Everyone is up in arms about drugs & drinking. However How well do you know your kids?
I have a 12 year old! I know him very well I also know that his Dad has been Sober for 16 years 17 in April I have been for 14.
My son started going to AA meeting at 3 days old!
He was called the AA Kid for a long time.
I am proud to say we have talked about every part of drinking & drugs he knows the HELL that is out there waiting for him & his friends. My husband Is NORMAL he can drink a beer (I hated beer) My son Is afraid of it like he should be When I was his age I was told I was going to learn how to drink like a Lady!
I DID I COULD POUND SOME DRINKS I COULD OUT DRINK EVERYONE I KNEW! I took it to far was not told of the problems it could cause! I guess my parents wonted it to be up to the School!
& IT IS NOT THERE JOB TO POLICE OUR KIDS!!!!!
I am sure at some point my kids will try to have a beer & I will be there holding there hair! & I will not make them go to treatment or AA over one or two times now tell me they are doing COKE & we HAVE A PROB.
My son & I have talked that even 1 drink is too many to beable to drive. hopefully with all our talks they are on going to sink in!!!
BUT KEEP THE SCHOOL OUT! If there is a prob. CALL ME!!!

Well, you're one of the few who actually had kids and intends to raise them yourself instead of most parents I've seen nowadays! Good for you!

The only reason I see the school having to take these measures is because too many parents are not doing it themselves. This obviously is a problem in the schools or they wouldn't be doing anything concerning this matter. I think there's too much hoopla regarding childrens rights. Doesn't rights come with responsibility? How do children get one half and not the other? Children get the rights, parents are stuck with the responsibility. If you want both than you have to except both. These problems are stemming from some major lack of parenting, and social decline. I don't see this changing either. So all I can say is "best of wishes out there for the parents that actually do try. You're gonna need it!"

The people having Kids need to step up!!!
& if theu dont let the GOV. Deal with it why should I be punished! I still believe they need to bring God Back If you do not believe then think of it as Good Orderly Direction any way you put it these Kids NEED HELP!!!!

You're right, but then you are a responsible parent.

There are lots of parents out there that don't want to (or don't know how to) act like parents. Their kid turns 13 and they think they don't need to parent anymore OR they don't want the grief of arguing with their kids. That's why this is happening.

I Know & agree totally with you on that People need to get a licence to have SEX!!!

I am married with 4 Awsome kids Ages 12, 6, 5, & 3.we have two Lazy dogs.They are 3. There mom was A Golden & Dad was a Collie. They are my Babys!!!!!
