This is another joke. Global Warming has been proven and the government of these United States are going to perfom another "tap dance" around the issue. It starts at the top and our current President, George Bush.

Instead of concentrating all his priorites on Iraq, he needs to worry about the domestic policy. This is now coming to his mind, 6 years too late.

Just imagine. You can actually save monies by investing in energy saving appliances and light bulbs. Also, during the day, you can turn off your lights when the sun is out.

Until next time/gb

First of all, the report on Global Warming that just came out pretty much said there's nothing we can do to stop it. It claims that even if we reduce greenhouse gasses, it's still too late. This problem started long before George Bush took office so to pin it on him is just ignorant. This began during the Industrial Revolution. Second, the report varied from it's original report claiming it was worse a couple years ago. What are you claiming we should do? Shut down our economy?

I do believe that this problem started way before Bush and this is not completly his fault. What I have a problem with is just like all the other Presidents they ignored it. We have all contributed to global warming. It is not just one person's fault.

I do not believe that there is nothing we can do though. I think that if we start to use energy saving things. Like hybrid buses and cars, lightbulbs, recycle, don't litter. Pretty much do everything our elementary school teachers taught us.

Global warming is a very serious issue that I don't think has been taken very seriously. The government doesn't talk about it so most people don't even realize it is happening.

I don't believe the article that was just released at all. I think it is a way for people to just accept it which I think is terrible. I will always try my best to take care of this Earth but it is just sad that many people don't feel the same way.

I think if we are able to use energy saving products it would help a lot. The thing is most are very expensive. We need to get prices down so everyone can afford it.

I posted this before but I will again everyone needs to see AN INCONVIENENT TRUTH. This is a great but kind of scary movie and it explains a lot. After you see it you will have a different view on what might happen in the next 50 years. To all those people out there who won't be here 50 years from now...I will be and my kids and grandkids will be.

I think this is one issue that this country can come together on.

The only problem with hybrid buses and cars is they're not cheap. Unfortunately not everyone an afford them.

That is what I said. We need to get the prices down so everyone can afford them.

That probably will never happen because once that happens we won't need as much oil and no oil means no money for Bush and Cheney.

So I guess we will have to wait a year to see what the new President will do.

One of the biggest problems with Global warming is the fact that the US could shut down and all live in grass huts, and that will not stop the rest of the world from destroying the ozone. Even though we are putting in some effert to do things concerning this matter. Like everything else we are pretty much alone. No country will do what's really needed. They would basically have to shut down.

It's always going to be about Bush and Cheney never mind the other BLEEP that should be held responsible. We might as well forget the war this country's so divided we'll be responsible for our own demise and not because of one man.

The United States is behind most of the world when it comes to greenhouse gases. We are one of the few countries that has yet to ratify the Kyoto Agreement. What is the Kyoto agreement? For those that don't know..

The Kyoto Protocol is an agreement made under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Countries that ratify this protocol commit to reduce their emissions of carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases, or engage in emissions trading if they maintain or increase emissions of these gases.

The Kyoto Protocol now covers more than 160 countries globally and over 55% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

The United States has signed this agreement, but at this time has no intention of ratifying it.

So all I can say is, lets not wait for our government to do something to make our planet safer. Every individual can and should do what they can to help. And there are many many ways each person can help cut greenhouse emissions without spending a lot of money.

Websites I would recommend to learn more are...

http://www.stopglobalwarming.org/default.asp
http://www.fightglobalwarming.com/index.cfm

These are just a couple, but you can find many more if you look. As I said, every person could help just a little, and if every person did a little, it would add up to a lot.

Rock27 I agree with you. We make the change. Each of us is responsible for their home to start. Unplug those phone chargers when not in use. Also the electric toothbrushes. Changing the bulbs not only helps but does save us money. Every little bit helps and it does add up. We cant change the effect that has happened but we can slow down the future effects. The web site is a great one and I too suggest all should check it out. Come on everyone lets do our part and show others by our examples.
