December reminds me of the Arab mare I use to have. She was a sweety.

quarry - geldings are easier to handle than studs LOL

A friend of mine once had an Appaloosa, and was very fond of it. He lived in downtown Willoughby, so he had to keep it at a friend's home and yard in Kirtland.

I love Arabs, Morgans and of course a good ole' paint.
My husband likes Rocky Mountain horses.
Haflingers are pretty cool looking too.

I have to say Arabs are not one of my favorites, my all-time favorite is the Appy (of which I've had two) then Morgan, then Quarterhorse (of which I've also had two)...all three are solidly built endurance horses even tho the appaloosa started off as a color...as did paints, pintos and palominos

aahhh gyro, I didn't mean no offense hon :)
Arabs are beautiful & they too are good for endurance (long hot deserts rides are not easy!) but I like the conformation of the others I meantioned a little better than that of Arabs...as for "flighty" I used to work out a quarterhorse named Duke for his owner & this horse LITERALLY spooked at his own shadow every time anyone rode him!!! it was tense riding him on sunny days hehehehe

From what I understand Arabs are like snooty women, But I can say the one we owned was different, maybe because we showed her Love, and Gyro brought her health back, I find it amazing how horses pick up on emotions, and they seem to rememder who treats them good and who treats them bad.

BTW the horse in dprin's avatar is the type of horse I like, the white mane is what catches my eye, go ahead and say it "white mane on a horse and blond women"

I have only been on three horses, our arab, a quarterhorse, and a Thoroughbred, I liked the race horse, It seemed to be more responsive to my commands, I am not by any means an experianced rider.
