well, once again we were on the edge of our seats watching the browns lose in the 4th quarter. now i have been listening to some of the callers on tv, and have read some of the blogs and reviews of the game. the fans are saying we suck we suck. ok i personaly dont think we suck. we have to remember that derrick anderson has only started 5 nfl games, and last week in cinci was a fluke. did we really expect them to come out and score 51 points again. come on. yeah our secondary is horrible right now. anderson had missed some wide open recievers and made some poor decisions. but if it wasnt for anderson, there wouldnt have been a drive at the end of the game. he put the browns in the position to win, which is all any browns fan could have asked for. dawson made the field goal before the timeout. oakland was just doing what they had done to them in the previous week against denver. unfortuantly it worked. if you look back in this game and look, we really didnt play horrible, yeah the first half wasnt pretty. but we were still in the game at half time. people have to relize that the browns had the game won. you can see that the talent is here and the offensive line is much much better than it has been in years. the oakland game wasnt a blow out, and was a nail biter. it was very hard to watch the end of the game. the fans need to ask themselves, would i rather lose by 27 and look like school girls, like we did against the steelers. or lose by 2 in a very close game and show that we can compete in games. we have to give the browns more of a chance than just the 1st three games. if you can honestly sit there and tell me that this team hasnt improved since last year, your crazy. there is 16 games in a season, and we are 1-2. lets give anderson till game 6 or 7 to prove why he should be the starter. remember he has only started in 2 of our 3 games. the fans need to stop being "browns fans" for a second, and relize that this team has talent. for crying out loud chris berman even said it last night on sportscenter. go browns, and congrats to our tribe!! lets bring home a championship this october!!!

Well here we go. it has finally happened to where every major sport in the usa has a serious problem. all 3 commisioners have no clue what to do. commisioner of basball doesnt want barry bond to break hank aarons record. in my opinion he thinks the record will be tainted because of the "steriod" use bonds so openly denies using. come on barry, its obvious that you and a few dozen other ball players used. bud selig is torn on whether or not he wants to be at the game when bonds breaks the record. i cant say i blame him. to me bonds will never be the homerun king, cause of the steriod scandal surronding him. did he or did he not use during his"glory years" of the 70 homeruns!!now for basketball. the league commisioner david stern has no idea what to say about the referee betting and aiding the outcomes of certain games in the past few years. to me this is an open and shut case. it obivious that the ref had influence in decisions in certain games he officiated. some of the fouls he would call where absolutely crazy. he kicked out the knicks head coach after only 2 mintues into a game. he had influence on this years playoffs during the suns vs. spurs matchup.  his technical fouls he would call were out of hand. yes this can tarnish this sport if not handled fast. my issue with this is will this ref really get the full extent of his punishment he deserves. think cleveland, did he do this during any of the cavs games this year? now brings me to the whole michael vick story. i wanna first say that the dog fighting thing is sick and twisted!! no animal should be put into a ring and made to fight for money. as far as the falcons saying vick was suspended from training camp, is great!!! i am glad they will not let him there. roger goodill should suspend him from games as well. i know i know, innocent until proven guilty. but does the nfl really want this man taking the field on opening day of the season with this kind of crime hanging over its head. i doubt it. the dog fighting was on his property, he was present at the times, and also has been pointed to as the one that has killed the dogs by electricution and beating them to death. of course he is going to deny it, he wants to save face in the world. i hope michael vick is found guilty and goes straight to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200. come on commissioners of major sports, step up and do your jobs. if anyone of us "regular people" made any of these crimes, we would be thrown in jail no questions asked. lets get all 3 of these issues settled quickly and lets get back to what sports is all about. competition, and the excitement of the sports we love. not scandals and crimes.

well pronk stays for 4 more years for $57 million. to be honest im not completely sure about the deal. he has to show more aggression at the plate than he has so far this season. a 4 year $57 million deal for our DH seems like a little exesive. but, its good to see the dolans spending the money to keep the talent they have. the indians are trying to stay on the right track which is nice.  i really just hope his bat picks up this season, he's hitting .303 in july so far, but it is only the 12th of july with the all-star break. if he can be the pronk of past years we can take the american league central title. now we need to work on keeping C.C. as well.  As far as andy and the cavs go, i can understand him talking with other teams. he is just trying to get a starting job and more $$. honestly he deserves more money, and i hope the cavs can come up with a # for him to be able to stay. in my opinion, if your on a team that just made it to the nba finals for the 1st time in franchise history, and they have lebron james, who would wanna leave. i dont wanna see andy leave, but you cant blame him for looking. He can easily become a starter on a struggling, or a .500 team, and may make a difference. if the cavs can dump larry hughes and start gibson, andy could become one of, or the best 6th men in the league. lets just hope the cavs can make offers to players that can bring other talent here, so we can be competitive for years to come. like i have said before cleveland sports is finally getting back on the professional sports map. even the browns have made the right moves in the right direction. we have to remember with the browns, we are just fixing all the screw up's from the "butch davis era"  i have been a diehard cleveland sports fan all 27 years of my life, and i feel we will bring home a championship with in the next 5 years. just remember you "fair weather fans" the true fans never jump off the wagon. better jump back on now before they win a championship!! We have been this patient thus far thru the years. bear with our teams, they are all looking in the right direction!! GO CLEVELAND SPORTS!!

OK, YEAH DETROIT WILL BE TOUGH TO GET THRU THE REST OF THE SEASON WITH. BUT LIKE BOSTON, SEATTLE, ANAHIEM, OAKLAND, AND EVEN AT A STRETCH THE YANKEES, HAVE ALL BEEN BEATEN BY THE TRIBE. GRADY, MARTINEZ, AND BLAKE HAVE BEEN ON A TEAR THIS SEASON. C.C. AND CARMONA HAVE PITCHED GREAT SO FAR IN THE FIRST HALF. WITH BOROWSKI SAVING GAMES, WE SHOULD BE SUPPORTING THEM A WHOLE LOT MORE. WE MAY NOT HAVE ALOT OF POWER IN THE LINEUP, BUT THIS TEAM FEELS LIKE THE ONES WE ALL WATCHED AND LOVED IN '95 AND '97. THE 9TH INNING RALLEYS, THE EXPLOSIVE ATTITUDE THEY HAVE. THEY HAVE THE SAME SPARK AND DETERMINATION TO MAKE IT FAR IN THE PLAYOFFS. CLEVELAND, GET READY CAUSE NOT ONLY DID WE HAVE THE CAVS TO CHEER FOR IN THE NBA FINALS IN MAY, BUT WE WILL HAVE THE INDIANS TO CHEER FOR IN OCTOBER AS WELL. I am Larry, and i live on the westside of cleveland. i grew up in a small town called jefferson, in ashtabula county. its about 60 miles east of cleveland straight down rt 90. i have lived in jefferson, kent, stow, and now cleveland. Jefferson is such a small town, it only has 5 street lights, 2 of which our at the schools on opposite sides of the town. i like living in cleveland, but sometimes it can be a little to fast paced for me.
