I stand by the judges decision to sentence the young man charged with the beating of the  attorney. I feel that this man knew what he was doing. He participated with five other guys,in beating this man until he was almost near death. Twenty-Five years is a lot of time to spend in prison some would say, and some have been saying. I believe that the judge has a right to give his opinion on the case. I believe the raising of these young women and men should fall back on the fathers and mothers. If you raise your child to do right and be the best that he or she can be, you are helping our society for generations to come.

Doing his ruling the judge stated that people should not have children if they can't provide for them and give them what they need. Having a family that can support a child is the best thing for the child not just financially. Supporting them can come in many forms. Give them goals to set for themselves. Let them know with hard work and determination you can become anything in this world. A lawyer, Doctor, Teacher, Nurse. Knowledge is power!!!

Education can offer you so much more than any drug dealer can offer you on the street.

This Judge did the right thing. Now we hear that his STATEMENTS might be grounds for RETRIAL? I think the Jury made a mistake, the Prosecutor was derelict in his duties and this Thug will NEVER do Twenty Five years! Why did the Prosecuting Atty. not get the Gov. to declare this a HATE CRIME? OH, I forgot, he was only a WHITE GUY. If this had been reversed, all hell would have broken out. Ohio and the Nation had best wake up. Gangs will Rule, and none of you can see it coming.

"People shouldn't have children if they can't provide for them and teach them right from wrong" - GOOD LUCK WITH THAT ONE!
Now, I'm being sarcastic, but I am so sick of human beings who have no regard for human life because they have been taught NOTHING by their parent/parents! No scruples, No morals, No respect for life, No common courtesy, no answering to a Higher Authority, etc., etc., etc.

lareed: "Education can offer you so much more than any drug dealer can offer you on the street. " most definitely............i agree wholeheartedly.

but, how do you get these parents that don't bother to parent to teach their kids this? how to teach a kid this when their parent is a drug dealer/user?

you can't. i agree with this judge, and you too girlyscout.............gets the britches in a twist to think about the thousands of kids brought into this world by people who don't want to be bothered to parent........

Parenting classes should be required for any one having a child. Father and Mother. Wilson will only do 7 years.

skorpo, for some strange reason that most intelligent people will NEVER understand, there are people in this world that will see this CRIMINAL as some sort of victim. it's sick!

that's where all the wah wah wah stuff comes from........

The guy is a criminal, no doubt. He is in no way aa victim, but like in everything else, you have to watch what you say, being a judge and all. now a days you have to come correct.

This case is a good example of why parents need to be held accountable for raising there kids. When a child is created on this earth it should be required by LAW that both parents be accountable for that childs upbringing. I get so tired of these sorry parents that choose everything else over there children and then when there children become disrespectful to them, the parents have the audasity to say " I did my best" No you didn't do your best. You were busy chasing; Men, or Women, Money, or Drugs. And I'm not just talking about the poor either. This problem transcends all lines.

you are soooooooo right again water.....i will NEVER understand people who choose things above their children.

children are a gift from God that not everyone gets...........and there is nothing in this world more important than being the best parent one can be! (second only to God)

dprin.."children are a gift from God that not everyone gets" the sad part of that statement is that not everyone gets that gift and they are the one's who truly want it. The one's who shouldn't be getting that gift are these 12, 13, 14 yrs old as well as the girls who keep having kids back to back and have 5 or 6 kids by the time their 21! Hello, where's mom and dad while all this is happening, no one even took the time to teach these girls about birth control let alone self respect!
I couldn't have agreed with the judge more during his sentancing. Wilson really though he could lie his way out. He tried to make a this horrible situation into a big joke, he deserves the full 25 yrs!

hyrider, stop tryin to make everything into a racial situation...Wilson is either light skinned or mixed he's not "white"
