Simple statement:

WHAT WAS DR. EUGENE SANDERS THINKING TODAY OPENING THE SCHOOLS WHEN KIDS WERE FORCED TO WALK IN THE STREETS BECAUSE NOT ALL SIDEWALKS WERE NOT SHOVLED OR PLOWED WITH A SNOWBLOWER.  WHAT A TRAVESTY.

Now, not all can be blamed on him for his past 4 calls on closing the schools but CLEAR ROADS DOES NOT MEAN CLEAR SIDEWALKS!

I realize that it was difficult to get to school. But I feel if the parents were that concerned they could take their child to school. If they have to work than I would suggest to go in late. After all what's more important? To me it's very important not to close the schools unless totally necesary. They don't close down a job because of snow. School is just as important.
