe those youth golfers should lynch him too. (relax Gorbash, I'm using this part of speech called SARCASM here.)

"Once again, Gorbash brings race into the picture"-Rjl

This story is ABOUT racism and race. Someone suggested (even if it was jokingly, nothing funny about it) that he be lynched.

Racism is going on right now, because we have people like this suggesting that a black man be lynched- most sane and decent people know that this is wrong.

And now you are accusing people who are against suggesting that black people should be lynched as racist? Outrageous and ridiculous.

Clearly Conservatives do not have good judgment or decency.

No one should be lynched- but to say it about a black man is much worse, becuase racism against black people has a long history in this country- Most people know that- but some Conservatives apparently did not pay attention in history class.

First- there is nothing funny about your "joke"

Secondly- I became disgusted when the person said that a black man should be lynched, that was what was disturbing to me- apparently you hate Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson MORE than you hate the racism that they are trying to fight against.

Perhaps you also came to the defense of Don Imus when he made racist comments about the black college basketball player women?

Maybe you also came to the defense of Mel Gibson when he made anti-semetic remarks when he was arrested for DUI?

Did you also come to the defense of Michael Richards when he called some hecklers the N-Word?

No, Gorbash... you missed the point about a dozen times now. But then again I wouldn't expect someone of your kind to be capable of understanding anyone else's points but your own.

You (and people like you) are the ones focusing on the fact that it was Tiger (who is not 100% black by the way). Let me ask my question a different way since you missed the point originally.

What if they had been talking about Jim Furyk or Phil Mickelson? They are both good golfers and have won their share of tournaments. What if they had been on the receiving end of the comments? Would you have even said a word? No. Would Al Sharpton come into it? No.

I rest my case. This isn't about race until individuals like yourself choose to focus in on the fact that it was Tiger Woods.

"Clearly Conservatives do not have good judgment or decency."

I love when people hide behind political parties and throw politics into a topic which has nothing to do with politics.

First, you have no idea what political viewpoints anyone has based on this topic. Second, if you must know, I do not align myself with either political party because I do not agree with everything either side says or does. Third, it is you who seems incapable of listening to reason because you have your opinion and that is aparently the only one here which can be correct.

I'm done. You can consider this a win if you'd like because I just don't care to argue with you over something your mind obviously cannot grasp.

This isn't a "what if" scenario! This is a case with obvious racist implications, and every rational person can see this.

I can grasp the concept of racism, and how it threatens our society and must be stamped out!

When I see racism, my first question I ask is: How do I destroy it?

Actually, you just proved my point rather well. Had it been someone who wasn't at least partially black, like Tiger, you wouldn't even have cared that "lynch" was used in the conversation. The ONLY reason this whole incident has "racist implications" to you is because a black person was involved.

As for rational people, I think you and only one other person on these blogs (that I have seen) have said this had anything to do with race. Therefore, you must think that 99% of people on MyFoxCleveland are irrational. I'm guessing that is quite the reverse of the truth.

I agree with you - I believe people need to get past race and focus on people as people, not as black people, white people or purple polka-dotted people. But that has nothing to do with this news story.

"When I see racism, my first question I ask is: How do I destroy it?" -Gorbash

Funny thing about racism is that it isn't just white on black. It takes many forms. Equally funny is the folks who see everything as racism, even when race has nothing to do with it.

I noticed you didn't reply in my blog after I gave you a history lesson on "lynching" not being specific against ANY one race. Instead, you came here to this post where Karl has another great point.
