Our government is giving money to failing companies but still, Americans are losing their jobs. It would seems logical to me, that if they are getting bailout packages from our government to help out America during these time it would only make sence that our government would require that any additional cuts in personal should come from their over seas factories first.
Also since the trouble in India where are we getting our technical support from?
Let's bring our companies home America!!!!!!!

It's a sad day in our great nation when what use to be shameful has become a trend. But this Bailout subject is the ultimate (Bending over) of the American Tax Payer. As a Tax Payer I'm insulted, appalled, and just damn pissed. When I don't pay my bills, they simply shut off my service and give me a bad mark on my credit. Then when I apply for a loan, buy a car or home, my inability to manage my finances become justification to charge me an outrageous interest rate. Now these same companies (Banks, Automobile manufacturers, etc) have lived lavish lifestyles and squandered their money are BEGGING. Everday a new entity is asking for a bailout. Enough is enough, I say either budget or sink. Sell your Hummers, Summer homes, Yatchs, lodges, etc. and come back to reality. As a Tax Paying American I'm tired of being robbed by these companies. I say No one should receive a Bailout, instead they should receive Budgeting classes.

I am sick of hearing how govt should bail out all of the banks, now the car companies, and now schools ( who would be most deserving) want to get their piece, well what about ME and the rest of hard working americans who are the ones who make this economy run. If we dont have money, we cannot take out loans or save for cars, homes etc to help out banks or car manufacturers. If govt gave gave taxpayers 100,000+ each, ( or what ever the equivelent to what they are throwing to the banks and manufacturers) and then we could pay off homes, get out of debt and then have $$ to spend buying cars etc thus boosting the economy. Right now we are just throwing good money after bad, giving it to institutions who obviously cannot manage their money properly. Give us a chance!!!

Last night I attended a board meeting for the Parma City Schools regarding the closing of three elementary schools and consolidating the School District. Although it is unfortunate that these schools have to close, it financially makes sense. I've been to numerous board meetings, prior to an issue being on the ballot for an upcoming levy, and residents have voiced their concerns about not giving the district any additional money because there are other ways in which the school district can alocate funds, and ultimately the levies fail.
So know you have a district, which is lead by a intellegent superintendent, that goes back to the drawing board to find a solution that works (because voters refuse to pass levies), and yet there is still an outcry against it. So the levy won't pass and "Option A" is being challanges as well. People need to make a decision. Pass the levy or close the schools. I'm sure the kids will be fine.
And one last thing in closing. When a board member is under investigation for corruption, I really don't think his "opinion" on how a school district should be ran or managed should really matter.

Hi Why can't the Oil industry bailout GM, Ford and Chrysler. Seems like they need each other. If you don't have oil you can't drive and if you drive you can't go without oil. Why should it be dumped on the backs of tax payers?

Thanks to all of you who came out for the annual Larchmere Holiday Stroll and Shaker Square Holiday tree lighting on Saturday evening.
Wayne and I were thrilled to host the event again this year. I don't know who was more excited... us or our kids! They were able to help us light the holiday display. And they were eagerly awaiting Santa's "First Class Arrival".... on a vintage Firetruck!
We were so happy to see all the people come out and help us celebrate the start to the holiday season!
A big thank you to all the area restaurants and businesses who held special events that day - it was a great time to be at the square... beautiful Shaker Square... a true treasure in Cleveland!
Here are some photos from Saturday!
3...2...1..... and the lights were turned on!

A family photo with the Jolly man himself... and his very thin and young Mrs. Claus!
