Its a shame that the 89 years old grandmother from Ohio was arrested for keeping a football that landed on her yard by some mischief children.   I think its so wrong that the police has to arrest her for keeping the children's football. I really simplized with her, because my grandmother had to tell hardheaded children from playing in her yard. Where are the parents for these children? They should show more respect here to this lady's property.

I don't think its right for grandma to keep the football, but the neighborhood had plenty of warnings for not playing in her yard. The charges should be drop on her.

I agree. I think she was just trying to teach him a lesson, although maybe she shouldn't of kept it, I'm assuming that was her reason. But for her to be arrested? That is ludacris and plain stupid. You would think she commited a worse crime. The charges should be dropped! How petty!

Shoot when I was little and our balls went into my neighbors yard to many times they would keep them. They would give them back to my parents at the end of the day but we learned to respect other people's property. Kids these days just don't care they have no respect and they learn that from the parents, now the cops that's just ridiculous because they just showed the kids that it's ok to disrespect this ladies property because she's the one who ended up in trouble. The justice system is backwards! They need to leave this woman alone!

I agree. kids or parents don't have any respect for other peoples property. And the cops are idiots for what they did. Some times kids will through the ball in someones yard just to tick them off thinking it funny.

Kids these days have no respect whatsoever. It starts and ends with the parents....where are they, huh?

Half the time the parents are at home on their butts drinkin or smokin whatever and just don't want to be bothered with the kids. We live across the street from a school and we have a relativly short street, school let out yesterday and groups of kids, mind you middle school age, were running and yelling and jumping on peoples cars that were parked on the street, well my neighbors car was one of them, she nicely asked the kids to move on because there are babies and older people on this street, and they told her "F" you what are you going to do about it B***h. These kids are between 9 and 12 years old! The kids think it's funny and even threatening to take them to their parents doesn't even scare them. They harrass people for fun, that's just sick! and the police are worthless by my house, they should patrol when the kids get out but they don't and when they do come that still doesn't get to these kids. Its a frightening thing that these kids are the future. Parents need to be held accountable for their children and then maybe when they start having to pay fines or go to jail then they will start to discipline these brats

When Obama is president, he will take footballs from those who have them and give them to those who do not. Spread the wealth.

While it is petty that she was arrested for it, who said that the kids were playing on her lawn, your telling me the ball didn't go over a fence from another yard? I haven't read the story, but I am just making some assumption about it.

Hybrid, most of those that would lose their football got it only by bullying those that had earned it and would only now be getting it back.
