Don I mus is coming back to radio, I knew it wouldn't take long before he was back on the air. When someone pulls the listeners that he does there is always going to be a company out there willing to pay him big bucks to talk.  What does everyone think about him getting another gig?

Why don't you ask the SPEECH POLICE? You don't deserve freedom of anything. If a Black says or does it, it's fine. Sharpton and Jackson are as dumb as, or dumber than IMUS!!

Great. Now he has another radio show I can ignore.

Good for him, I guess. I wonder when "The Al & Jesse Show" will chime in with their objections.

Personally, I couldn't careless if he got another gig and not surprised...

Freedom of speech has never truly been free, if others do not like what one has said they are equally right protest it...Cuts both ways ask Rosie...

I do feel he comments should not have been directed at some college girls no matter what their skin color...But, shock jock that is what they do, so they themselves should be prepared when others disagree with them...

However major media outlets are backed by major companies that doesn't want to aligned themselves with certain topics and comments, Imus lost his job because the advertisers backed out...I guess money speaks louder than words.

I never did think he was racist, however even if he is that is nothing new or different.

I knew he'd be back, controversy equals ratings, ratings equal money and when you come down to it, that's what it's all about.

People are always going to be ignorant, you can't change that because unfortunately you live in an world that is not perfect. And ignorance abounds.

That's why the make a button to turn it off.

Imus made some trully racist comments, and it isn't surprising to me that Republicans are trying to turn him into some kind of "victim".

This isn't about Freedom of Speech, its about racism, and those who defended Imus was defending racism.

Imus can make all the racist comments he wants, on his own airwaves, but not on the public airwaves, which is controlled by the public.

Just curious because I have not seen any of the republicans sticking up for Imus and making him into a victim. Where did you see that news report?

Looneysinger is one Conservative who is attacking Sharpton and Jackson, instead of Imus, who is the real villain in the situation. The Right Wing News Media types like Gibson, Hannity, O'Reilly, and the like tried to turn a moment about race relations and racism, into somehow sticking up for "freedom of speech" and about "showboating" of civil rights leaders, a common thread of those types.

I think alot of people both conservative and not think Sharpton and Jackson are racist. I think Imus is exactly as advertised a shock jock. I don't think he is a rasist or a villian. I also think Jackson and Sharpton do more harm for the blacks then good.

Gamer173:

Happy New Year guy! I know it's been almost 6 months since anyone responded to this blog, but I can say this about Imus' return to radio: It had nothing to do with either Republicans or Democrats. I saw what Gorbash wrote, and he seems to like attacking everyone who doesn't agree with his views. I work in radio, and I know 100 percent that it was strictly a business decision that the media company made to bring Don Imus back. The company that hired Don Imus is probably going to keep him on a leash for quite a while to make sure nothing goes into the sewer...only time will tell if he stays in radio for many years to come. And you are correct about Jackson and Sharpton...they both know how to shoot their mouth off. And neither of them are true Reverends; there are news stories on how they got ordained...not the way most preachers get their licenses to preach!
