The violence in cleveland is getting ridiculous!!! Not only are we the poorest city i guess thats not enough, now we have to be one of the most dangerous cities!!! All these young children being murdered by other young chidren. I have a 5 year old daughter and it breaks my heart to know i have to raise her in this society! So far I think im doing a pretty goo job of raising her because i try to teach her right from wrong , whats good and whats bad, whats fair whats not fair. I don't think everyone is doing this with there children, if they were maybe we wouldnt have 13 year old boys stealing cars and killing people!!! I know there is alot of peer preesure in the world and alot of kids fall victim to getting envolved with the wrong crowd, but please everyone can we just start to try talking to our children more and find out whats going on in their lives, maybe you can stop 1 vilolent act!! I love cleveland lived here all my life but I am strongly considering relocating, not that its not violence everywhere but im going to try my hardest to find the best place to raise my daughter!!!!!!!

Is that supposed to make Clevelanders feel BETTER?! Saying that we're better than Newark is like comparing two buildings that both need a severe case of TLC. If your building is in more disrepair than mine, am I living the good life?
If the local government would instead compare Cleveland to similar MORE successful cities, perhaps they would get a clue as to how to start fixing some of the problems here.

there are still some places further south that still teach children old family values. i visited south last year and i had 13 & 14 year old children calling me mam. they say no mam, and yes mam. thats what im talking about respect. they respect their elders and we need to teach our children better we're leaving it up to the streets to raise them or the schools. and the schools don't do anything but suggest you put your children on drugs to help make their jobs easier, but thats a topic for another blog

Do you think its possible that people in power want cleveland to fail to lower the property value? I met a 15 year old boy who has military guns and grenades. He says that a suburban man drives around the east side and sells destructive weapons for low prices to kids like a "gun Ice cream truck". And this citys zoning laws that allow liquor stores to go up everywhere in the black community doesn't help either. And on top of that many young Blacks have rappers as their role-models that only talk about having sex and selling drugs, what did they expect was going to happen?

take alook at where we live. i live in garfield hts. that is not the greatest cleveland has really go down low. we have no jobs to work. all jobs are moving overseas for cheaper labor or to other cities. also, downsizing jobs. like the one i had that cut our pay that we started over. after being at 10.00 per hour. i got payed 7.00 per hour and that is the work they got from me. we have these 30 year old young men that come in a shirt and tie and think they have all the answers. i am glad i left that scene.

I am a mother of 1 daughter 5 years old. Pretty much my life consist of working and trying to provide a stable loving home for my daughter.Protecting her is my main focus in life! I pretty much get along with everyone i come in contact with. I respect people as long as they respect me and i respect other opinions no matter how much i disagree.
