STIMULUS PACKAGE IS A RIP OFF FROM GOVERNMENT!!!!

     I like many other americans heard of this stimulus package back in 2007. Bush made a prosposal that everyone would get some money to spend. The bill passed and checks where to roll out to us this summer.

   I was truly shocked of the lie that I was told about the amount of my stimulus package. I was told a certain amount that I would be getting. When I received  stimulus package;it was far from what they had promised before. Once again the government has lied to me. Just a word to you out there. Don't count on the government keeping there word this time either.

lareed, mine was exactly what they said it would be............to the penny.

but, MOST of us know, when you depend on the government for something, they ALWAYS fall short of reasonable expectation.............why should this be different?

lesson here: don't count on the government to take care of YOUR business.......that way you are NEVER disappointed.

Not many people paying attention are there?
President Bush wanted the package to be $1,200.00 for every one. That's what YOUR PRESIDENT WANTED FOR YOU!!!
But in order to reduce the good feelings that the voters might have for the Republicans the DEMOCRATS reduced the amounts to $600.00 and $300.00. I am surprised that the Democrats have allowed us to receive the money BEFORE the November election.

well at least sofaking got something last nite lol, i got extacly want the goverment said i would be getting for my check,although i heard all differnt amounts from different sources,but i looked at it like this"whatever i get is unexpected,and will be put to good use" have a good day,

I wouldn't complain to much if I were you, I didn't even get one, but I work like everyone.

I don't know about Bush and his "Oil Buddies" but yes, somebody is screwing us over at the pump.

Now, why blame our President for the gas prices that Congress should of done something about it ten years ago. If they allowed the evil oil companies to actually use the money they get from Congress (after the oil companies had to cough up that money) for building refineries and drilling in ANWR and the coasts with the shale oil possibilities, then gas prices wouldn't be where they are at now.

That peanut head Jimmy Carter is the one to blame for the gas crunch we have now...that info came from a Middle East General who saw Jimmy Carter destroy our ground intelligence when he was President. General Shimon Erem has seen the terrorists take hold of OPEC to enslave all nations, so that they could push Islam onto all nations...they are using oil to hold all of us prisoners...I am currently waitng for this video to get finished, so that I could show you all the proof with help from a fellow You Tuber. When it gets uploaded, and I get word of it being on You Tube, I will pass this on. And I must apologize on behalf of Californians for that sad excuse of a House Speaker Numbskull Ninny Pillosi! Talk about a piece of work! And if she had her way, we'd never have any money coming back our way!

Jimmy Carter, that's a new one. I can't say I'm to surprised, if they are a Democrat I've something that they are to blame for.

When it comes to this oil stuff, everybody is blaming everybody. Everyone blames oil companies, oil companies blame the government, government blames oil speculators, Rush Limbaugh blames Democrats (not only for oil, but everything else.), Democrats blame Middle Eastern Nations, Middle Eastern Nations blame America.

Hello, my name is Karl and I would like to reply to your post thanks. If you don’t like it please delete it. I do agree with last years stimulus package was not good, because they made us pay it back. I put mine in the bank so I did not miss it but it was disappointing nonetheless at tax time. I am the type that puts money aside for things and this did not help me. I hope that it had helped others though. I personally feel that the line in the sand against terrorists should have been drawn in Afghanistan instead of Iraq. Bush is the best president (Iraq) ever had. I bet you all dollars to doughnuts that McCain distances himself from Bush. God knows I work as hard as any of you people here and I am conservative as anybody out there too. That was just in case you thought that my point was invalid. See? (LOL) Anyway, thank you for letting me reply and vent, God bless from Karl. P.S I am sorry that you did not get what they said that you would.

I am a democrat, and I agree with you one the line in the sand being drawn in Afghanistan.

To the best of my knowledge, you don't have to pay back or owe tax on the stimulus payment.

Let's just have some kind of blast with these Stimulus checks...have a barbecue on Carbon Belch Day (Ha Ha!)...June 12th! Buy some huge chunks of meat, get that bag of charcoal out, get your grills going, and have a huge party with your friends! At least you can stimulate your stomach with 1 great tasty meal with that check. One big hurrah in the middle of the week! MMM! BARBECUE! MMM! (Har Har!)
