National CIty is full of bulls**t!!! They had told the public that everything is find with them, then this week they will be laying off 4000 people for the next 3 years and now this the PNB will be buying NCB.  So very disappointing for us Clevelanders!!!!! The excutives for NCB should be tarred and feather on Public Square.

I would rather see PNC bu the bank and bring it back to life, then for the FDIC to have to bail NCB out when they closed their doors.

And besides Cleveland - Did you really think that NCB would tell their employees their plans on selling? They don't want 4000 pisssed off employees going "postal" on them!

The employees should have been aware of the things at NCB especially when there stock fell to $1.50, and the quarrterly reports showed huge losses. If they didn't see it coming then they had there heads in the sand.
I am sorry about the lay offs, but when companies merge, they don't need to duplicate services. I rest with saying that my Bank NCB is now in better hands, and I know that my checks wilkl be processed and the local NCB branch doors will not be locked.
Want a locally owned bank switch to First Merit, I also have an account there, and it is a very solid local bank

How about the fact that PNC received $ from the bailout, then bought NCB. Our $ is being used and abused. AIG and all there parties!!!!! Again I ask.... Why does it seem that America rewards bad behavior while the ones who take care of there own business gets the bill!
