Wouldn't you agree that if someone wasn't with you that they were against you in which that indeed would be an enemy? Well I would and I do consider any racist or white person who thinks that he or she can justify there racism is a enemy of mines. All across the board racist white people of this city and country are time and time again grouping all young black males into one. To not realize and accept that every indivisual person no matter what the race or culture is different is to be an ignorant person. To believe in stereotypes and to actually act out on them is utterly stupid. After a while a person will began to turn angry when every where he goes he is hated befor he even gets there. All young black males are not thugs, gangsters, drug dealers, pimps, low lifes, lazy, and etc. Hmm you know most of us actually want to be something in life and in this society. It's not fair when white America turns on the T.V and see's some rap videos and what some of them are portraying and try to say "oh thats what all of these guys are up to". Do I listen to rap? of course I do, do i sag my pants? yes I do but I'm I a criminal, I'm I a drug dealer, I'm I looking for trouble or to harm someone ? no I am not. I'm I educated, do I love my family, do i want to earn a honest living? yes I do and yes I will. You listen up enemy, stop breaking this country and city in half with your racial spew of hate. Racial profiling and stereotyping are two forms of prejudices. We are all human beings and we all have feelings and pride. Sure there are a few bad apples in every bunch but I don't want to be viewed as one due to the color of my skin; also to add to that I don't want to have to feel like I have to constanly go around proving myself neither.

I hope you do make something good of yourself. that is what you are suppost to do with yourself. You mentioned that you are no thug, why then do you where the sagy pants down past your A_S_S exposing everything to everyone as you claim you do in your post if you are no thug? little children do not need to see that!! and believe it or not, It looks like trash and it brings down property value in areas where property is what people use as part of their retirement when you walk around in the middle of the street not using the sidewalk. after readiong your post, I'm starting to see why white people are getting angry at us. Why should you care what they think? try to think for yourself and it won't matter what they think! And take my advice, wear a pair of pants that fit! the Baggy stuff does not look cool, attractive or employed when you buy a pair that don't fit! If you are educated like you say, you should at least know that much. who will give you that job you claim you will have one day looking like trash? Common little brother, get it together! then you can get that job!!!!!! you may be a good person as you say, but when you go out of the way to not look the part, what do you expect people to think about us? you make it hard on me, then you got the nerve to post about it like you can't understand it all with your educated self. Man are we in trouble!!!!!!!!!!

What is up with "walking in the middle of the street" thing? Don't these kids know that's what sidewalks are for?! Not to mention that it's dangerous. Had some kids walking down the middle of our street Friday night. (2 older kids with 2 small children). My husband stopped the car and told hem very nicely to please move to the sidewalk! It was dark and they were all dressed in black. Not very safe, kids!

I am the one who posted this blog. I will always do what I am supposed to do and thats all I wanted to get across. Ok when did I ever say that I sag my pants below my but? I didn't say that and when did I ever say that I walk in the middle of the street and for that matter who said that I walk at all. Like I said no respect; I am not a little brother I am a 25 year old man. Do you understand that?. As far as the job thing goes if you read my blog entirely then you would of read when I specifically stated that there is a right time and place for everything meanining that I do know the difference between my pants sagging on my own leisure time and on the job(the clock)time. Quit insulting me. P.S to comment on the pants sagging your right it is ridiculous to where your pants down below your bottom or down to your knees. I myself don't do that but will I ever where some tight pants? hell no. My pants are just down enough that you can not see my bottom and I would never want to undecently show myself off, so what other insulting comments do you all have to make about me.

I understand where everyone is coming from. And Dall, you are right, there is no need for insults. I have a 21 yr old son and he was recently pulled over by the sheriff for a busted tail light. He was made to get out of his car, the K9 unit was brought in to search his car, and he was treated like a punk! I told him it may have been b/c of his piercings. He has his ear, eyebrow and labrya(not sure how to spell it) pierced. My son is a very good, responsible young man. The sheriff kept telling him he was playing a good game, saying he's never been arrested. They ran his id and found out he was telling the truth, but still treated him very disrespectfully! I do think it is wrong to pass judgement b/c of outward appearances.
By the way, we are white, country people. So unfortunitely it happens everywhere.

Dall - I was not talking about you when I made the comments about the pants and walking in the street. The previous blogger had mentioned those things and I just commented on them. Sorry if you thought I was talking about you. You sound like a industrious, intelligent young man in your blog!

I took this right from your post above.

Also, I am also Black and much older than you. Trust me, you are not yet a grown man. Grown men are not insecure of things you write about. Grown men have prostate problems! I am happy that you do seem to have some sense from what I gather from you. I'm proud of you for that. Remember this, those who follow others will never lead!! dress nice and stay in school, lead yourself with common sense and you will see how far you go in life! you will be just fine young man.

Dall.
please dont come across that all white people are racist, because you are sounding racist. I hate to tell you but i work with 2 black males and everytime they get in trouble they say its because they are black. or the company is racist. PLEEEEASE, WHY CRY RACIST everytime something happens. Thats why white people get mad and feel the way they do.I like some rap music and some of my friends are black, Just not the racist ones.

You seem like a nice guy from what you say about yourself. Your post seems to ask a question generalizing white people and how they feel about young Black men. When people reply to your post, they may be doing the same generalizing trying to answer your question about things that might be bothering them. You should not take any replies personal, for no one knows you personally. In the future, if you ask a generalized question regarding racial opinions, don’t be offended if you get a generalized reply. What if only radical racist white people reply to your post and the loving non-racist whites do not? What would your views of all white people be? See, it is not a fair question. To get a specific answer to a specific question on any topic, you must direct that question to a specific target. My answer to your question is NO. More white people do rather then don’t like young men such as you. Why? DUE TO THE FACT THAT THERE ARE MORE GOOD PEOPLE OF ALL RACES IN THIS WORLD THEN BAD. :~)

Dall,

Wouldn't you agree that if someone wasn't with you that they were against you in which that indeed would be an enemy?......Dall

Absolutely not! I'll give simple example of your statement possibly being un-logical.

I have a Wife and two children whom I love unconditionally dearly. As for my children, 6 & 10, there is not a day that goes bye that I don’t correct or disagree with them on something that they may do on a typical day to day basis. When it comes to those topics regardless of what it may be, I am clearly not with them on their views and make my point clearly as to why when warranted. So without a doubt, I’m not with them on their views when they are wrong about a topic or behaving improper. Yet, once again I love them unconditionally and only have their best interests at heart; never would I consider them as my enemy for that, nor would they towards myself. I’m doing my job as a responsible parent only to direct them to work towards being the best they could be. (They may thank me later). LOL

Many people have very different views on life, politics, religions, books, weather, colors, foods, clothing, cars, houses, cities, Presidents, leaders, jobs, wars, economy, money, etc, etc, etc. that is what makes this world a great place, people will have different views. We actually often learn from different views and perspectives from other people. That should never lead to you or I being their enemy. You may want to rethink your position on your view of your statement in the first paragraph of your Posts statement. It is possible you may be wrong on y

Yes I appreciate all of you all's comments accept for one guy inparticulor (excuse my speeling)."Gangster"...Well for one if your so old and intelligent then why are you calling yourself "gangster"? Do you have a problem with me listening to rap music? and everytime I seem to make a new post you still seem to not get it. I am grown man, a young one but yet still grown because I have to wake up every morning just like you do and go to work and pay my bills. I have a child that I am responsible for so stop insulting me and your wrong because all grown men do not have prostate problems and if that is the only way that you view a man to be grown then you are nothing more then an old fool. I never once said that I was insecure about anything that has to do with myself. I appreciate the advice that you give but I never once told you that I was a follower and I never once told you that I didn't dress nice or even presentable. I do dress nice and I want you to remember something...I am 25 years old that means that I grew up in a time where this is how we dress, not everybody but this is how I choose to dress. I feel the need to once again reinterate to you that no I don't sag my pants disgustingly and that there is always going to be a major difference between how you dress as an elderly man and how I am going to dress as a young one. If I was a follower then I would be on the corner with my pants way down below my but and I would probaley have an extensive criminal record in which I have none of so if you are a white person and you are reading this then I apoligize if you think th

Ganster,
I'm sorry but I have to say this..what the hell is wrong with you? you said that after reading my blog that you understand why white people hate us...because i said that I listen to rap and I sag my pants...forgive me but I did not know that that is a justifiable reason to hate someone. You are an idiot. You said that if I am not a thug then why do I sag my pants, then why is your screen name Gangster? I think that people have alot more of a reason to hate some old fool calling himself gangster than a young person that is stating that he is striving to be something positive and productive. Let me ask you something "Gangster" What crimes have you commited in your past? because I haven't commited any unless you view my sagging pants and my choice of music as a crime. Hey are you a rapper because rappers certainly address themselves as G's meaning gangster. It don't take me to be locked up for 5 or ten years to learn whats right and whats wrong like it seems to have took you, my mother and father taught me right from wrong.

I would also have to agree that the phrase "if you're not for me youre against me" is not true. My best friend and I are total opposites. We don't agree on about half the things we talk about. But we have a mutual deep respect for each other that has lasted 25 years.

"I'm I educated, (excuse my speeling)."... Dall

Dall,
I can't even believe you'd say your educated, look at this.
You said you're 25, looks to me like now is a good time to take some English and Spelling classes to better your future. At this rate, don't look for a job in communications.

Bill Cosby has had a lot to say about this the last four years. He as a book that might be helpful to you.

Bill Cosby and Alvin F. Poussaint have a powerful message for families and communities as they lay out their visions for strengthening America, or for that matter the world. They address the crises of people who are stuck because of feelings of low self-esteem, abandonment, anger, fearfulness, sadness, and feelings of being used, undefended and unprotected. These feelings often impede their ability to move forward. The authors aim to help empower people make the daunting transition from victims to victors.

“Wouldn't you agree that if someone wasn't with you that they were against you in which that indeed would be an enemy?”

Not always. Yes, President said this after America was attacked to clarify his position on the war he was going to conduct. Yes, Jesus said this to those who were listening to Him, because Jesus was explaining to His listeners that there is a war going on. A war for our souls and against them. Jesus came to rescue our souls from the Enemy or our souls.

It is true in politics and sports and other competitions too. People who are not for Liberalism are smeared and attacked every day because Liberals are not interested in political debate, they are interested in winning the debate, at all costs.

But in general, people who are not with me are not necessarily my enemies. They may be uninformed, or neutral on something I am passionate about. That doesn't make them my enemy.

"I don't want to have to feel like I have to constanly go around proving myself neither. "

I think that I felt a need to prove myself until I was about 41 years old. After that, I didn't need to prove myself. (must be the old age...) B^)

when i was managing at ski resorts i hired blacks, rastas, columbians, brazilians austrailians, and real africans. i saw many cultures and dressing styles. now since i have been around these many personalities i am almost immune to people appearance within reason. now for the guy who just jumped at the "real african" comment, im talking about black people from africa not americans. when you talk to africans about american race problems they will mostly say black americans need to be thankful they are in america and not in the many war torn areas of africa with tribal warfare all around and racism within the different black tribes. i had one african tell me he compares the gang wars in amreica to the tribal wars in africa. one time while in denver we passed a group of black guys with the gangster dress style and the two africans almost stopped in their tracks in fear they would be shot. yea it is a style of dress but it is portrayed on tv and the media (the same media which keeps racism alive) as bang bang , bling bling, homey mutha, and if this what foreigners are thinking then it must be stereotype created by those who dress it. i grew up dressing in skater and grunge and i got my share of insults and stereotyping, but all we did was skate and keep to ourselves.
dall, on your bio your first statement is you are a "black african american". if you did not state that no one would know or care. you are proud to be black and that is great for i am proud to be irish, but when in the world of social blending, no one cares!! if i describe you as the black guy over there, i am ca

I'm a young black African american male, 25 yrs. of age. I am educated and very out spoken. I do realize there's a time and place for everything because I do love to listen to rap and i love to sag my pants. I am a very kind hearted individual who always wants to help and never wants to hurt. I work and i do earn a legitimate living. I love to stay up to date with current affairs that are around the world. I costantly think about and plan for my future. That was then and this is now and in continuing my way of life as far as positivity goes I have now been faithfully serving U.S as a U.S Soldier in the Army. Serving in a time of war and is currently deployed to afganastan. I am a year older and a year wiser and constanly furthering myself to provide a better future for my family and me.
