To those of you who like to jump to arrogant conclusions (even some of you "educated" folks on the left):

LaSalle Parrish District Attorney Reed Walters was elected as and still is a Democrat.  Does this make all Democrats racist pigs?  No.  I've seen A LOT of criticism of this "Racist Republican" DA that may be fair, but is obviously inaccurate regarding his political affiliation.

It took me one heck of a search to find his actual affiliation, after scrolling through scores of blog sites that all decried his inferred Republicanism.  I had to go through a maze of Louisiana State government websites to actually find it.  The media has no problem pointing out the Democrats calling for the Jena 6 to be pardoned, but they conveniently have left any and all political information about the man at the center of this whole fiasco.

Do you see why I HATE political parties?  In addition to shooting each other to avoid real change on behalf of the WHOLE populace, they even bring misinformation to the table through the "objective" media.

He is a Democrat in name only or DINO, just like Joe Lieberman and Harold Ford Junior, in fact his political views and worldview coincide with Republican views on race and how to treat black people.

Clearly he is a Conservative, as Conservatives believe that a schoolyard fight where a racist white kid is sent to the hospital for 2 hours and walks home is Attempted Murder.

You called him a Republican in another blog. And how do you even know that he is conservative? He may have looked at the facts and come to these charges. He may be wrong or he may have used poor legal judgement; I don't know. I'm not justifying the charges or villifying him because I haven't scoured all the documents. Knowing what I DO know, the charges appear to be excessive, and more should have been done to those who planted the nooses on the tree.
However, simply charging the black kid with attempted murder doesn't make the D.A. a racist or a conservative. Liberals came up with these "zero tolerance" garbage rules and regulations that see kids getting expelled from school for bringing giving a classmate Tylenol for a headache, etc.
You are making an inference, much like you inferred that he was a "Republiscum." If some pro-life protesters were arrested and Hybridtalk or another conservative came out and wrongly identified the DA as a Democrat or "obviously" a liberal, you'd call them on that too. Stop the spinning for just a moment and look at your words and your posts about fallacies.

Maybe you should look up the history of the Democratic party & the KKK before you speak of "Republican views on how to treat black people."

How do I know he is a Conservative? Because he tried 6 kids with ATTEMPTED MURDER for a school yard fight where the victim spent 2 hours in the hospital.

And the Democratic party switched in the 60s and 70s from a Conservative party to a Liberal party, those former Segregationists have either renounced their past views (Byrd) or they have switched to the Republican side.

Pablo Kielbasa/Johnny Miranda is a Conservative Republican

And many so-called "moderates" have refused to condemn his idea of reinstituting Segregation.

These moderates are betrayers and liars, because they are not real moderates, but Right Wing clowns who pretend that their Right Wing positions are normal (like Resegregation) or like the Torture of Detainees, or making fun of Prison Rape and other important issues.

I have condemned his ideas more often than you or I could count!! I've stood up against him on numerous occasions and had my posts deleted.

I've stood on YOUR side when it comes to racial issues, gay rights, and the environmental movement, as well as the hypocritical evangelicals who don't practice what they preach. Me not supporting socialized health care or communists that hide their true affiliations does NOT make me a conservative.

You claim to oppose those who judge others without knowing them, yet you try to paint me in a way that's completely inconsistent with facts.

Compared to YOUR stances, THE WHOLE FREAKING WORLD is right-wing. Just because I'm not a radical socialist, you portray me as a right winger. Keep the falsehoods coming....

Regarding Pablo's blogs, what do you want me to say that I (or you, or anyone else) haven't said already? I pay him no mind anymore. Why get into another pissing match with him, especially when half of my comments won't be posted for long anyway.

With your blogs, I at least get to speak. I know that you and I disagree on many issues, and I respect that. I've also expressed respect for YOU, even when our views haven't jived with one another. Apparently, you don't have respect for those who disagree with you. "Liberal" is supposed to mean "open minded," but this apparently is an outdated definition. You spit more and more venom with each post. EVERYTHING bad that happens is a result of "Republiscum" politicians and Christians. I've seen good people, good policy, bad people, and bad policy on both sides of the spectrum. The truest hypocrites can be found at both ends. The reactionary religious conservatives who hire gay prostitutes and do drugs, as well as the radical ANSWER folks who support tyrants w/ "ethnic cleansing" agendas are all hypocrites, plain and simple. I choose to avoid their "logic" by using common sense in my everyday life, as well as in the voting booth.

Well, I apologize if I'm coming off a little too stronly, but I want to make positive change and I'm running into serious reactionaries who are always putting one group or another down, and it is quite infuriating.

I think we can still agree on many things, but in order to make change I have to ruffle a few feathers to get things done and change peoples minds in an exciting and positive way.

I really do believe the United States is headed towards Fascist territory and compared to that I would look like a Communist, and over Fascism Oligarchy and Theocracy, I would prefer Socialism and even Communism to those things, which I really do believe we are sliding towards.

Again, it is not my objective to hurt your feelings or put you down personally, but I get frustrated sometimes from the constant Homophobia, Racism, Xenophobia, Nationalism, Jingoism, and Militarism that people are exposing on this site.

E-rock,

Remember Gorbash is still young and could use a course in adequate But he means well and I support is freedom of speech. I don’t support the attacks on good people on line that may see things even 1% different than he does. Take Hispanic people for instance, My wife speaks Spanish and is in fact Dominican. Gorbash seems to think that any Spanish speaking person is somehow connected and considers them selves a minority. Fact is, Cinco Daimio is a Mexican Holiday and not every Hispanic drinks Corona beer! In Addition, Puerto Rican people have nothing in common with Mexicans or Dominicans and do not take kindly to be grouped together when supported by his so called Minority theories. Dominicans are proud people that hate being classified as a minority. “ASK MY WIFE” or the millions of proud Dominicans in this country. In addition, why continue to stir the pot about Jena six? Do you think people online with the exception of Pablo Kielbasa are in favor of what is going on in Louisiana? Why ask if anyone was harassed at the Jena 6 Rallys? With the amount of posts he creates online about the topic you would think he would have been first inline at the rally! Gorbash, Why were you not there? I know most people in this country are good people and instead of feeding into this Racist free for all in the media Called Jena 6, People instead try to go with their lives being kind to their fellow man. My neighbors are Hispanic, Black, Asian and other. We get together every weekend and talk about the ridicules things going on in the world and are grateful we all have each othe

We share stories of our pasts and foods of our cultures as or children play together without a care in the world. I know to you that is what Republican Scum and Fascists do. However I must say my wonderful cultural thieving street loves to read your posts and would love to meet you in person. Not to sure it would be to thank you for your support. When you use racism to try to get your points across as you do in every post you write, you are in fact racist. Why not try to write just one good thing about people? Try to give hope to people by showing the good people can do instead of always name calling and focusing on the worst of people?

I can't go to as many rallies, protests, and marches as I would like, because I am very busy, going to school full time (my last Semester!) and working full time makes it hard- but that is a postive criticism!

I am againt Racism, Homophobia, Xenophobia, Militantism, Jingoism, and Nationalism.

I have no choice but to call out people who are promoting these types of ideas that I find abhorrent.

I want to live in a Peacefull society, where people care about the environment and work towards progress, that's all! Why am I getting so much resistance? I'm trying to make things better and people are trying to stop me and people like me like PolarBear.

Gorbash, Can't go to marches becuase I work full time and go to school full time! That is a possitive excuse?

That is a Fascist republiscum Excuse! Too busy trying to make yourself more successful while other people suffer in this country!

Fact is, I like you too. Just wish you would would write posta about the good people in this world do everyday instead of only name calling and the bad thigs that happen in society. People learn from the example of good deeds as well as the bad. You however only focus on the bad and that is what racist do!

I think most of us want to live in a peaceful society, but there are an awful lot of differences on how we need to get there, and that's not always a bad thing.

The interesting (and a little frustrating) fact is that for every leftist that sees this country headed towards facism, there's a reactionary neocon who sees it going straight down the drain because of liberalism. I think someone wrote a post last month asking if it would be possible to take a "vacation" week from politics and step back to look at "the other guy's" points of view. We'd certainly learn a lot about how each other think, and understanding each other is more than half the battle IMO.

Sorry...My head got caught in the clouds there for a minute.

Yes, working and going to school is an excuse, I wish I had the courage to quit my job and drop out of school and fight for radical social and economic change like I know I should. Hopefully I will be able to overcome my selfish materialism and finally be free of my Capitalistic and greedy way of thinking that has poisoned my mind and my heart, You are right to correct and criticize me for my failures.

I want you to work with me so that we can find out how to stop Global Warming and make sure that all people, straight or gay have equal rights under the law, and that real science is being taught to the children in schools and not religion.

I don't want to be your enemy, I think we can be friends, but please cooperate so we can work as a team to make positive change. I see that our society is headed towards a cliff and am desperate to find solutions and answers.

There is a change coming and electricity is in the air, will you give up some of the old ways of thinking and preconceived notions about the way of doing things?

Of course I would! But not at the cost of hurting good people who may take another road to get to the same place. I will never fight evil with evil! Rather overcome evil, crime and racism by showing the good side of people. Everywhere we look today we see evil and crime, why do we need to be reminded of it every day or every post! What we need to hear about is the good people do everyday so our youth have something possitive to look up too. finding flaws in people is way to easy today. Fight evil with good and let good lead the way to a better world.

As far as the term Minority, I hate the word! My family is no minority! in order to be a minority, someone thinks they are better than us. We are equal in every way. The Term minority will one day only be used to address the evil people in this world that feel a need to seperate people and races based on class, color, income or whatever. Let the racists of this world be the minority and let all good people regardless of race be the majority! One cannot classify good people as a minority and then tell them they are equal! That is why I hate the term. We need to view everyone on this earth as good and equal and leave the term minority classification to be used for the injust.

When a child is born other than white they are classified as a minority in this country! I hate that! Now the child from birth is labled from birth as less than and needs to fight fir equality! This has to stop and babies regarless of race need to labled as only Boy or girl and that is it!

Nothing to be ashamed about earning a living, Gorbash. I'm glad you earn your living, rather than rely solely on public assistance. Working your way toward the American Dream is not a crime, legal or moral. Besides, if it bothers you that much, you can donate it to your favorite charity. Keep up the good work, and good luck w/ your last semester. If I may ask, what kind of degree are you working toward?

Maybe you should save all that dough for your tax bill once your socialized medicine takes effect...

;^P Sorry, had to say it....

Married father of three. I love sports, nature, most types of music, and I'm an aviation enthusiast. I'm a moderate-thinking no-nonsense kind of guy who HATES excuses. I can't stand most of the Hollyweird pop cultural garbage being spoon-fed to this country. I'm frustrated by people who can name every American Idol finalist but have no clue who the Vice President of the U.S. is, and I'm bothered by the "Get out and Vote!" campaigns that want to send these space cadets to the ballot box! Did I mention that I like dark humor and sharp sarcasm?
