Ah. Thank you for asking, and thinking of me. UGH!!!!! It's not. I took that Chantix for about a week and had to stop. The meds. gave me very vivid dreams every night. I didn't get any sleep, and I became very aggitated. I don't know if it was because of the pills, lack of sleep or both. It's very aggravating. I guess smoking is my crutch in life. But I know it's something I have to do. All I know is I'm just going to have to do it cold turkey. All that stuff messes me up. Why do you have to quit all your stuff?

They thought I had Cancer on my Vocal Cords! Right now it is just noduals. They will check them in 3 months! I told the Doc that I will slow down on Smoking but I can not promise him I will Quit!! I have been Clean & Sober for 14 years I Cried when they told me no more Caffiene! I am allowed 1 can of coke A day to help with the Migraines & tension Headaches. BUT THAT IS ALL I AM ALLOWED! I MISS MY COFFEE!! My husband Quit cold Turkey stayed in bed for a week! BUT HE DID IT! He has told me that he will take a week off if I want to try! I Am just not ready!

Thats what my husband says! Yet It may sound wrong but how do you get rid of an old FRIEND! I LOVE MY SMOKES! I STOPPED THE OTHER BAD I LIKE MY HABIT! SORRY

Wow, my heart is with all of you. It took me over a year, A YEAR to quit. I'd quit by cutting down and then something would happen and Id be right back where I was. I tried the rationing method--well, that would just make me bum a smoke from someone else. I almost gave up and then went cold turkey. I had to distance myself from other smokers for a while. My boyfriend at the time smoked and I made him go in the garage or outside to smoke. I was cranky, mean, had headaches daily. But it passed. Just don't give up--when you go cold turkey, just keep thinking about the end result. Take it day by day. Let your loved one's & coworkers know that you're going thru withdrawal. They'll all be supportive and in no time at all you'll be successful. Good luck!

My supervisor at work did some kind of laser treatment for quitting and it worked for him. He was a very heavy smoker and he has been smoke free for 4 months. Insurance would not pay for it (which is absurd) it cost $240 dollars but he said it was well worth it. Any way you might want to try that. Good luck. I am going to try Chantix and if that doesnt work I am going to try the laser deal.
