I think Cinncinati should be sold to Kentucky. Those religous idiot about not touch and close strip clubs down at midnight are going too far with their views. If you don't llike strip clubs then outlaw them in your town and leave the rest of the alone. IF Cinncinati don't want tourists to come there that's their business. Cincy isn't call the "Queen City" for a good reason.

You know they are going to do the same thing with the smoking ban. They will make some bill that is not what the law will actually be and people will vote yes and then they will change it. I don't go to strip clubs, I don't agree with strip clubs but I don't go. The government is trying to make it if one person doesn't like it it should be banned. It is starting to get old and it has only just begun.

yep lets just let the immoral run the earth, lets keep banning prayer in schools, letting who ever or what ever get married and call themselves a married couple, allow same sex marriage partners to raise children, yeah that would be much better for our society.
will be glad when the RAPTURE happens, I will be OUTTA HERE! LOL

Strip clubs are such small potatoes that I can't believe this is even an issue. Leave them for the 22 year olds who think it's cool to give a stripper all the money they work so hard to earn. I have been in strip clubs maybe 5 times in my life for bachelor parties, and I find them completely boring outside of watching the guys drool over the women they can't have. Too funny.

This state needs income, yet nobody will understand that casino gambling would provide a big tax base. IF they can somehow keep the tax shelters and corruption out of it, casinos would be a blessing for Ohio. The claims that casinos would draw an unsavory element are ludicrous. Unless the fear is that there would be an influx of prostitutes to compete witht he regulars along Euclid Ave....

udderlyalady - You are assuming that the state will go to hell if we don't ban strip clubs?! Get real. And as to same sex couples raising children? Believe me - they do better than a lot of heterosexual couples. You are waiting for the rapture which means you consider yourself a Christian. Where in Christianity does it teach you to hate someone because they're gay? Please let me know - because the last time I checked, Christ told us to "love one another" and "treat your neighbor as you would wish to be treated". If you are such a believer in Christianity, then let God sort it out in his own way - NOT YOURS!

And yes - in this economically depressed state of ours, casino gambling would bring a lot of money into Ohio. But all the right-wing Christians keep voting it down when it comes on the ballot. Why? Are they afraid that grown men and women won't know how to control their gambling? Funny - it works in Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Indiana, Nevada, etc.

I voted for the casinoes for Ohio to keep the money here in Ohio instead going out to Detroit,MI, Windsor, ON, Erie, PA and West Virgina. I get very tire of the Religious Right for not keeping their noses to themselves.

The Religous Right have to be careful that bill may come up to ban their church fundraising like bingo nights, raffles, casinos nights at these churchs. Whole alot gambling going on here.

Leave the strippers alone in their destinated area of town and don't go there. There alot if hiporcisy by these Religous Right. The "Conservative Media" need to be quiet.

Hey - you have a good point. If what has been said is true about getting issues on ballots, we should form a group and have petitions signed to ban churches gambling nights as well! I agree - it's okay for the churches, but it's not okay for the State. Someone once said that it's okay for churches because these events help susidize expenses for the schools, etc. Well, if handled properly, don't you think gambling casinos in Ohio would do the same for ALL schools? Plus, don't you think it would benefit Ohio's economy overall? Why should just the churches benefit? Why not everyone and ALL education systems - not just the private Christian ones?

As far as the strip clubs - leave them alone. These people are earning money to live just like the rest of us. Who cares? Don't like the club? Don't go there!

The rapture is not a traditional theological concept, it was invented/introduced by dispensationalists from the south, people like Tim LaHaye, though it has roots in earlier radical Christian thinking. Many mainstream theologians reject rapture theology, in favor of Christians living under a strict moral code, regardless of when the end of the world comes about. According to classical/traditional church teachings of both mainline Protestants and Catholics sects only God knows when the end will come, and it is a waste of time to attempt to predict when that time will occur.

Believing that one is going to heaven and that everyone who doesn't think or believe like you, is a very arrogant position to take, and hatefull, both arrogance and hate are character traits that Jesus Christ (the one the bible keeps telling you about) tell Christians are incompatible with a spiritual lifesytle. It is not for you to decide who is immoral or not, as a Christian your job is to follow Christ's teachings and let God be the judge of the sin's of men. There is nothing immoral about being gay, and prayer is not banned in schools, any student or teacher can start or join a prayer group and pray before, during, or after school, just like any other religios group in a public school. What you are probably are refering to is the Constitutions First Amendment Establishment Clause which bans government promotion of religion, since public schools are part of the government, school officials cannot force students or staff to participate in religious activities, nor should they. It is immoral to force religion on people, and according to the bible it is incorrect way of spreading the bible's message. It is also illegal.

If you don't like strip clubs--don't go there. If you don't like the programming on TV--change the channel. Why is Ohio even getting involved with this??? It's stupid. We've got bigger fish to fry, like education, medical care & overcrowded prisons.

The Religious Right had gone too far. I wished I could remember what their web address was, because they had listed family friendly hotels and motels that don't show adult movies in their hotel and motel rooms. Look people you have to pay to see the porn on the tv sets in the rooms. If you are concern about pornography on your room them don't pay for the feed.

The Religious Right and the Conservative Media need to be cautious what they try to tell the public about their views. They don't represent my views on alot of things. We should pull a "don Imus" protest and get them booted off our public airways.

I agree leave the strip clubs alone! From what I understand from guys I know who have gone, the patrons aren't allowed to touch the girls anyway and they have bouncers to help protect the girls.

Either way many of these girls (at least ones I have met) are just trying to make a living. It is not illegal so who cares.

Infrastructure crumbling...
Factories closing...
Schools failing...
Higher education costs going up...
Taxes going up...
Consumer prices going up...
Crime going up...
Security threats...

-And to think that some nitwit pushed THIS legislation to the front of the line. Still wonder what's wrong with this state?
