Here is a copy of my email to Fox News, you know the one that claims to be FAIR AND BALANCED......

I am a faithful listener of Fox News and watch Fox and Friends every morning. I am highly disappointed in the treatment of our Cleveland Indians baseball team. It's bad enough the lack of respect our city gets by the national announcers, ESPN,  newspapers, and so on and let's not forget  the way the games were called  against the Yankees  so blatantly  biased and one sided, but what a slap in the face to hear your show this morning when the Indians ARE leading the series 2 to 1 calling Boston a winner to play against the Rockies! That was the final insult! We ARE leading the series 2 to 1 and you are calling Boston to win the series when they HAVE NOT beat the INDIANS yet. ESPN radio this morning is calling the series Rock The  Redsox. I'm tired of our baseball team being treated like a joke and the assumption that Boston will be playing the Rockies. Even when we beat the Yankees all the news was about Joe Torre being let go and what the Yankees did wrong and not the outstanding plays made by Cleveland players. The media never, ever, gives credit to Cleveland sports teams. Cleveland is a great city with outstanding fans who treat  visitors from other cities during playoff games with respect  because this city has CLASS. They interviewed a few people on our local news last night from Boston and they commented on how well they were treated by our fans, and that it would not be the case if they were in New York. That from the mouth of a Boston fan. Where were the highlights from last nights win against Boston????? Where was Kenny Lofton's home run highlights???? I am so hurt and disappointed after this morning's show and didn't expect that from you guys. Maybe the bugs in Cleveland (midgies) blocked transmissions and you weren't able to watch last nights game.........   I am a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan since the days of Rocky Colavito and win or lose i wear our logo with honor as i have since i was a kid. I am proud of the team and proud of our city. This young team is playing with heart and you can see it on their faces with every win. It is so nice to see the look of thrill and excitement on those boys. A look you only see on little kids faces playing their very first baseball game or walking into a major league stadium for the first time. In my eyes our team has already won by playing the game the way it was meant to be played regardless of the adversity and insults from the media. They are a joy to watch and all i have left to say is GO TRIBE!   Sherrie from Mentor, Ohio CleveIndBball@aol.com

I can't stand  watching the Indians play with such bias announcers on TBS!!!! It makes me so angry having to listen to such obvious favoritism because they hope to see the Yankees play Boston instead of the Indians. If you can't announce the game fairly you have no business in that seat!!!! When the Indians make a great double play or get a home run you don't hear half the enthusiam or credit given to our players like you hear when a Yankee player does something. They might as well be announcing the game  from the Yankee dugout the way they are calling it. It's not fair to the people in Cleveland and I say let Tom Hamilton and Mike Hegan broadcast the playoffs!!  The TBS announcers comments are also rude and critical of our team. They call us out of the game as soon as the Yankees can put a few runs together. Being a life long Cleveland Indians fan i am so tired of the years of abuse and disrespect shown to our sports teams and our city. I have faith in our team that they can go all the way and win it all. If we did i'm sure TBS, New Yorkers,  ESPN, and so on  would say we got lucky because of the midgies,  the wind was blowing our way,or too much noise coming from the Rock-N-Roll Hall Of Fame,   or whatever excuse they would come up with rather than give us the credit we deserve for having the BEST DARN PLAYERS and the BEST DARN CITY in the whole United States! We have the best fans anywhere with what all the others cities fans are lacking in, and that's CLASS!

GO TRIBE!!!!!

People should have to take classes on pet care before they are allowed to adopt a pet. Or at least be  given a manual with do's and don'ts for pet owners. I would be willing to give the classes for free if it saves one pet from being harmed. I realize that most accidents happen because people just didn't realize the dangers of some of the things they do.

PLEASE  be aware that just because the temperature has cooled outdoors that you can leave your pet in the car with the windows up and they will be ok. As long as the sun is out your car still heats up inside. A pet should never be left in the car without leaving windows open for ventilation or they will  get overheated.

I was leaving a popular restaurant and there was a dog in the car panting very hard and becoming distressed. I went back in and asked for some water from behind the bar and searched for  the owner who then came out to give his dog something to drink. He was amazed at the condition of his poor pet. Some people just don't realize what can happen in a short time and then some just don't care.Even though the temperatures have cooled your car gets stuffy and uncomfortable for your pet. I personally love to take my dog with me for a ride in the car but if i need to run in the store my husband or I is stay in the car with him while the other runs in. One of the first things people do when they get in the car is roll down the window because it's stuffy in there. Well imagine your poor pet being locked up in the car without the windows open.

On a lighter note here is a little sports humor for today......

Two boys are playing hockey on a frozen pond in Cleveland when one is suddenly attacked by a rabid Rottweiler. Thinking quickly, the other boy takes his stick and shoves it under the dogs collar, twists it and breaks the dog's neck, saving his friend. A reporter who was strolling by sees the incident. He approaches the boys and congratulates the heroic youth. He tells the young man that he's a reporter and tells him "I'm going to have the headline read..."Indians Fan Saves Friend From Vicious Animal," then begins writing in his notebook. "But, I'm not an Indians fan", the little hero replied. "Sorry, thought all Cleveland kids were," said the reporter and he starts again. "Browns Fan Rescues Friend From Horrific Attack," he continued writing in his notebook. "I'm not a Browns fan either," the boy said. "Oh, I assumed everyone from Cleveland was either for the Indians or the Browns. What team do you root for?" the reporter asked. "I'm from Pennsylvania and I am Steelers fan," the child said. The reporter starts a new sheet in his notebook and writes: "Little Brat From Pennsylvania Kills Beloved Family Pet."

GO TRIBE......Get out the brooms and SWEEP THOSE YANKEES BACK TO NY!!!!!!!!

I am very sad writing this post. I have been a Tribe fan since being a kid in the fifties. Win or lose, I stood by my team. My fondest memories are watching them play with my grandmother on a small black and white tv. Being of Italian descent she always rooted for Rocky Colavito. When I started dating my now husband in the sixties we always went to the games together and dreamed of taking our children to see the Indians play. We did just that after having three wonderful kids who share our love of baseball. What an honor it has been taking my  8 grandchildren to see the Indians play, and what a thrill for me that they share my love of the Indians. My first born grandson is named Jacob, after Jacob's Field. To see them play ball in the yard and pretend to be Indians players and to fight as to who will get to be Kenny Lofton. You see my daughter has six kids and only one of them is a girl(number 7 is on the way). What a great feeling it is for me  to see them out there in the dirt playing like we did back in the fifties. After all isn't that who baseball is for, little kids with dreams and asperations of growing up to be just like their hero's. My one grandson even wants to change and be a lefty just to be like Kenny Lofton. We joined the Kids Club at the Jake and it was terrific. If you have children and grandchildren it is a great thing being offered by the Indians. What i am sad about is i wanted to take my grandchildren to a playoff game. What a wonderful thing, and a dream come true to sit in the stands with the kids, but the tickets are in the hands of the greedy ticket brokers who want outrageous and unaffordable prices for seats. What a sad day for baseball in Cleveland that those seats can't be filled with the innocent faces of ectatic kids with their gloves in hand waiting for their hero's to take the field................................

GO TRIBE!!!!

I was very disturbed to hear that the shooter exhibited abnormal behavior since early childhood. The grandmother stated this in an interview. I  feel that every child should be evaluated upon entering school for any psychological disorders. You can have them tested yearly like you have a medical exam to insure booster shots are up to date. The testing should be done all the way through college and given every year through graduation. Police and fireman are required to have these tests and i feel strongly that students and teachers be required also. If our children are to be in a safe and protected environment this should be enforced. You need to know that the people your children spend eight or more hours a day with do not pose any serious threats to their safety. This would prevent future tragedies whether it be a student taking a gun and harming fellow students, as well as a teacher having inappropriate behavior with a student.

We get tested yearly for cancer to catch it early enough before it kills, don't we? Then  the safety of our children should be taken into account also. Stop it before it kills! Isn't this the reason we get them vaccinated for measles to prevent an outbreak? Then STOP the outbreak of violence in our schools. Find the disease early before it kills anymore children!

Had this person been tested and not been allowed to attend college without getting the help he needed, this may have been prevented. And the help these children need should be provided for them also. This world is a scary place, much different than when i grew up and we must do things to protect our children

I remember over thirty years ago. a skit on Saturday Nite Live taking place in an eatery where one of the actors pulled out a gun and shot the person he was disagreeing with. Then the audience began laughing because the watier took out a gun, and the cook, and then all the other patrons and began shooting at each other. Well we're not laughing now. I use this because one of the DUMBEST comments i heard today on the news was to allow students to carry guns to class for safety. This is their solution???? Can you imagine the repercussions of that?

Seriously consider how psychological testing could prevent this from happening again.......................

How about that Sizemore! Three homeruns for three games! I believe that is a first for the Indians. He is only the fifth player to ever start the season with a homerun in three consecutive  games. Also, if he gets one tomorrow he will be only the third in history to have started with a homerun in four straight games. And those players are Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays! He is in great company...........GO TRIBE

Hopefully we don't have too wet of a spring. I live in Mentor and in our development we have soil that is called red hook.  It has an extremely high water table, and takes forever to dry up. With the heavy snow and rainfall we have already experienced, we can launch the floats into the yard, instead of the pool ;-)

When i was a kid (back in the stone age as my children so kindly refer to it) we actually experienced all four seasons, just not all in the same week like we do now. Even the storms we have are different. They seem to be more intense and unpredictable. I used to love to sit on the porch with my grandmother and listen to it storm and after it was done it smelled like a fresh rainfall. Unless you grew up in the fifties like i did you won't understand what i mean. The air quality just isn't the same now.

Well  Murray (world's greatest dog) and I are  looking forward to getting out again on our daily walks. He wasn't too crazy about the cold weather. All my furry friends are happy to see the snow melt too. I have this one squirrel that i have been feeding for about four years that will climb my kitchen screens and look in the windows and let me know if i am late with breakfast. I have a great picture of that i will have to upload.........

Hope things dry out in time for our Easter Egg Hunt!
