Everyone reading this post, please understand that this government has abandoned all the principals that this country was built upon!  How much more are many of U going to take this sort of treatment, people are working 2 to 3 jobs to make ends meet, we have a unjust War going on in the Middle East that is costing You, I and your children and my nephews their financial future.  Gas prices are through the roof, and when Clinton left office, gas was 91 cents a gallon........FACT!  These schools continue to want more $$$$ every year with either a new mills levy or operating levy........PEOPLE WAKE UP!  Michigan and Ohio are leading the nation in Foreclousures.  The schools want more $$$$$$$ but these systems continue to allow many of these same teachers to have sexual relations with their students by hiding what is going on!  On May 8th, vote all school levies and operating levies DOWN, tell this poor excuse of a Government that you will not take anymore.  They can send all our $$$$ over to Iraq to rebuild their schools, their buildings and infastructure that we destroyed unjustly and that we continue to blow up these same buildings so that we can continue to ship supplies overseas and make our economy move upward.  Do you know that if we brought our troops home right now, that our steel industry would collapse, our Gross National Product would take a nose dive and where are you going to put 160,000 military personnel to work.  Thats why  Bush will not bring home any troops until he his out of office, believe me......those troops will stay there and any Democratic Candidate will win the Presidency in 2008!  Everyone reading this Blog, Please vote all levies down on May 8th, ask yourself, what have you been getting for your $$$$ for the last 6 1/2 years.........thats EASY, YOU, I AND OUR FAMILIES HAVE BEEN TAKEN!  I COULD GO ON ALL NIGHT AND EXPLAIN THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE YOU VERY ANGRY ON WHAT IS GOING ON!

Everytime voting time comes around I vote no on almost anything that has to do with more money. But to my surprise these new taxes seem to pass almost all the time. Obviously I must be in the minority. One thing that really annoys me with out a doubt is the fact that a non home owner is aloud to vote for school taxes even though they will not be footing the bill. Of course they will be voting yes for the new levies.

I have always said that it was unfair that citizens who do not own homes can continuously vote for increases in property taxes. I just heard on the news today that some county is going to try and finance schools with increases in sales tax, so that the home owner is not always stuck with bill. It will be interesting to see if that works.

I would totally agree with that. Let everyone foot the bill. Also if people who have children that are grown want to complain. They can just remember when there children were in school there were people just like them then.

Um, maybe you forget that gas was around $2.00 a gallon in the summmers of '99 & 2000, when Clinton was still in office. At the time those were all-time highs. FACT!!
I do agree that we're constantly getting the "one-two" punch with all the levies though. I'm not so sure the Dems will take the Presidency, unless they move much closer to the middle than to the fringe left.
