I am so discusted, frustrated and a little scared. Last night my neighbors and I were sitting on our front porch having a beer and bs'ing when 3 teens, 2 boys and 1 girl, with a child came walking down the middle of the street yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs, it  was almost 10pm and my 19month old was sleeping so we asked them to tone it down a little because we had kids sleeping in the house. At that point the one boy stared cussin us out and sayin F that little B***h baby and all types of other crazy stuff, my one neighbor called the police cause the kids went two different directions. A few minutes later 15 boys came from one end and 14 or 15 girls and boys came from the other end of the street, mind you 3 of the girls had babies in strollers and it was almost 11 by then. They all came in front of our house, cops were called again, and started threatening us and throwing garbage cans, 2 of which hit my friend, one in the face and one in the chest, one girl came thru our gate and got in my face, but once she realized she was on my property she backed up and left our yard, They brought huge bricks with them to "bash our heads in", we called the poice 6 more times!!!! and were told by one dispatcher that " they will send the first available car" and when my friend said she had already been assulted twice, what's it gonna take for them to get here, a dead body?and since it was  30 on 3 and two of us were females and have a 19 month old and a 6 month old in the house, she said they'll be there as soon as they can. My friend told her well I hope you sleep well tonight and she replied I will I did my job! Then they started throwing rocks and bricks, which they brought with them, at our house and broke windows. five minutes later the police came creeping down the street without a care in the world. 45 minutes later, they show finally show up,  how ridiculous is that. We asked them if we would have taken action against these kids would we have been charged and they told us yes. So in essence we can't even protect our families and homes from these kids without going to jail ourselves. How is this right?

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...

but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.

I'm writting this from heave. Here I dwell with God above.

Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon, and night.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,

God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

"It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.

I need you here badly; you're a part of my plan.

There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.

And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.

God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years

because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.

But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.

Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.

But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.

I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are so many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;

but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...

that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somevody who's in sorrow and pain,

then you can say to God at night..."My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,

knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,

just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

when you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go...from that body to be free,

remember you're not going....you're coming here with me.

My sincerest and heartfelt condolences go out to the Davis family. Being the mother of a soon to be six month old little girl, this really hit home and brings me to tears everytime I think of it.  Jessie and Chloe are in God's hands now and will always be watching over all of you. God bless and stay strong,

This is a little late for Mother's day but I just found this. I was adopted when I was 13 months old and I knew at a very early age, my parents never hid it from me. I have always been ok with it and was just thankful that I was taken in by two of the most wonderful people you could ever meet. My mother gave me this poem a long time ago and maybe it will help others who have adopted or are adopted.

My mother got this off the Dear Abby page and it was published in 1989; the author is unknown:

LEGACY OF AN ADOPTED CHILD

Once there were two woman who never knew each other, one you do not remember, the other you call mother. Two different lives shaped to make yours one. One became your guiding star, the other became your sun. The first gave you life, and the second taught you to live in it.  The first gave you a need for love, The second was there to give it. One gave you a nationality, the other gave you a name. One gave you the seed of talent, the other gave you an aim. One gave you emotions; The other calmed your fears. One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried your tears. One gave you up- it was all she could do. The other prayed for a child and God let her straight to you. And now you ask me through all your tears, the age old question through the years. Hereditary or environment- which are you the product of?  Neither, my darling- neither, just two different kinds of love.

I just heard they caught the kids who vandalized the church and I am so discusted. Did their parents not teach them that a church is sacraligous? Even if they do not believe in God, you still teach your kids to respect things like that. I hope they relize that God don't like ugly and this is not something to joke with. I think it is really sad that these kids have nothing better to do with their time than ruin Gods home.
