Volunteer for something. Many organizations need volunteers. And if you volunteer for something you are interested in, chances are you will meet someone with the same interests.

Absolutly...get invloved in activities. Dprin, you took the words out of my mouth, go to church. For the most part you will find nice, mature woman there, not like in bars.

dave,i am always told (my men)that a grocery store is a good place to meet woman,(now i didnt say it worked) i can say from experience that a bar,disco,etc... is not the place to meet someone if ur looking for a "stable reltionship,or as was said join churc or some other volunteer work

I wish I could delete this blog. It's getting to be the private forum for silly stuff. My question was to help my son. I've given up looking for someone. My overweight, diabetes, sleep apnea and other health problems are too much to ask anyone to put up with and I am over suspicious of anyone who would be willing to. Goofy I know. Plus I am near the end of my journey I think, and fear what would happen if I did find someone who managed to outlive me? What would she expect? What is fair? Difficult questions. My son has Cerebral Palsy and this gets in the way of dating and finding someone willing to make a commitment. It is sad.
I think the advice about meeting in church or activities, like clubs and other special intersts is the best. As to the silly stuff, well, mostly from Rickyw; he is pretending to be a Southpark character. A made up cartoon with no substance. To people like this I say, be yourself instead. Be genuine, truthfull, open and above all, serious. Get away from the tv, cartoons, and all that. Go out and meet some real people. Life is a gift, earn it!

con't i have two children,and their stepsister is devlopmently delayed, they have been with her from the time she was young, i am so very proud of my kids,cuz now when they see someone out in public "with problems" they understand,and they get along very well with my cousmers i work with, hang in there david,dont the the "ricky;s of this world discourage you,or your son" his comments just goes to show how out of touch he is

lost...do you notice my postings are not there anymore...i wasnt harsh...i saw trash and responded with trash...people who delete comments arent even human...if you think differently...then neither are you

What I complain about when wishing to delete my posting, though I can delete these, is the silly foolish and sometimes negative replies I get. I know there are idiots in the world and goodness knows I have been one once in a while, but it is annoying to hear from them never the less. Not much more to say.
