I just spent a prolonged period time reading from one of the message boards about this topic and Lethal Injection and as I started to digest the views of others out there I wanted to respond. But, unfortunately by the time I finished my comments the computer could no longer tell where to post. What do you think about using lethal injection, Capital Punishment or the Prison System in general?

I have to say that this topic is one that leaves me really torn. If you have ever seen the movies The Green Mile or Dead Man Walking you have to have some empathy for the psychologist, officers and executioners than must deal first hand with the murderers. I do not believe that a person convicted of a social crime such as rape, murder, incest, etc.  should ever be allowed a moments liberty throughout the course of their incarceration. They should be locked in solitary confinement and only allowed out long enough to complete their daily job (consequentially any financial accumulation should be surrendered to the family of the victims). These criminals should be forced to work and be locked away from the rest of the population, as they have already proven that they do not play well with others. If we must remove them from society, make them miserable and give them opportunity to let their conscience kill them. Anyone totally secluded from the rest of the world will eventually consume themselves.  And denying a person any positive human contact is precisely what they have done to their victims.
