NEW RAPE SCAM!!!!PLEASE READ!!!!!

Please pass on to all your girlfriends, wives, etc. Just to be on the
safe side. Please be aware and pass it on to anyone you think this will
help.
This was passed on to me by a friend:

&g t; Sunday afternoon around 5 PM I headed into the Target in Wheaton , IL
where crime is VERY RARE and mostly it is with bikes being stolen!!

It was still light outside and I parked fairly close to the entrance.
As I got out of my car and began walking towardsTarget, an older lady
shouted to me from the passenger seat of a car about 30 feet away from me.

"Ma'am you must help me, help me please, help me Ma'am!" I looked at
her in the eyes and started to walk towards her when all of a sudden I
remembered an email my Mom had sent me a week or two ago about rapists and
abductions using elder people to lure women in.

I paused, memorized the license plate and immediately headed into
Target to get a manager to come help this lady, just in case something was
up.
While th e woman manager headed out there, I kept a close watch just
because I was curious what was wrong with the lady and wanted to be sure nothing happened.

As the Target lady walked up towards the car and got very close to
the old woman in order to help her, the back door of the car flies open and a
large man with a stocking cap on, jumps out and sticks a gun to the lady's
stomach as he shoves her into the back of the car.

I yelled out "call 911" several times and just as I was saying that,
a policeman who happened to be on the other side of the parking lot! And
who, luckily had seen the entire thing happen, raced over to the car.

He was able to stop the car and arrest the male as well as the old
lady, who was involved in the scheme.

By God's grace everyone was all right, including myself, although I
think we were both shaken up.

Like many of you, I would not in a million years have left an elderly
person who was yelling for help if it weren't for the e-mail I had read
last week. So, I wanted to pass this along so you all can be aware and remember
that you really can't trust anyone these days.

You just never know when something like this could happen. I would
have never dreamed it to happen to me especially on a Sunday afternoon at a
Target in a safe area!

It definitely was not a coincidence that my Mom sent that email just
a few days before this all happened. Please, be careful and always be aware
of ; your surroundings.

Just because you individually don't go over to help someone doesn't
mean you have to leave them in trouble, but don't go ALONE, you really
don't know what might be going on.

I checked with Snopes.com - this is true - and they
Also use children to lure the victim

I just looked at snoops.com and it says it's false as well as another one about using a child pretending to be lost.

As for the story, I would imagine it's physically possible but highly unlikely. Rapists don't usually rape serially, most rapists know their victim.

Hillbilly! Thanks for sharing that info. That is unreal! It used to be things like that happened at night. Not anymore. It is amazing what people would use to lure you into their dark world. They know most people wouldn't walk away from an elderly lady. That is terrible. And like you said, you don't just want to do nothing, but at the same time you can't trust anyone! Like you said, if you think someone is in trouble and needs help, call the police or get someone, and as you said don't do it alone. What a sad world this has become, when you have to be leary about helping an elderly person, because you never know!!

We're not saying not to help them, we are saying just to be careful. I know this doesn't happen all the time, but I think hillbilly was just making a point of what people use as bait to lure you over< for a possible dangerous situation. We are not saying at all not to help the elderly.

This is the reason that having a Conceled Weapon license makes sense. You never know when you could be a victim! Thanks Hillbilly for sharing that.

Thanks hillbilly for posting this. It's sad and scary that we have to always be on alert of our surroundings. What these criminals come up with and to what extent they will go to.

Actually the most Christian thing to do would be to help the old lady even if you knew it was a danger to you.

Thanks hillbilly for making people aware. These things do happen, more often than some people realize. One should never approach a vehicle as in this situation, to give directions, etc. This type of abduction exist and results in rape and murders.
hittokiri_korru, anyone who tries to offer help when they know there is danger isn't very smart. Call 911 and seek the help of a police officer. If the person is really in need of help you will be doing the right thing for everyone involved.

Everyone I forgot to say I recieved this as an e-mail and thought it was interesting to read. I did not check it out on snopes. I just thought it was interesting and never heard this before. Thanks for posting and next time I will say where I got this from. You always cannot be a hero to everything and everyone. Sometimes you gotta watch your back in situtations like this. You gotta use your better judgement.

Well said hillbilly, and you did the right thing!

ricky, get off your soapbox. You claim to be so christian but yet you pass ignorant judgement on everyone. Think again if you think you have a place in heaven with that way of thinking.
