Where is the maple fest held? If it's this weekend I probably will not beable to amke it. My son has a wrestling tournamnet in Stow tomorrow. Last one befroe we go to state next week!!
The maple fest sounds a lot like the fish festival we have out here. A lot of fun!!!

lol thats OK sometimes my fingers move faster then my brain!!! The Maple Fest in in Chardon! Right on the Square! From what I remember of it, its a great time!!! It starts next thursday!! thru sunday! I hope you can make it.

Is this anything like the Burton Maple Festival? It's too late for real Maple, Last two weeks in Feb. is the prime, and the first run is the best, my dad & I used to boil the sap and collect sap, so I think this is just a money thing!! Cold nights and warm sunny days, that makes the sap run real good and the syurp will be sweeter. Don't fall off or get hurt on any of those fly-by-nite rides people!!

Burton doesn't have a Maple Festival, they have an Apple Butter festival in the fall. Chardon's Maple Festival has been going on for many, many years. I used to attend as a child and still go every year. I am 60 now so I take the Grandkids. And yes, the syrup is best in Feb and March. The syrup sold will be from those runs. Yes, it is a money thing, but it also is a showcase for the BEST MAPLE SYRUP in the country.

Burton was trying to take over the Maple Festival a few years back because Chardon went 6 years without a profit..but Chardon decided they were gonna continue to have it on the square..whicg they really do need a new location (in Chardon). The square is just too small. It is a great time. Mainly for smaller kids or people who like the fair food...yummm! If you want great..real maple syrup that's the place to be. My husband and I are taking our boys on Saturday when it's somewhat warm...lol. Last year we went on Thursday and then Friday they cancelled it because of a snow storm and rescheduled it for the following weekend. We all froze..but we went back the following week and had a blast!! Have fun all and rememver the bathtub race :)
