Memorial weekend

I just want to know what everyone is doing for fun on Memorial Weekend! I have an ulterior motive: I'm sick of all the American Idol blogs, so thought I'd replace it with something different. I am going to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens Flower Show, "Rhythm & Hues", to photograph. This flower show is huge and will take me all day to photograph everything. Probably picnic on Monday. Have a great and safe weekend everyone.

I am going to drink some frozen drinks and laugh at all the neighbors that work and have to do there yard work on the weekend.

I have to laugh because I actually did a little yard work today and trimmed my bushes! But, that's it! The rest of the weekend is for fun and relaxation!

Went down to the Rock Hall today to see the display of GuitarMania. Some VERY creative folks out there - the lion one was amazing and so was the one that looked like it was carved out of marble. They're only on display together this weekend - then they will be placed all over the city for the summer. End of summer they are auctioned off for charity.

I AM REMEBERING BOYS THAT I SAW DIE AND FOUGHT WITH IN VIETNAM, REMEMBEING ALL FOUR OF SIX UNCLES WHO FOUGHT IN WW2 BOTH THE EUROPEAN AND ASIA FRONT,,,FLYING OLD GLORY OUT THE FRONT DOOR,,,, HAVEING A NICE MEAL AND THANKING THE GOOD LORD FOR OUR FREEDOMS THAT THE DEMS ARE TRYING EVER SOO HARD TO TAKE AWAY CAUSE THEY ARE IDOITS....I'M PRAYING HARD FOR THE SAFETY OF THE MEN AND BOYS WHO ARE OVER SEAS PROTECTING US FROM FUTURE JERKS WHO THE DEMS ARE BE FRIENDING SOO THEY WON'T BE KILLED IF THEY WIN....THE IDOITS

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day. My son is taking a nap so I thought I would write something quickly. We were at Knollwood Cemetary earlier putting flowers out for our loved ones. beautiful day!

busdriverman - I just asked for fun, what was everyone doing for Memorial Day weekend. Remembering those who gave up there lives for our country is a noble endeavor. But please leave your Democratic-hating comments out of it! I could make comments about Bush and his oil cronies getting us into the war in Iraq, but I didn't. Just wanted to know what everyone was doing for fun. Until some jerk started bashing Dems and trying to tell all his political agenda! And idiot is spelled idiot, not idoit!

Christians should pray for peace, and the succession of violence and conflict, not for war.

Using God and Christianity to promote violence and War is a perversion of the Christian faith and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Its not ok to promote war, it is not ok to use religion to promote violence, and the war in Iraq is wrong!

I responded to your blog with my answer. I then left to take my mother-in-law to the doctor. I just got home. I DID NOT complain to ANYONE about your blog! I believe in free speech and the right to anyone to speak their opinion! Look elsewhere - it was not me!

thank you for the welcome to cleveland. i am not a professional photographer, just a man with a passion for picture taking. i wanted to do it out of high school, but you know how 18yr olds can be. now im 27 and the thought resurfaced and now i wanna do it. wether as a hobby or professionally, or just being able to sell a few photos. i know there are so many photographers out there, and most have the best equipment. i would love to be a part of a photo club. i thought it to be really cool to have 2 of my pics featured on the community blogs page. i live on the west side of cleveland by w117th. yeah it is very difficult to sell photos, my problem is i dont know who to contact to sell them. i wont lie a little help from a veteran photographer like your self would be greatly appriciated!! thanks for taking the time to check out my blog!! hope to hear from u soon!!

I know that some photographers sell a lot of their work to "Stock" companies. These companies gives millions of pictures in their files and sell them to magazines, etc. when a specific picture is needed. Not really familiar with this process, but maybe a camera store like Dodd's would have more info. Or like I said, a Photo Club. I belong to the Southwest Camera Club which meets at the Rocky River Nature Center in the Metroparks. We meet the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month (except for July and August). Our next meeting is the 3rd Monday in September if you're interested. I use to live off of West 117 on Thrush Ave. so I know where you are generally located. If you ever visit the Rocky River Nature Center, we usually have flyers on display for our club with more info and our schedule of meeting dates.
