      I stand by the judges decision to sentence the young man charged with the beating of the  attorney. I feel that this man knew what he was doing. He participated with five other guys,in beating this man until he was almost near death. Twenty-Five years is a lot of time to spend in prison some would say, and some have been saying. I believe that the judge has a right to give his opinion on the case. I believe the raising of these young women and men should fall back on the fathers and mothers. If you raise your child to do right and be the best that he or she can be, you are helping our society for generations to come.

      Doing his ruling the judge stated that people should not have children if they can't provide for them and give them what they need. Having a family that can support a child is the best thing for the child not just financially. Supporting them can come in many forms. Give them goals to set for themselves. Let them know with hard work and determination you can become anything in this world. A lawyer, Doctor, Teacher, Nurse. Knowledge is power!!!

    Education can offer you so much more than any drug dealer can offer you on the street.  

   It also seems that Jessie Jackson apologies are running dry. Everytime that he says something I feel that it is intentional. Once the press gets it; he does his damage control. I believe that everything that he said about Obama he meant. 

     As an African American;I feel that we have enough going against us. Putting each other down is not the way to bridge this racial gap. Freedom of speech is our right (yes) but be respectful to all. Choose your words wisely because they will come back to bite you.

     I am so tired of seeing in Hollywood, who has slept with who and who left their wife for someone else.  A Rod a great baseball player and now he is in the news linked to Madonna. (True or Not True) is the question. I believe that there is somthing going on with those two. I watched the opening of the All-Stars game the other day and when he was introduced he didn't look happy. It looked like he had been crying. It has been in the news before that he has cheated on his wife in the past. She forgave him. Why would he put himself in that situation again. Why is it when a man gets a good woman they mess it up by cheating and laying with the first thing they see.

       I am so sick of celebrity ball players and celebrites sleeping around running from different peoples beds. ' How nasty is that"What happened to asking God to bless you with a mate and stick with that person.  Love, Honor and cherish. I guess that means nothing to some people these days. 

    I was deeply sadden to hear about the passing of Former White House Speaker Tony Snow. I will always remember that beautiful smile that he displayed during his days of interviewing people. On his last interview of him talking about his cancer; he showed very little signs of slowing down. He said that he was going to continue to live his life and do the things that he loves to do. Spend time with his family,friends.

    It hurts me when I see good people lives get cut short. There was so much more that he could have done here on earth. R.I.P God has a wonderful angel now.

        I was out and about my July 4th weekend,  I was driving and out of corner of my eye I spot this women applying a whole application of make-up as she was driving. We both came to a traffic  light and she continues to look in her mirror and apply more make-up. I say to myself she could have done her make-up at home. She's putting her life at risk and the others around her. Looking cute and pretty is cool but there is a time an a place for that.

      Cops can't be everywhere to watch these people that do such dumb thngs. We as people should know better. Remember while driving keep your eyes on the road!!!!!

      This summer has been a blast. I have taken the time to see a few good must see movies. First off  I have to give the special effects team who did the movie Jumper their props. That movie was excellent. 

       The Cleaner/ Samuel L. Jackson, very good I was surprised to see that this movie didn't make it to the theatres. This is a must see. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seats.

    Meet The Spartans/ If you want a good laugh you must see this. This movie kept me laughing.

     Pride/ This movie is and older year not a new release, but it is a must see to me. It is a story of the first African American Swim team. This movie taught me a lot and I am sure for those who watch it; it will teach you a lot too. Well to all keep enjoying your  summer, and as always take the time to see a movie.

     I watched coverage a couple of days ago on a communnity that is upset. They have good reason to be. I nice community will  be turned into a higher crime area if they allowed this beer and wine store to come in to there neighborhood. I am all for making more money for a community, but is the wrong way to go about this. There is a school that would be right across the street from this place.

     A public park where people walk their dogs, I would hate to see such a nice park turn into a place to hang out and drink on a Saturday night. With a junior highschool so close;what kind of message are we sending our todays youth.

   Then to top it all off next door to the place where they want to move this wine and beer place is an apartment building housed with recovering alcoholics. Just what they need more reasons to fall off the wagon. I am disappointed if this place would be given the ok to move there. This community needs to be saved from such thing from happening. 

      I was watching the news on Wednesday night. I saw a story of a dog that was shot and killed by a police officer. I have a problem with this story. The dog was in the the his own yard. The family was having some sort of party or get together in the back yard. Police were called to the house for a disturbence call. Police officer stated that the dog was barking and growling. " Of course you are on his property."

    To an animal you are a threat to his family. You are not familiar to this dog. He is going to let you know that you are unwanted. I believe that this cop should have some charges. I believe this could have been handled differently. The cop could have used pepper spray that would have hindered the dogs sIght.

      That dog didn't have to die. The dog was on his/her  owners property. Laws need to be changed. Killings are happening by cops and they are left with no punishment. More training needs to be done for these cops, before they are let out on the streets. Cops need to think before they shoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

     I like many other americans heard of this stimulus package back in 2007. Bush made a prosposal that everyone would get some money to spend. The bill passed and checks where to roll out to us this summer.

   I was truly shocked of the lie that I was told about the amount of my stimulus package. I was told a certain amount that I would be getting. When I received  stimulus package;it was far from what they had promised before. Once again the government has lied to me. Just a word to you out there. Don't count on the government keeping there word this time either.

     Every time Hilary makes a speech she keeps getting nasty and saying things that are uncalled for.  Hilary needs to step down and let Obama finish the race. I believe that Obama would make a good candiate for the domocratic side. There are many issues that need to be addressed. I believe that Obama will do the best that he can do to get those issues resolved. Health care is very important issue. People are trying to pay bills, such as  their phone bill or their light bill No one that is in need of Rx Medication should have to wonder if they should pay for there food or medicine.

         It is time for a change. I believe that Obama is the change that we need. Some are turning this election in to a race issue. Yes Obama is black. So what!!! The character of a person is what we should be looking at. Not their skin color. Vote for Obama because you believe in what he has to say or what he is tying to achieve. A person character was nothing to do with the color of there skin. I ask for you in November to vote for the person you think would do the best job for this country.

     I must say that I was really nervous for the Cavs on sunday. I didn't feel that they were going to win this game. I  felt that they were not in a good position for this final game. Never let a team have the upper hand on you.Win the first 2 to 3 games. To me that is the best shot you have to wining.

    Bringing it to game 7 puts a lot of pressure on our team to win. Home games are fun because you have all the seats filled and everyone is praying that you kick butt. The Cavs have to have the same enthusiam when they play away games. It is like they lose sight of what they are there for. 

       Lebron score was 45 points on sunday. Team members must try to make just as many basket has he does. Don't put  all the work on one player. I believe the trade that was made at the begining for the season hurt there game this season.

     There were a couple of players that should have stayed Marshall, Eric Snow I believe was traded. He was a good shooter. I think we have some good players out there now, but they are not ready to be the team that they should be.     The team that I know they can be.

     Calls that were made by the coach was so messed up. Why in the world would you have Wally on the bench in the fourth quarter. Did I miss something  I don't believe he was fouled out. Ben Wallace plays like a rookie to me. I don't see them playing together. Things were all over the place in game 7. We need better strategy next season. Come on guys you can do this!!!!

                 I Believe that Gloria James has every right to get an attitude with the way her son was treated on Mondays night game. She held her peace for as long as she could.  The pass couple of games that I have seen I have noticed that fouls were not being called the way they should have.

      I believe that they are trying to cause Lebron to miss future games. Celtic players are roughing him up a little to much for me. I believe that you are going to bump players and fall on the court and trip. The way this players are playing seems a little bit more personal to me. This is a game!!! Lebron needs to realize that everyone that smiles in your face is not your friend. Sometimes you have to be tough on the court. So them that you can be just as hard core as them.  Let them know that you are not a push over. People pleasing does not always work. In this case it is not working for Lebron.  My hats off to you Miss James handle your business.

         I have have seen some good movies within the last couple of weeks.  I have comprised a list of hits and and flops. Tell me what you think!

Before The Devil Knows your Dead: This movies is weird, but a good one.

AVP: Alien vs. Predator: Very good movie this could be a chick flick or a guy flick. It has a little bit of something , something for all.

 One missed Call: This movie was not very scary, this is a repeat for those movie called Final Desination. Not a must see.

Cloverfield: This movie was a waste of film, this movie reminded me of the Blair Witch Project. Rent this at your own risk....
